Word Blitz: Free Word Game & Challenge

The game is nothing like what is shown in the ads for it. The dictionary is extremely limited and doesn't recognize the pluralized forms of many words. And there are far too many ads. There is an ad when the game is first opened before you even get a chance to play any levels and there are ads and slow unskippable animations between every level. During the timed daily word searches there will be a 'present' (another ad, although at least this one will reward you with a hint) that floats across the screen, obscuring the game and wasting time.

Excellent choice of words to challenge one's vocabulary skills. The crossword spelling is adult-like so as to make for good & attention getting incentive. Very addicting. Want to keep coming back -- more than I should. I would give 5+, but as are a draw back. I do understand the necessity for ads. So, because the app is wonderfully designed, I will keep on playing!

Immediately bombarded with full page ads covering the entire screen, which interfere with the game. You have to close the ads before you can proceed. And the developers of this app thinks everyone is stupid, forcing you to go through their examples through every screen, their "hints" and so forth that you cannot turn off. This game is a huge waste of time and one of the WORST games I have ever used.

I really like the game with the exception of one thing. Ever since they added the league, my trophy score is declining even though I win more games than I lose. While I like to play it and league gives me more opportunities to play, the way the trophies change hands is unfair. Being that I have about 2000 "trophies", I lose 9 if I lose to someone who has way less than me. Then, I can still only win back ONE at a time from players because very few have trophy numbers as high as mine. It should be that you win or lose ONE no matter how many you have accrued. If I play more often, then that's MY reward. I am actually going down in score now because of this. It's always 3 steps forward and 9 steps back. It's starting to make me mad every time I play. Change the trophy scoring, Word Blitz, and make it fair across the board or people like me will quit playing. :(

It's fun to play. I originally downloaded it thinking it was Facebook's Wordblitz which I like better just because it's a competitive game against friends. I also downloaded wordscapes at the same time and have been playing both together and while doing so I noticed that the same letters pop-up on each puzzle and it's been that way for every level. The background is the only difference really.

There are so many ads! And it lags so you have to swipe the letters very carefully in order to keep the streak going. I downloaded it from an ad on a different game and it made it look like a totally different word game! It's just like all my other word games only with more ads and busy, cluttered backgrounds. Would not recommend!

It's a good game but the ads from this app completely interferes with the ability to use my phone. Since I've downloaded this game it shows up on my lock screen and I have to get rid of ads before I can use my phone and it has caused me to miss phone calls because the ad pops up preventing any ability to answer my phone calls. The game works well. But not worth it if I can't use my phone! I recommend not installing if you want to use your phone.

Entirely too many ads. The app is loading, there's an ad. You're in the middle of playing a game, there's an ad. Watching an ad to gain items? THERE'S AN AD! I understand you need them to make money but that is just ridiculous. On top of the fact you'll make at least 40 bonus words that won't be on there, or you create a word that's a bonus word then you have to swipe again in order to add it to the board. Not satisfied and the money is not easily won.

The Game is ok, but I'm uninstalling after 1 day. I'm quite used to playing games with ads, but this is ridiculous!! I'm not waiting 90 seconds staring at a mobile billboard. I've now completely lost interest. An ad at launch, after completion of each level and in between games is ENTIRELY too much. Get the player hooked before making gameplay completely dependent on ads. I spent more time watching ads about other, irrelevant to my interests, games than actually playing this one. Shame.

It is fun and a great game but it's constantly saying network error when I try and do the cash out even tho I am connected. It seemed like a great game to play but maybe you shouldn't trick people into thinking they can win cash when you don't or keep getting errors. I will be uninstalling this game and stop playing it. It seems like a scam to me due to it.

I did not have a pleasant experience. There were a lot of words that cannot be spelled, especially plural words. In the daily challenge of this game, the player has to spell as many words within a limited time. However, with the numerous unidentified words, I was unable to do my best in the daily challenge. Furthermore, in the daily challenge where the tiles are still bouncing from (who knows what), the timer is still counting down which leads to a very bad user experience.

Enjoying the game for the most part.... It is challenging. The only problem I found so far is when I hit a certain level and I get a pile of money and magically everytime I get it it says it's trying to connect. This has happened 4 times now. There shouldn't be any problems connecting because when I exit out where it claims it's connecting ( let it try to connect for 5 mins) I suddenly get the ads with no problems. My connection is strong. It's shady to me... not cool

First of all this isn't even anything like the game that's advertised. Its basically the same as word scape except this is loaded with advertisements. You open the game and you can't even start playing until you watch at least 2 ads. Then there are several more in between the games and if that's not bad enough you can't quit without watching an ad. Its ridiculous. Bye bye. Delete.

Very basic game with slow, somewhat unresponsive controls. I often found myself having to attempt to enter the same word many times because of how long the animation took before I could enter another word. It also does not accept many simple words of comparable vocabulary level to words that are accepted as bonus words. For example, one level accepted "lode" as a bonus word, but would not accept "vole".

Too many ads. I spent more time watching ads then playing. Also this was not what was advertised at all. Completely different. This is a crossword game. Not a spelling game. And there is no funny pictures with people to save. Just a car that goes forward when you complete a level.

Ads before playing. Then subscription options. I was not prepared to agree to a 3 day trial period in case I forgot to cancel it and would fall foul of the weekly or monthly subscription by default. There are many similar word games available for free why would you agree to pay £12.99 a month??? Make money off the ads like most other games do. Uninstalled instantly waste of time.

I have to give this app a 2¡. And it's unfortunate too. Because I was really diggin' it, compared to other games. The videos are super short.(in comparison). But then, right after my heart leaped with joy... because I had gotten 3 green $ stacks in a row on the Lucky Spin..scratch off deal. And THEN "Network Error. Retry." Popped up! Tho I had NOT lost connection! And THEN just as quickly "We're sorry but this..... is no longer available. It flashe so fast I cldnt catch it all. THATS BS!

I just started playing. I love word games but, when you tell new I can win cash or rewards, I expect that. The app shows you winning cash per word, which it does not do. Then the wheel you are supposed to get to win the cash or rewards just spins. It never connects to it. It just says connecting and just spins. The first time, I went okay. The second time, there's something wrong with the app. Please fix and give me my spins.

False advertising and forced settings. Game looks nothing like the ad for it. Also, the news pops up as soon as I unlock my phone and draws over other apps including my alarm. If I could disable this one feature I would keep playing and see if there are other levels that look like the advert.

I like the game but you never receive your lucky spin. It just tries to load. No second chance at receiving it. The words that are accepted and not accepted in each level/puzzle is inconsistent and illogical. It's Frustrating at times. The points you receive are not the same with each puzzle. I wish I knew how the point system works in this game.

Very upset with the knowledge that you claim it's free to download. But it's not free to play. They want a credit card account to play for a free 3 day trial. What instead like the computer games do. You get a timed DEMO. A 3 day demo. You install it. It plays for three days. Wheither or not you play it. Then it deletes itself. If the person likes it then they can have a chance to buy it. Lots of ads, and a balloon comes across your screen every 2 mins, making timed challenges way more difficult than they need to be. Daily challenges don't include a lot of everyday words. When I originally clicked over from an ad, I got a completely different game than what was advertised.

The vocabulary is very limited and arbitrary in wether or not it will take some words; sometimes a word that isn't in the puzzle will be a bonus word and other times it is rejected and breaks my chain. Then the videos suddenly stopped working, so I couldn't get the bonuses and freebies.

Great game, the individual word games are short and sweet. Fun and quick, no wasting of time on excessively long games. Loved playing this game but the more I played it the more I started to hate it, entirely too many ads. Takes the game and fun right out of you. I know it's free but just too many ads to enjoy...

Downloaded the update this morning and now when I click on play it goes to a blank screen level 5 and freezes. Disappointing because I was on level 92. If it doesn't get fixed, I'll delete the app. I already deal with an ad between every level and upon opening.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too many ads. I find it convenient for an option of watching an ad for a hint however sometimes I have to see 2 ads before I can even play a level. It is obnoxious. As well as very repetative ads. I am not 1 to be influenced by ads so I find them truly annoying.

The game keeps freezing up everytime an ad pops up and makes it almost impossible to play. Also when it does this I lose my coins! Have lost 60 so far just tonight!! Please return my coins! Been playing from very beginning and dont know how to collect money and now it reset on me taking me back to start! HELP!!

Would be a great game to kill time if you didn't have to watch a 30 second ad between every single level. Wouldn't even be so bad if you could skip the ads but you literally have to sit and watch the whole thing. So for every 10-15 seconds it takes to complete a level you're watching an ad for twice as long. No thanks
