Word Crossy - A crossword game

Great game, free to play. Tons of ads though, but you can get rid of them if you're willing to pay for it. My only complaint, to be honest, is the same I have with other word related games. You seriously need to broaden your dictionary and don't limit it. For example, I find it ridiculous that I was only able to start using "blog" when I got into level 500+. I am also not fond of some words working on some levels, but not on others. I love that on some levels you can't use 3 lettered words.

Keeps taking me back to a level I have already played. Once I pass it, then it lets me go to the next level... Also when it takes me back, it is to a game already started; like someone was playing there before me🤔🤔3 Says updated with new levels as of Mar.3 my game just says coming soon no new levels showing Still no new levels showing March 15i..April 2,still not showing any new levels

I got a new phone and all progress was lost. I was on level 8258 on my old phone and had 29487 credits. On the new phone I have to start at level one with no credits. I don't want to go through the easy, lower levels again. There should by a way to retain progress when moving to a new device.

It begins as basic, easy fun, BUT after you get past the first 12 levels and try to go into the 2nd round, the entire game freezes and then the app suddenly closes on its own, even after you update. I will likely remove this app.

Fun game, for sure... but after reaching a certain level or number of points, players are "throttled" and denied promised awards for accumulating bonus words or completing a series of themed levels. After completing almost 8,000 levels by now, I've been "throttled" out of literally thousands of points. Too bad!

An ad after EVERY SINGLE level. That's an ad per minute or two. Come on Betta, that's ridiculous. Give us at least 3 or 4 levels between ads.

Not very happy with the lack of migration to a new phone, was on level 4000 something and now I'm having to start over. I'm even looking for a replacement game, after all if I have to start over I may as well really start over.

I've had this for 5 mins. THE APP LAG IS SOOOO BAD THAT I'M ONLY ON LEVEL 7!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? My gawd, this game is child's play and I was looking for something to fire my brain up at 0530hrs. Please, fix this. Google, stop adding apps that do not work!

I had to restart this game because the word crossy company did not get ahold of me to tell me how to save my progress onto a new phone and I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on this app I'm very upset

It's very creative! Their is a pot of thinking you have to put towards the game. But in the end, it's worth it! Because your mind gets stronger.

I really like this game, I enjoy doing crossword puzzles. Ànd word crossy really makes it fun to use my ''thinking cap.''

They make up words that are not words. When you look them up through the app, all it says is plural form of....nothing in a dictionary???

30 SECOND ADS, BACK TO BACK, AFTER EVERY LEVEL! MAKES THIS GAME COMPLETELY ENJOYABLE. Most apps are going to 5 second ads now. That is tolerable, and I will watch them. I will not watch 30-second ads over and over again, one after the other. Otherwise, this would be a great game. Uninstalling for that reason.

Too much ads. Playing the game and an add would just pop. Too much!!!

The graphics are great. It's a beautiful game. The game dictionary is pretty expansive, including many words that other similar games won't recognize. I enjoyed that. My issue is with the controls. When connecting letters, it often glitches causing wrong letters to be selected. When you hit a goal and the message pops up to tell you, any letters you have selected will freeze and glitch, breaking any streak you may have going. The letter grouping is also too close together, making it extremely easy to swipe slightly too close to the wrong letter, luckily my stylus solved that problem but I would prefer to not need it. The control issue is frustrating enough that it is the only reason I won't pay for the ad free version. If this were fixed the game would easily be a 5 star game.

This game is a fun way to pass the time. However, I do have 2 small complaints. First, the ad popups are somewhat ridiculous. Even after paying to remove them it still tries to gets you to spend money after every few puzzles. Second, since around Christmas there's an unnecessary loading screen that wasn't present before. It was originally "Merry Christmas" and is now "Word Crossy". I know what game I'm playing, I don't need to be reminded every time I start or finish a level.

1. Too many ads. you have to play with airplane mode on or it will annoy you. 2. gameplay gets tedious. sfter completing the 5th or 6th section you see the same sets of letters over and over again. 3. many words are missing or not in the puzzle and not recognized by the game. overall, its a solid game but a bit lazy. i miss the original text twist, no one has ever come close to it.

Entirely too many ads. In addition to the ads that are constantly scrolling at the bottom of the page (I have no problem with those at all), every time you finish a puzzle there is an ad. Seriously EVERY TIME. I would have really liked playing because the music was calming and the backgrounds were beautiful, but there are many other games out there that are exactly like this one with much fewer ads.

Every time an ad tries to play the game shuts off and reboots. I can't even open any of the butterfly gifts and I've passed a few of them. I do like the game but come on...Fix this issue! I'm not sure how a screenshot of the initial loading screen will help you fix the issue here and I'm being as specific as I can. When an ad tries to play between the levels, the game shuts off and reboots, EVERY TIME. I'm sorry if that's not helpful enough for you, but that's what I have.

Not a bad word game to pass the time. I enjoy it. Lots of ads and the butterfly mini game feels really random. In later levels you'll get boards that seem impassable because you'll memorize the whole board and fill it everytime, but for whatever reason you won't score enough butterflies before filling the whole board and therefore fail. Feels like that side of the game wasn't well thought out. Overall not bad. Worth playing.

I really enjoy Crossy Word. The different games are sufficiently challenging enough to keep up my interest and not impossible to win. I bought the game so have no issues with the ads. Finally, I have experienced very few glitches. Bottom line, it is a fun game and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys word games and who are willing to put out the few bucks to buy it to avoid the [expletive deleted] ads.

Loved this game to begin with! Recommended it to 2 family members. Now, there are way too many ads and paying $4.99 per WEEK or something like that, to be ad free is quite ridiculous. I could consider $4.99 per month, but not a week. Also, when you chose the button that gives you the first letter of each word, I think it should pop up for you to confirm it. The same way it does when you select the exact letter you want shown. I have clicked on that, meaning to click the one to shuffle them around so many times. It's very annoying. Otherwise, great game!

I absolutely love this game. It's easy to understand the concept. The ads are not horrendously aggravating, as in there isn't one after every single level. The one thing I believe should be fixed: when you're on a streak for not missing any words, and you manage to get your "bonus" word task filled, while you're in the middle of another words, and it asks you to claim your coins, you end up losing your streak and start over.

3 stars because the game itself is fun. Minus two stars because the tutorials are unnecessarily long (seriously, the game isn't complicated enough to warrant that song and dance), because sometimes when you try and do the "watch an ad for double coins" activity it doesn't load right, and because it keeps giving me pop ups for free gifts when I'm not playing but when I tap the banner to claim it, if doesn't give them to me. I just load into the game naturally. Lots of glitching. Please get it together.

The basic game and mechanics are all right. It's reasonably fun to play. All the different little side games are fun as well. But... An ad at every screen change is annoying. And even though I have notifications turned off, I get them. Horribly annoying. In fact, if that doesn't stop, I'll be uninstalling the game.

Game is pretty good, although I haven't heard of some words, and others are not in the puzzle and I'm not given credit. Lots of glitches. Many times I log out of the game. Very slow to load, and repetitive videos, sometimes I get the points, sometimes I don't! Game, when it works, is good, challenging even.

I really enjoy playing this game. But there are a few serious problems with poor coding. It eats battery life terribly. And the ads override phone settings. For example, even with phone volume fully muted, the ads unmute the audio and play as loudly as ever. Also, if I am listening to music while playing this game and an ad comes on, Word Crossy actually stops the music in favour of the ad's sound, and does not start it again when the ad is done. It should not be permitted to mess with other apps including the music player.

Was great before latest update. New levels - awesome! Looks like some new effects too - nice! But it seems as if the optimized user experience has negatively impacted the letter selection. It often misses that I've swiped over a letter so the word is incorrect. I have to go so slow now with word spelling that it's not fun anymore. It was effortless to spell words and now it just feels like work. Sad. It was a really fun game before. Please fix!

I used to love this game, but ads are too intrusive now. Even with the sound off, the ads blast loudly, making it unsuitable to play in waiting rooms, or any other time when you want to entertain yourself quietly without disturbing others. Also, the ads are long and drawn out. Instead of just closing them, you have to click as many as three different screens to close, waiting a few seconds each time before you can click. The ad can take longer than a round! Ads have sucked the fun out of it.
