Now you may read and listen to the Bible in your mobile device through this comprehensive application put together by Konstantinos Bezanis and the WordProject team.
The application offers the Holy Bible (Text and Audio) in no less than 36 of the most wide-spoken languages of the world: Chinese, Hindi, English, Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Italian, German, Swahili, Turkish, Vietnamese, Amharic, Thai, Persian, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Serbian, Czech, Polish, Romanian, Somali. This application offers audio narrations, not dramatized versions. Portuguese narration in European Portuguese.
The application comes with the default in English and all other languages are easily and automatically installed with one click, according to the needs of the user. The text in any language takes 30 seconds or less to download and gets automatically installed, you just need to have your device connected through Wi-Fi or DATA. Audio chapters can be streamed, and heard in any language when you are connected to Wi-Fi or DATA, or may be download into your device for use offline anytime, anywhere.
The audio download is available book by book, which means that even if you have limited space, you can download a book (i.e. Genesis), use it for awhile, and then uninstall it and download a new one
- this can be done in any of the 36 languages available with both text and audio. If you have plenty of space in your device, then you may download the whole Audio Bible
- if you wish to.
To use the audio continuous play option more effectively, please note that you should set the app to continuous play (on the settings page), and we recommend that you activate the 'Screen On' option. In many devices the screen needs to be always on for the audio continuous play to be in effect. In that case, we also recommend that you use the brightness level available on the same page, to adjust the brightness to a minimum. That way you can enjoy listen to the Bible for several hours and keep your battery. Of course if you plug your device to the power outlet you can listen to the Bible all day…
The purpose of this application is to make the Word available to as many people as possible, so new languages might be available in future versions.

Well spoken by Alexander Scorbie. KJV 😀 If you want a different language you just download the zip file and all is instantly translated. Not all languages (Zulu for example) are yet available in the audio, but you get the written. The odd language in audio is poor quality. Over all, this is a fantastic, very useful app. Very user friendly.
I chose your App because my preferred accent is RP. But it has the following inconveniences: - the audio has to be downloaded separately, and, in places with poor internet, takes ages. In addition, the audio s do disappear. Why don't you make the audio an integral part of the download as with other Bible downloads? Would also be a good idea to show the verses being read as is the case with other Apps. Then make other Bible editions available including the King James version in modern English.
This is probably the best Bible app on Google play. It has a lot of critical features for free without ads (zero ads ladies & gentleman!). Features such as offline text & audio, continuous play, multiple languages and night mode. The interface is clean, lite and simple to use. God bless WORDPROJECT! Feature requests: 1. Sleep timer 2. Please consider including a dramatised English KJV audio version! A cast of talented British accented readers with a subtle background music must be employed.
Doesn't play chapters consecutively when screen off. Even when selecting 'continuous', simply plays the same chapter over and over. Frustrating.
Very nice app with lots of languages and audio available. Adjustable font sizes and night mode are comfortable to read. The section of themes of verses are handy even though that doesn't have audio for the verses. I will keep using this app as it is more stable without huge download.
This app is really great and has been a great tool. Thanks guys. I got another phone recently, downloaded the app from here but it has been very difficult downloading the Audios. It goes really slow and stop at around 14% or so. Please fix it and help my life
This is a brilliant app (English kjv), but I cannot give it a 5 star rating, as much as I want to. It appears that it is a computer enhanced voice of Alexander Scourby, which is great (because it corrects mistakes that Scourby made, eg 1 Cor 6:10 he said revellers, whereas this app correctly said revilers), but it makes the same mistake that Scourby made. He omits the introductory passages in various chapters of Psalms, as does this app, which is frustrating.
I love this app. I also play the audio on my tower computer from their website. The voice over is very clear; makes listening enjoyable. I highly recommend it.
I really appreciate, because all along I've been yearning for a luganda audio bible but now am satisfied. I wish you build a luganda Anglican audio tonic and the prayer book. And improve this app that a reading can start from a selected verse . But all in all great great job.
My favorite and only app for Bibles in many languages. Audio and text, online and offline, free and trustworthy. Lots of settings such as font size. Many languages, even less widely studied ones such as Japanese and Potugese.
Love this app! And it's pretty easy to use, with a few cool things like night light and continuous play. I just wish we could choose different voices!!
Calvary greetings, I downloaded the luganda bible and I so love it, the audio is amazingly clear too. If only the WP team could work out a way to download the entire audio bible at once instead of a book at time that would be great! Otherwise it's a brilliant app Thank you team WP. Shalom ❤

Wow! Thanks word project for the multiple languages option and making it free. I'm learning German, French and other languages through the bible. I must say the German reader in Psalm 59 and French reader in Matthew 6+7 are awesome. What a captivating reader! I love their engaging reading. God bless!
I'm very happy to say that this application is the first one I go through everyday. Now there is an error which is to be rectified. The old testament book number 26 Ezekiel chapter 21 audio file is missing. There we get the audio of chapter 22. It happens in Malayalam language.
Thank you word project team for this wonderful app I have been looking for a good telugu audio Bible app for years and finally wait is over. However, there's one thing I'd like you to change and that is the brighteness. This app takes maximum brightness no matter how much I decrease the brighteness in my phone due to reading in maximum brightness my eyes strain a lot. Other than that everything is else is perfect. May God bless you abundantly and use you to spread his word even more!!

This is a wonderful app for the Bible readers but the text form is easily corrupted yet it is so crucial for us.Secondly, make a provision of extracting a verse or a passage in audio. James Ssemwogerere

On the website we are able to choose 74 languages. In the app only 38. My language isn't available in the app, only in website.

I have been using other Malayalam Bible app thus far, but that was not supporting the copy-paste features; accordingly I searched for a Bible app that provide the needful and landed up in your word project which meets essential features that a common man is in need. However, it would be my pleasure if you could strive forward in order to incorporate the features of search, etc as available in the Blue letter Bible. Thank you very much and God bless you.
