Good but frustrating at times.
I would rate this five stars as it works wonderfully on gingerbread, but on jelly bean it crashes on exit almost 100% of the time. On 4.4 on the Nexus 5 it is visually a MESS. Too bad it is abandonware and the developer didn't find a new maintainer to take it on when he got tired of it.
I love this game, but whenever I try to back out to the main screen or if I get an incoming phone call, it locks my phone up for about 30 seconds (and i miss the call). It's a great game and in spite of these problems I still play it. Please fix this issue!!! Giving 3 stars due to lock ups, but if they were fixed I'd give it 5 stars.
The best of its type. It looks really fresh and modern on my Nexus 7 with good gameplay. I would, however, like to see a high score table and as noticed by others, too many vowels start appearing after the first few levels
I have tried many word games as they are my favourite game app. This is the best. There is a knack to getting your score up high (mine is 348 points currently). A great game to play. Would be great to be able to pause it or to save incomplete games and to save say your top ten points.
I have installed a number of word apps on my Android phone and iPad, and this is by far the most engaging. Some users may give up too easily, when if you master the game you will be required to earn enough points by developing words, often with virtually either no consonants or no vowels, while racing the two minute clock. The game starts easily enough with a presentation of letters in a grid that resembles a larger digital image of Big Boggle, which I loved as a kid. As you click on various letters in succession to form words, the letters are replaced and points are earned--more for larger words and/or words containing specific bonus point highlighted letter/s. Initially there is a good mix of consonants and vowels and many word combination options but as you advance, the options become more and more slim and you have to employ strategy to keep going and earning more points. I am only disappointed that this app is not available for Apple products as I have not found anything comparable. Most other word apps are limited in functionality and lose my attention almost immediately. Wordoid, by contrast, is completely addictive, tough, and fun. I highly recommend it.
I have had Wordoid for a several months and love it. It's such a great game. I can not image it being boring like some of the review claim. The more you play the longer word you find. The only problem is that there is no up-grade.
I love the game. Unfortunately it crashes a lot. I got in the habit of exiting often so I would only lose a round or two of scores. I'm to the point now I will probably stop playing and maybe even delete it for the frustration. It's supposed to be relaxing... Hope it gets updated and fixed.
This is my favorite game. But I just got a new ZTE Max Duo, and it just gets stuck all the time. The timer works, but everything else seems stuck. I'm frustrated. I miss MY game
Love game; wish there were Los version!!! PLS!!! Sometimes frustrating when board fills with vowels or all consonants.. That is a flaw but try using as many of those vowels.. Some 3 letter words and the board can repopulate with consonants... Ever since I changed to a Nexus device, the game stops and force closes every time. Condidering there have been no updates, I assume it never will
Great game to kill some time. An option to reshuffle the board or fill it with new letters (maybe with a small time penalty) would make this a perfect game. as I once lost because the board filled up with a's.
A good way to kill some time. Simple and addictive. Wish you could swipe from letter to letter, but all in all it works well. Recommended.
Love love this game. But after playing it intensely over several months I've come to realize that I seem to be playing the same 50 words over&over..
This is a great game. The one issue I have with it is that it disproportionately adds vowels as the game progresses. I recently ended up with a board that was all A's, I's and O's except for one J.
I like the game and finding words but there is no time bonus for finishing early. Would like to have this fixed.
JB crashes still not fixed. Slow and laggy. I keep reinstalling hoping that it's fixed, because it's a great game, but uninstall immediately because it's buggy.
Fun twist on a classic word game. Bonus points and changing letters add challenge. Graphics nice, although font could be bolder for easier reading.
Can't recommend simply because the dictionary has so many missing words. Really basic ones, too.
Fun game, but some words are not accurate. Other English words are not even recognized.
I left a five star review two years ago but with no narrative. I simply love this game and have been using it to unwind for two plus years. Very simple but beautiful design and play. It is my go to game.
If you like to drive yourself completely crazy this is the game for you. Without doubt the best thing on my tablet.
But since last update, when I try to access menu in game, the app crashes. Please fix. Samsung Galaxy Nexus, jelly bean.
Had to delete this app because it freezes my phone up for a few minutes after i exit out everytime! Love the look & game but hate the aftereffect
Decent, free game. Not majorly addictive, but I can see myself returning to this regularly. Recommended. Runs well on SGS2.
Really enjoy this game. Wd get 5 stars if kept a record of previous high scores and had option of playing in your own time. Tx
The icon never stays on my home screen when I add it. I've even had to reinstall it to get the icon to shoq in my apps, though it saves the last game.
Only game I play. Addicting! Love it! Wish it kept a list of words spelled and how you rate among other players
