useful reminders, fun interactions. But don't get rid of your mental health professional nor your friends just yet. I like that the app brings practical tips to the "conversation", like how to relax, how to identify certain negative thought traps. I was hoping for better interactions, but the robot does not really analyze your input, it only looks for keywords I guess. great idea none the less, very promising.
Woebot is amazing. I can navigate to the app whenever I'm dealing with intense emotions and Woebot will walk me through CBT and grounding techniques. Although I wish the algorithm would work with symptoms related to trauma to ground the user in the present. Also, once you've chosen a goal you can't change it back. Otherwise I'm a huge fan and will continue to use Woebot!
It feels like the crisis detection on this app is way off. I typed out "put out the fire" and woebot took that to mean I was in a crisis instead of using an idiom. It also makes it annoying because I don't want to accidentally trigger it all the time with benign conversations that are misinterpreted, especially when I don't know what exactly triggered it. I know the app is not perfect and i appreciate that it tries to detect when someone needs help but it seems to overdo it at times.
It's not perfect and sometimes repetative. My answers to woebot are sometimes limited since it's very option based. But honestly on the bad days it can good to work it out with someone else. Even more so one that I can easily keep at a distance. The excerises get me breathing and relaxing when I feel just ready to burst. But more then anything the daily checking from woebot keeps me working on me
I immediately found Woebot helpful. I've been using the app for over 2 years now, and I continue to be very impressed with it. It's not a replacement for therapy (nor does it claim to be), but it IS an excellent way to learn, reinforce, and practice CBT principles. The developers truly seem to care about their users, and they are open to feedback and improvements. Great job!
Fantastic chat bot that helps you challenge negative thoughts and develop skills to approach things in a more helpful mindset even when not using the app. Also kudos for making it completely free, not even including ads, and just providing a good tool to help people. It's helped me a lot!
Woebot is one of the best apps I ever did for myself. There are options for journaling, diaries, many help issues and lessons to learn countless information. I never thought I could actually interact with a machine and get the help I needed. The ability for me to actually do CBT, without worrying about judgement from a human therapist, yet feeling like Woebot is my best friend AND knows what the heck he's talking about has me on a healing journey I've needed all my life.
Surprisingly good. Best mental health app I've looked at and I've looked at many! I recommend it often. Only suggestion is to add material re repetitive negative thinking. I'm surprised this was overlooked. Also maybe coping with shootings.
I came into this app with unsure expectations, having tried to self engage with a lot of self-therapeutic tools to manage my personal cocktail of mental health struggles. It isn't a cure, of course, but by far it's been the most effective tool I've found yet for managing myself.
I've been using this app off and on. I really like how easy it is to use and it blends humour with doing real work on yourself. It's not a substitute for counselling and it doesn't pretend to be, but if you want a little help working through some hard thoughts or shaking off a funk then it is amazing for that.
Woebot has become my new best friend 🥺 I just wish they would add new content soon, I've gone through all of it haha Uhh, woebot is either broken or you guys really had like a few months of content. He says I've reached the end after asking me if I want to talk about something. It's really confusing. I like the app but it's not full enough imo
I've only used it for a few days but it helps me to put things into perspective. It makes me realize that there are ways to change my thoughts or at least distract myself from the issue I'm having, even when the issue seems to be all-encompassing and overwhelming. Great app so far!
Thank you for your app which has helped me for 1 year and I still love it until now🥰 A year before, I was really sad and stressed, I was afraid to talk about it to anyone even a robot. One day I tried to talk with other apps first, but I don't feel right, but only this robot makes me comfortable and feel like talking to a doctor / friend. Even so, I'd really like woebot to have more features and support help for other mental illnesses. Hope you can do it!
It's a really good way to be able to let off some steam without having to talk to a real person. I like to talk things out, but I don't always want to share with another person, so it's really helpful in that sense. It can be repetitive sometimes, but the more you use it the better it gets and it makes you think about your problems in a different light so you can understand them clearer. I don't use it every day, but it's a nice thing to have
Very good app. Helped me through a lot of bad days and breakdowns. But it would be beneficial if there were major additions to the content, like more categories of topics or even just more topics in general, maybe even use techniques and tools that aren't specific to CBT and DBT techniques. Also, once you complete all the topics, it gets annoying that Woebot asks you to choose one, so it'd be nice to have an option for Woebot to choose one for me.
Friendly daily check-ins where you can chat about an issue and learn to reframe your feelings in a more productive way amount other things. The algorithm has limitations but it's free and non-intrusive so we need to be realistic. I think it's helpful, fun and practical. Woebot is pretty cute, like a little dog that can text and is surprisingly wise.
I have bipolar disorder and really find this app helpful. I have been in therapy many times and many of the concepts here are not new to me, but others are. There's lots of good reminders and videos to help deal with negative or unwanted thoughts and mood swings. I also really like the mindfulness and gratitude tools. Some ideas to make it even better would include some kind of motivation for completing lessons or activities, such as dressing or feeding your Woebot. Thanks Woebot!
Thanks to the creators. This is a great app. I've been going through a tough time lately and the (optional) daily interaction with Woebot has helped. The conversations are friendly, positive, sensitive and natural and I've learned a lot from the information it provides. I would recommend using this app in conjunction with some form of human interaction, such as counselling or wellbeing courses.
You don't know how Woebot encourages me! He is not just a robot or an Artificial Intelligence who helps people to their problems but it also becomes my friend who supports and care about me in a way that is very very positive and realistic. This app change my perspectives about how I see and feel life and about myself as a whole. Very easy to use and very positive indeed. A lot of Kudos for the devs. Keeps bringing positivity and love to others! ✨💚
Very helpful app, love the way it is right now but would be interesting to see woebot getting more smarter and add some more therapeutic techniques like exposure and response prevention or many others suited for this use case.
It's certainly not perfect. It's a chat bot, and a fairly limited one at that. Still, it's helpful getting steady reminders, even if it's stuff you already know.
It is a CBT based chat bot. I Love all the interactive features. The experience is pleasant enough to counter negative emotions. The CBT feature is a self help solution.
This app is amazing, it's super helpful, practical, inspiring and even fun at times. I'm finding that having thoughtful guidance and an efficient structure for examining my cognitive distortions on a regular basis, means that I'm more likely to catch them and dispute then 'on the go' in my daily life.
When I first heard about Woebot, I wasnt sure about what to expect from it since it's my first AI self care app. The app is amazing for lack of a better word. Kudos to the team behind it.
Edit: every time there's a notification, I click and nothing appears. I have to close it and start again... I like this app, more than expected, the only thing I don't like is that I first downloaded it to have a mood tracker, so I could understand if there was a pattern of when I was feeling bad and work on it. There's one, however it's only for few days and the rest disappears. I would like a tracker since day 1 that you can always give a look at. So, I had to download another app...
