WJXT - The Weather Authority

There is one high temp in the hourly and a different one on the ten day, its like different forcasts.Repeatedly reported to channel4 and nothing is done.Apparently they like to cover all temperature ranges so they can claim being right. Pretty sad contacted news 4 and Graham to no avail. Get a better app! Went to fox weather, they have consistent readings

I have used the older version for YEARS and loved it. Better than my other weather apps. Now this looks like the rest. And I hate the radar! Seems I'm not alone! Bring back the old version! I also have noticed the satellite when zoomed in is a very old image. The old app which used Google maps was much more up to date. Mapbox, the current image supplier, is using an image that is AT LEAST from early 2018. Edit: note it says it's 1° with light snow. I'd post a screen shot if i could.

I love the new UI, save for one little thing... The radar. The previous version's radar was much more visually appealing & detailed. The new one doesn't allow for satellite view (that I can tell anyway). It's a huge plus that there is now FutureCast though so I guess it all balances in a way. If the previous radar (and accompanying overlays, views & whatnot) were implemented, it'd be perfect!

It used to look nice. The layout was easy and simple. While the new forecast page is cool, that's about it. I much prefer the older version, and it seems everyone else did too. The radar now looks harsh and plain, is harder to navigate, and doesn't give the clear, wide data I used to get.

I usually don't write reviews especially for apps, but the update to this weather app is awful. For years I only used wjxt's weather app, but I will be deleting the app and putting weather bug back on. I'm sorry about this. I am loyal to channel 4 for 40 years. Between this and your newscast with all that awful music. I probably won't be watching your newscast too much longer. Again I am so sorry.

I live in Miami but depends on WJXT for my weather report every day. Thank you so much.

This was the best weather app I've ever used until the update. I'm not opposed to change, but the new version simply doesn't work correctly. As others have mentioned, the radar went from the best I've used, to broken and counterintuitive. I deleted the app and am still looking for an alternative as good as the previous version. Back to the drawing board!

I've watched this news channel for their weather forecasting for years. The weather app has been terrific and I love the 10-day outlook and live radar. Weather forecasting is hard, and this team does it better and gets it right for NE Florida more often than many other weather teams I've watched. Thank you!!

Hate the "update." Took away the radar on satellite view. which was the reason this was the only weather app I use. Now the time at the top (that shows the time loop of the radar you're seeing) is showing up to 12 hours in the future, and it's set on default. So I'm not even sure what I'm looking at. I'm only in the Play Store to find another weather app because I deleted this one.

I've used this app for years. A week ago it just stopped working! I don't know what changes you've made but please fix it.

Used to LOVE this app, relied on it until tonight. Multiple Severe Thunderstorm Warnings AND A TORNADO WARNING, but as the alerts continually PING, you're FORCED to watch a 30-60 second commercial to get details. Dangerously playing with safety all for self-promotion and ad dollars. Don't bother. If you have it? DELETE IT.

While the map is accurate for the area, the forecasts rarely show anything but the ad and no forecast information. Maybe thinking of the customer instead of shoving advertising down our throats could improve the app. I'd give 0 stars, but have to give 1 because that's the lowest.

The new live radar is terrible. Moves way too fast. I liked the old radar map that showed just the current half hour or so, and it moved slow enough so you could actually see the areas the precipitation was covering.

I want to like this app but the force play ads that you CAN'T STOP OR MUTE on Weather Authority Alert Days are a deal breaker. Not to mention that they play like annoying ghosts even when the ad isn't there thanks to a bug, blasting out your ears and sure to wake up anyone nearby who might be sleeping.

Like many others, loved the app before the update. Continued to use anyway until some strange, very cold apparently, town kept popping up as my default town; uninstalled, concerned with the security.

This app used to be good. Now it's horrible. The design changed and the radar map has changed. The map doesn't even look professional. Whoever changed this should be fired.

With updated version there's no way to turn off the stupid notifications or to customize which notifications you get. I'll just switch back to the weather app that came on my phone.

Storm pins will not load. Constantly says "Oops, something went wrong". I downloaded the app just to use the new functionality where people post where supplies can be found. Seems to me if New 4 Jax is advertising something, it probably should work.

Terrible decision to make you watch an ad every time you want to check out the interactive part of the notification. Uninstalling and going back to weatherbug and windy.

This use to be the best app for local weather and radar but since their update the radar isn't as high definition anymore and it shows the future radar. I've tried resetting to default buy keeps showing future I just want to see past fyi the present radar.

Updated my review from one star to four stars. Satallite view is back again and looks a lot like the version before the terrible update. Once again it will be my go to weather app. Thank you! And please, no major changes going forward. :-)

Well i updated this used to be a wonderful weather app but now it's not a wonderful app the problem with thos app now is for some reason somoene decided to leave out the option to view the radar map in satelite view which i just so happen to love about the app i just bcc wish someone could fix it to where i/other people could view the map in satelite view

WHY can you not fix the radar??? This is a weather app and I can't even see where the rain is during bad weather. I used to love this app and used it a lot. It has been months now. Please fix THE RADAR!

Use to love app. Moving to First Coast News weather app. The new app is to artificial and animated. I used to like the realistic view better. Now it looks worse than the Weather Channel app.

Covid supply pins not working. After selecting pins, I attempt to click channels, and I get the message 'Oops something went wrong" and will not open.

Forced to download app if you want weather info. Silly. I like the news app, but when you click view live radar it directs you to install this app. Why can't you just have one app WJAX.
