WOOD TV8

The many updates they've done to this app over the years have been confounding. Each time there was some new annoyance. However, the last few updates went relatively smoothly until the latest update. Now half my articles only show me the first two paragraphs so I can't finish reading them. I've tried everything to correct this including uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works. I prefer woodtv8 for my local news but might have to finally go to a different provider.

I like being able to read the news for the area and the state but now it doesn't work. Only half the article loads. I've tried to find a way of reporting a problem but there really isn't a way to contact them. I've waited for the problem too be fixed as others are complaining also but it's been a month and no fix. Not worth using it now

With this latest update I can't read anything past the title and first paragraph. Everything is just gone. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and nothing has worked. Please update this problem. This was my only favorite local New's source and this is frustrating!!!!

Only 1/2 the story loads when I open them. I've been waiting for an update to fix but there never is one. Please fix so I can see the whole story!

SLUGGISH AND BOGGY. AND NOW IT WON'T LOAD WHEN I OPEN IT!! I preferred it back before it was upgraded to the new version. At least you could move it to the SD card storage to conserve internal storage space. It's sluggish, boggy, not very smooth. Hard on the device processor. And now, the content won't load when you go to open the app. All I get is an error message saying my device doesn't have an internet connection, even if I switch from the LTE cellular network to wifi, and tap RELOAD.

It was a great news app. Since the last update each news article only loads a quarter of the page.

This app needs to date all of the articals. Its super annoying if im not sure that its recent. Id like it if there were a separate app for just school closings, seeing as my smart phone is smart enough to tell me weather and breaking news, but it's too dumb to give me school closures. Yeah I'm talking to you samsung >:( (And I know I said my phone sends news alerts, but it's nice to be able to select the exact article I'm reading. However, I just Google it. That particular suggestion is for my fellow news app users)

The app will stop working after just opening it needs to be fixed it does is all the time and I have a good phone it keeps saying the app is not responding close app wait or report well I'm giving it a bad review until you guys fix this app I am not using anymore I'll stick with Fox 17s

This app won't open on my Samsung tablet. It says that I'm not connected to the internet - when I am. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it still won't load.

Please fix.the issue with the app not loading the entire story. Maybe it has trouble loading it because of all the ads?

You get 4 news stories to read. Tap on one story and you get 5 news stories and 3 ads. If you want more, you have to search for it. Tap on weather, you get a partial paragraph and ads. Have to tap "read more" to see the rest and start searching tabs for any details. Rediculous app. Hey TV8 - look at Fox17's app, they've got it going on - open app, read news, what a simple concept!

recently started seeing "sponsored content" every 3rd or 4th article. used to absolutely love the app and didn't mind the ads at the bottom of every story. now with all the "sponsored content" this app just seems like a money grab. it's not news. it's companies paying for ad space. if it was news, every 3rd or 4th "story" wouldn't be about the same exact thing with a different picture. get rid of them for a five star review from me.

This was my favorite weather app; now it is dismal. Interface is poor and layout is cluttered. I cannot imagine someone thought this was an improvement over the prior version. Time for a new weather app.

loads slow way way too many ads. can't believe someone at channel 8 has not come out with a simple and easy-to-use app. This thing is loaded with so many ads I thought I was at an advertising conventions.

Can't get the station to come in.... The station is always buffering.... I have not been able to see one news program..... I have not been able to see one show.... I enjoy WOOD TV8 but I cannot get it on my computer or tablet or phone with that being said I'm going to delete the app

Horrible, you would think with all the low ratings they could fix it so you could read the whole article.

Not liking the new map for weather radar. Can't see what's coming across the lake, only what's currently over land. Also too much clutter with all the roads and county boundaries.

Works good. Startup was slow into main page. Works good now.

I use this app to get my daily news. Many instances of not opening the news articles or the app stops working. I have to close the app and reopen.

Very disappointing. Terrible UI. Not intuitive like previous. Clueless what was objective here. I want the previous version back!! Need option 2 roll back "updates"..//

Extremely frustrating that loud video ads automatically start up; Even when my audio is turned off- this app hijacks my system & loud blaring ad takes over; Don't see way to disable. Will remove this app for this reason.

It seems as tho the last upgrade has rattled the app with start up failures.

Caught in a loop where it tells me I have to update my app but it takes me to Google play store where it still points to the old app. Even completely uninstalled and it still tells me that it is the old app. Stuck and can no longer see the weather :-(

Fix the damn app. This app has gone from bad to worse. Extremely slow to load. Multiple restarts while trying to read article.

News videos play automatically, no option to stop this, very annoying. Not worth the space it takes on your phone.

We live in West Michigan and only trusting the most accurate news, and the most accurate and helpful news in West Michigan or anywhere else is News 8 Crew which goes on and above to report the most accurate news around! This app constantly locks up and shuts down on two different tablets and my phone. Also, there are too many ads.
