WordBit Spanish (for English speakers)

It overlaps everything in the phone. It will not allow you to turn app notifications off. This is unworkable and rude. I can't use my phone without wordbit interrupting. It might teach you spanish, but it takes over your phone.

it doesn't show up after I unlock with my fingerprint I allowed the app to run over other apps but it didnt help my phone is redmi note 9 pro

Great way to review vocabulary and learn new words. Unfortunately, it will sometimes present the same word 3 or 4 times in a row, even if you click that you've already learnt it.

Great app to learn. But. Persistent app on lock screen and notification on of every day force me to uninstall app. I don't get it. You have great product and you persist with on these annoying thing.

More useful than I thought it'd be. As odd as it sounds, you want it on the 'annoying' alway on setting, so it's hard to ignore it when turning on your phone. It really forces you, subconsciously or otherwise to read it. And even when you think you're ignoring it, you really aren't. It really gets in your head. My only complaint would be I wish there was a way to categorize/sort/customize your bookmarked words. Like so you can practice weaker areas like verbs, conjunctions, etc.

Great idea! Improve your Spanish every time you open your phone! 🤩 It really works! Even though I'm an intermediate Spanish speaker, I started at the beginner words and it's reminded me of words I rarely use or learned in Spanish classes. It shows the complete conjugations for verbs and you can make favorite words. One of the best apps ever!!! 💝 Now I would love an ad free version! (The ads are very small and at the very bottom so it doesn't really affect you.) ¡Muchísimas gracias!

I absolutely love this app. Yes, it annoys me when it's there every time I turn on the phone, but it'sa a good thing for me. I love that you can access the full conjugation page of the verbs. I also like seeing how it's used in sentences. I take the point of another user saying it"s difficult to answer the calls, perhaps you could tell it to take a back seat when there is a call like you do for an alarm. Otherwise don't mess with the app it's great!

This is a fair app. It did exactly what it stated that it would. I'm a very busy person and I answer my phone multiple times a day. So when I heard about this app I thought maybe it will help me. What I don't like about the app is I cannot control when the word bit will pop up. If I set my personal phone screen to go off in 2 minutes I am turning off the word but two times before the two minutes. There has been many times I have been in an emergency situation and this bit will pop up 5x.

i like the fact that i can learn new words with the app but dont want the app to show up every time i unlock my screen. checked the settings and couldn't find how to disable this functionality . i will unistall if the current behavior is an app feature. also don't like the fact that i can't use the back button to go back to the previous app i was using. i have to go back to the home screen to exit the app. anything i can do to avoid this? these 2 issues are very disruptive and annoying.

Great idea in theory, but the app is *way* too slow for me. I can't be waiting 3 to 4 seconds each time I want to unlock my phone for the app to load, then have to still slide on the app to dismiss it. Yes, my phone is very slow in general, so maybe when I get a new phone I'll try it again, but even if it was lightning fast I think it would still be too annoying to be having to engage with the app every time I need to use my phone quickly for something.

The time on the "lock screen" of this app does not update itself to the correct time on occasion. Unfortunately, I've been late for work due to this glitch. This should be fixed ASAP! Also, sometimes the screen pops up even after it's been dismissed or even after it has been turned off for the rest of the day. Clearly, more refinements are needed.

it's good and all but what can I do for the app to not appear on my lockscreen it's frustrating and disturbing

I love the concept, to help you guys at wordbit out, I implore you to make the activation time between lockscreen popups option reliable. When you have to do some quick things like have your shopping list ready and pay (daily occurences) it gets annoying to go through the spiel every single unlock with the default setting. I tried setting it to a generous 10 minutes between each time the screen was unlocked, helps alot, but it AUTOMATICALLY KEEPS REVERTING TO 'ALWAYS'!!

This app is fantastic! It has customizable themes so it doesnt blind you the second you open your phone and the ads are neat and out of the way. I love the different study options and how it pretty much forces me to read spanish unlike duolingo and its much faster paced (but also easy to push out of the way if I need to do something asap). This thing will definitely help me keep my spanish sharp!

Good at first but slowly fades into frustrating. The problem is that you cannot limit how often you see this app, and it shows every single time your phone switches on, comes out of power saving or even after screen off. And there is no way to switch it off, it is all or nothing, so for me it has to be nothing.

I'm really delighted with this app. It really makes me wanna learn as the content is presented in interesting and often funny way. The example sentences are very practical to be used in everyday life. It's easy to customize the form of learning to your needs. I love the idea of popping it up every time I touch my phone. I feel like my mind is nicely stimulated this way.

🤦🏿‍♂️ This app gives the wrong translations far too much. Example: Charla is translated as knitting? The Spanish for skateboarding, was given as the word for tattoos... 🤦🏿‍♂️ Good thing I have help or I'd be learning many of the wrong words. I will uninstall the app now... 🤷🏿‍♂️

this is a great app to learn a language. i was reading through reviews and the problem people are facing is closing the app. there is an arrow in the top left corner pointing downwards, tap it and the app will close and open up the lock screen, after you unlock your phone, the app will open again but you can easily close that by pushing the home button since the phone is unlocked, it will work normally.

I think it's a great idea and found it to be a very innovative approach to learning different languages and loved the fact that you didn't have to pay to change the background. But my problem is that you made it very difficult to turn off the lock screen function, and thought it was redundant to affect alarms for the device. As much as I want to use this app, I can't because of the multiple alarms I have and lock screen I don't want ruined. Hopefully you can fix these problems in he near future.

I think it is a great idea however there is room for improvement. While sleeping I will repeatedly hear the app activate. In addition there are time when the app interrupts other activities. I understand it activating on my lock screen but it's becoming a hindrance. Otherwise I would have given it a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Sometimes annoying. Always useful. It seems that my phone is sometimes activated by sudden movements and then a voice blurts out a Spanish word. Depending on the setting, this can be surprising! I have to admit however, that my vocabulary has increased with no effort on my part.

Great App. Helps me learn the language at my own pace, for free! Does not interfere with my phone, or my time. Shows a new word and sentance in the language with audio and written translation everytime I unlock the screen. If I am in a hurry and want to skip it, I can just swipe right.

The app give you multiple prompts during the day to practice for a few seconds or more. This helps keep you motivated to learn.

I use this in study mode to improve vocabulary. I just scroll through and read 20 or 30 new words whenever I have a few extra minutes. The example sentences for each word are excellent. This has helped my Spanish more than anything else. I'd gladly pay something as a 'Well done! '

It is not the issue with the app. However,my Lock Screen. You cannot force me to view your app before unlocking my device. It's an extra few seconds to quickly get to my home page and it's worse since the app has no dark mode. Brightens up a cave on the dark. It's enough,I'll uninstall now. Thanks

Love the app, however it has a default anyways on lockscreen and it's super annoying. You can turn it off for a day and it's not even a full day only to midnight. Especially gets irritated in the morning trying to snooze my alarm. Oh they have a button for that too but it's only an hour. Who wants to keep setting the lockscreen EVERYDAY. Sadly I'll have to uninstall. Bummer because it has really good concept in the app. Update to reply: Yes key word temporarily, by that it means daily, annoying
