Woodland Alarm Clock (Beta)

Update. Keeps turning off my day alarm after hitting wake. Mon 4am now not active. I was wondering why days were unsetting themselves. Each day does it. Send email message but it doesnt give destination on auto feedback. Orginal. Great alarm. But no way to pause alarm for the day without having to turn that day off completely for upcoming alarms. Has fade in volume so starts soft and wont scare you. You set volume start and final volume level. Loon is my pick. No days off scheduled either.

It is really great if you don't mind annoying, ugly ads popping up non-stop while you're trying to look at a beautiful photo of mother nature. And be careful not to accidentally tap on the ad -- it'll be much worse. With any app, but particularly one like this, you would think there would be a paid version so you don't have to deal with the non-stop horrible ads, but I haven't been able to find one, so I'll uninstall. An app that would get an A+, goes to an F-.

I was really excited about this idea because I love birds & nature & I have problems with waking up, but the bird sound hardly fades-in at all even though it's set to 30 seconds, & it becomes too loud very quickly even though I turned down the Default Maximum Volume (that made no difference). I tried to contact the creator but both ways for contacting him didn't work. I just got a pop-up that said "Copy" with nothing to copy & no way to write or send a message. Would love to have it fixed! 🙂

Pros, Love the birds, great sound. Cons, The operation to turn off the alarm requires two button pushes, in two different areas. Basically, it 'asks' you if you want to wake up, only then can you turn off the alarm. The snooze is even worse. The controls are totally ludicrous, especially in the early morning. All it needs is a single button tap to turn off the alarm, or snooze. Get that and I would give it 5 stars.

I love the alarm, but it has stopped letting me use the snooze option. The button simply doesn't respond. And weirdly, the alarm has started interfering with or blocking the sound; I have had the app for 2 days, and both days, after the alarm went off, I no longer got any sound through earbuds. I have to restart the phone. Going to have to delete it, sadly.

I do really like this app. The thing I really wish it had is a slider to turn it off instead of having to press two buttons. I hate having to fumble around to find where the buttons are instead of a simple swipe in one direction or the other for snooze or wake. Still a nice app. Update: thanks for the one button dismiss! Still hoping for a slider too! :)

I absolutely love this app! It is very simple to set up with the opportunity to choose which bird song you wish to waken to. The surprise comes the first time you set the alarm: first the screen lights up and a photo of a woodland scene slowly emerges, followed by the bird song of your choice. It is magical and a lovely peaceful way to wake up; I have been setting the alarm even when I don't need to just for the pleasure. All the usual features are also there. Thank you so much.

It used to work like a charm, and all the sounds were so nice to wake up to! But then out of the blue it stopped working, and only when I opened the app and waited a few seconds would it start ringing. This got me late for work - twice 😑 I tried it again on my new phone, and after a week it stopped working too. I woke up with my wrist watch vibrating instead! The vibration is a terrible wake up sound - I wanted the soothing bird chirping...

I've been using this alarm for years and it perfectly fits my needs. I love the option to fade in the sound of the alarm over five minutes, so I always feel like I'm waking up naturally. Only downside is that every time there's a real cardinal flying by now, I immediately reach out to my phone to press snooze... Wouldn't mind a payed version to get rid of the ads, I'd definitely buy it.

Seems now that if you miss turning off the alarms, it breaks them and they become unreliable. I'm going to delete and re-download to see if they work again, but if it happens again, I'll have to find another app. My phone is always 100% charged when I use these alarms in the mornings, so battery saver has no effect on it, as it isn't on at that time.

This is the rare app that delivers as advertised. No CPU problems, no scam adware, and the UI is intuitive and attractive. As for the sounds available, there is a wide array of birds, elk, geese, loons, and even a waterfall. This app is also very handy if want to learn to identify animals by their sound. Well done. A future update might offer additional ambient woodland ot weather sounds, the ability to select and mix the additional sounds for background noise for sleep or mediation.

Absolutely gorgeous and lovely these real nature sounds here: birds, streams, tree rustling... Just one downside: only 9 out of 10 times the alarm goes off; so sometimes it just doesn't make any sounds at the set time (maybe a problem of my device? I don't know), even though the phone has sufficient battery charge - so I always put another alarm clock on 10min later! I recommend setting another alarm to be safe. Anyway, a lovely and almost natural feel to wake up with nature:)

I love this app, BUT... The latest update broke it completely and caused it to not make any sound. I had to clear app cache, uninstall / reinstall and reboot my phone to get it working again. I also despise the new 2nd step confirmation to dismiss an alarm. It's tiny and difficult to discern when disoriented from sleep and not wearing glasses. I don't know why it was necessary to mess with perfection? Updating again now that I know you'd seen the info above. I love the app, it's great and I rely on it fully (obviously). Thank you very much for the prompt response and tip about disabling the 2nd confirmation message!

Love it! I truly wake to this thinking nature is calling me awake and it takes me a minute to realize it's my alarm! It's dependable! It starts low and slowly gets louder and it doesn't jolt me awake (except for the blue Jays! They need to fly south!). The pictures are nice but I don't need them and the ads are tiny. There are no annoying notifications. Thank you for a great app. I've been using it for a while.

This alarm makes absolutely beautiful music!, but it's not possible to turn the volume up enough to actually wake a person up - thus, disappointingly, it's useless as an alarm clock. The gorgeous bird songs are not enough. Having slept through it 2 days in a row I had to go back to my non-melodious, but tried & true, alarm. Sadly I have to delete this alarm clock. 😒

This app is great. I easily get stressed in the morning before I downloaded the bird songs alarm. Since I have had this app for about a year, I have noticed that the random option is not so nice. As of late I have awaken startled because of either canadian geese, elk, loon, blue jay or rooster. So the only thing Id like to see for the app is to deselect certain tones for the random option. Other then that, I still like this app.

When I had this app installed on my Galaxy S7 Edge, it worked flawlessly. Since I've updated to the S10, not so much. The alarm doesn't work the same way and whenever the phone updates (which is a lot) the alarm will not go off in the morning following an update. Needless to say, that isn't very convenient. Sadly, I will be uninstalling it.

I love this alarm. It's a very peaceful way to wake up. It is simple, intuitive, and perfect. The increasing volume is helpful and I appreciate that additional vibration can be turned on or off. The pictures are beautiful and the selection of bird song and aditional sounds is fantastic. The advertising is unobtrusive.

Great birds songs but the app EDIT: might make buttons more user friendly. On / Off toggle buttons confusing. To Dismiss an alarm, you first have to click Wake, then Dismiss. Wish : if the beautiful bird song could stay at the same volume level a bit longer it would be much better. The volume increases too quickly by increments. All in all much better than most alarms out there.

I set the alarm for a specific bird sound and all I got was music and various bird sounds in the background. The sound volume was all over the place. It went from quiet to very loud and back to quiet again in a few seconds. When I clicked on the Snooze button, the sound would not turn off. I clicked it multiple times and the sound still would not shut off. I finally had to turn off my phone to get the alarm to stop. I really wanted to like this alarm but I guess I will have to look elsewhere.

Sometimes it doesn't work. It has a setting for what days you want it to go off. Those are "green". It has a floppy disc icon that you click on and it says "alarm set for 28 minutes" (or something like that to show how much time will pass before it goes off). It has another save button to click on the bottom. All of them can be clicked and it still won't go off. I had to uninstall. Make it easier to use and so that it actually works. Lovely bird sounds and images though...

I LOVE this alarm! This is seriously the best alarm I've ever had. It is so peaceful. All the sounds are real and natural. I always use the random alarm setting, which is GENIUS, so my subconscious never gets used to hearing the same sounds every morning, and so it never learns to hate that sound! I love love LOVE it! Thank you so much! It's EXACTLY what I was looking for. How you wake up is so important, so I really can't reiterate enough how much this one simple app has really improved my life! ❤️🌞❤️

Nice to have better quality of bird songs (sounds) you can hear it as if someone simply took there phone outside and hit record. But after some time with it this app, it has really grown on me, loving it now! Honestly the quality of audio is fine, would truly like to see iPhone version and a timer function. Thanks for the great sounds to wake up too!

AWESOME APP! This is simply the best alarm clock app for anyone who loves nature and has issues waking up in the morning. There are a variety of birdsongs to choose from as well as water noises such as rain or waterfalls. You can program multiple alarms with different levels of "intrusion" for you to gradually wake yourself up in a very pleasant manner. Full 5 stars and more from me for doing this AND for doing it without it being a major bloat app in size! WELL DONE INDEED!

It worked for a week or so then stopped. I got a warning of some sort from the app itself saying it has something to do with my battery. Idk but I truly loved this alarm the loon was probably my favorite. I wish it would have worked out. But unfortunately it keeps stopping and not working so I'll have to uninstall if it stops again. I'm determined for it to work though! lol
