This app seems like a haphazard version of their less than helpful website. I would love to know by the simple category system for plastics for example that I can recycle in my area which is difficult to find at least. People could recycle more if the systems in place used the other systems in place and thought people how to use them...

KISS - keep it simple stupid. This app is a complete waste of time. We recycle a lot and WM is so vague on what can be recycled. You have to be specific when searching but 95% of the items I searched for weren't in their database. Tell me if #1 or #2 is accepted or #5 is not. Mind as well save money and throw everything out. Then I don't have to pay for a worthless recycling bin.

Someone else mentioned a barcode scanner would be good for items. Would be a great idea. Then you could provide specific, if pre-canned, reasons for the recyclability.

App does nothing more than send you the website and the website is not mobile friendly.

Garbage App, no pun intended. Enter "milk carton" and app says garbage. Labeling on recycling bin, and pdfs from WM website say to recycle milk cartons...

Waste of time

I'm updating my original review. This is a worthless app. The first 2 items I searched for came up with zero results. How can you not have an answer for getting rid of old tires? How about old TV's? Ok, I'll give you an easier one, Starbucks plastic cups used for Iced Tea? These are fairly common items. If you can't answer any of these, why bother with the app? Scrap this and start over.

Quite helpful! Solves household debates in a flash!

Wish it had a barcode product scanner to look up what goes where

Cannot browse list of items. Searching is specific to what waste management calls the items, so it's either hard to find items or I am looking up items that aren't in the database.

Very handy to figure out what is recyclable, compostable, etc. I have been throwing out my milk cartons based on erroneous assumptions, and now will be sure to recycle them! I'm looking forward to reducing my trash even further. 😊

I only downloaded for the free mug, but actually found it useful and interesting. I'm a little ashamed at some of the things I thought were recyclable. Now that I have the app, I can recycle the flier on my fridge as this app is more convenient.

Just covers 2 counties, where is Pierce County in Washington. Whoever does your apps doesn't know what they're doing. A WM app shouldn't look like a healthcare enrollment website
