Word Bust - Bookworm (Infinity)

The best...word game, name has been changed and a few updates took the worm away, but it was what I got on an update of bookworm. I do like the running score. But when I updated my phone they took my seven letter word goal and replaced it with quinquaquadragintilliardth and I have it on my screen, all but the last letter. 26 letter goal. I lost the complete game and started over at 3 letter words. It was a dirty trick. Still this is my favourite game, the only one I ever purchased.

Initial Review 5 stars Great little casual game that gets more challenging the longer you play. Ads aren't too obtrusive either. UPDATED Review 2 stars New update makes the play field too large and removal of the game music ruins the feel of the game. The change was completely unnecessary. -2 stars from my initial 5 star review. Don't try to fix what isn't broken.

This is the closest that I have seen to a port of PopCap Games’ Bookworm to date. I do not know if there is a word length limit. I attempted to build a 12-letter word, but did not quite get there. Building long words is challenging. I managed to build one of my favorite place names (which the game promptly did not accept very many letters of and did not accept in its entirety, which is 10 letters). But, my favorite name and both its plural and possible adjectival form are accepted.

This is just a no-challenge version of Bookworm with the "burning" letters removed—so the game never ends. What's the point? Spelling practice? (Yawn!) On the plus side, this developer didn't understand how to code the burning letters in his regular version. (Unlike the original game, he has burning letters drop onto the board at random, until you get one that's unplayable; and they drop each time you play a word, instead of at a steady pace, so you can't catch up to them—very frustrating.)

Its so...addicting!!! Constantly charging my phone. Its definitely a challenge . Thank goodness for spelling !!!!

Loved the old version. Not a fan of the changes. Especially of the dictionary changes. Words I use to use aren't available now. I use to play this for hours, now it's minutes.

What have you done?! The update has totally ruined a brilliant game. I loved the original Bookworm and this was a pretty good alternative but not now. I will have to search for a replacement now. Very disappointed.

I absolutely love this game, loving the challenges of coming up with old words, to discovering new ones.

Excellent app, very interesting, finding new words, adding scores and highly appreciable and encouraging superb app. Everybody should have this app.

I love the game.But as soon as I get going the game starts to get frozen. And you have to stop playing. I have reloaded it 3 times.

Since the last update, must click each ad multiple times in order to continue ... "continue" click click click click - game finally resumes. Popup keeps repeating. Also, on tablet zooms so large on screen, I cannot view bar on bottom that shows word I type to drop letters. Game has no settings to allow view. When playing on phone, I can see cumulative score on top, then word to find, grid, and word-typed view bar appears above submit button.

When you tap letters it doesn't accept. It freezes and you can't even back out!

Great game but no end if you know how to play. Had over 2 million points and still going. Prefer more of a challenge-with others such as a leader board or lose and try to get even more points each time. Too many ads with restarts of game necessary.

Been playing this for a few weeks. Had intended giving 4 stars. BUT have just started getting LOUD ads SUDDENLY (no option to mute sound) that can't be cancelled. And they last at least 10 seconds. If this keeps happening I'll uninstall. Prior to this, ads were easy to deal with. What happened?

Great game but it has waaay too many ads that take too long to get rid of. When will they understand that forcing someone to watch an ad that they have no interest in is not a good idea? I don't mind ads but if I'm not interested in the product I want to be able to immediately zap it away. Also another quick way to get me to uninstall a game is showing me the same ad over and over and over. Nope, sorry. Bye.

What happened to my favorite game?? It has changed since the update! Please bring back the fire tiles, and the green and yellow tiles! Also, there is no challenge to the game. There is no possibility of losing. I will rate 5 stars if you bring back the old game play.

Had rated this 5 stars but after the update, the sudden influx of intrusive ads and random gameplay changes that made this more different than Bookworm made me knock it down a few. Still a decent game but not what I originally downloaded it for. Will probably reinstall if the gameplay returns.

It looks like a fun game but it won't let me do anything past the first word where it points out that I need to swipe the letters w.o r d to spell word can't play it at all

😀 Vowels add up quickly @ bottom. So, challenging to find words, sum x's. No intrusive ads. Making it much more enjoyable. Not same as Book Worm. But close. Our understanding is; Book Worm is obsoleted. 🙁. Thanks 4 this Fun game. We share playing alone & together. 💞

Not a bad recreation of Bookworm. Would rate higher if it weren't for the full screen popup ads that keep going off every time you load something.

Pretty good rip off of bookworm. Couldn't find the original so this will do. Had a bunch of adds in the beginning but they've stopped now. Not sure if that's a glitch or what, but it's in my favour, so......

Enjoyable. Challenging. Relaxing. Nice upgrades and works well.

I have enjoyed playing. I love word games and bookworm was one of my faves. This is similar. I would like for it to be a bit more challenging. It is relaxing as is but just a bit more...maybe. I will keep this one for awhile☺

I was so frustrated yesterday (Friday the 13th). There were ads at every step of play. Today they are gone. Was it a Fri 13th prank? Not too funny, nightmare trying to play. Great game. Am at 72,659,000 level. Challenges my post stroke brain. I am at 4-word bonuses.

Pretty good. Just one question....I am at level 342, so when do I graduate to 4 or more letter words? The repeated words is getting boring. Level 450 now. Still only 3 letter words. 😒😒 Level 741 still 3 letter words. No challenges. Knocked it down to 2 stars.

I liked the old version better. I cannot see the smaller words so I will have to disconnect soon. I really loved this game I had almost 1 billion points.

ADS and ADS .. oh.. and some more ADS... With a side helping of ....... ADS!!!! Yay.. And after a while... The X button to close them gets smaller! I hope your children never learn what you do.

I found the way to get rid of the ads. Turn the WiFi off. That's as simple as that. This game has nothing to monetize for anyway, it is quite literally nothing lost if you turn off the wifi.
