Words for Kids - Reading Game!

+ Nimble Minds' best seller Bud's First Words
- Reading Games' is a beautifully illustrated word learning and reading game, loved by kids, parents and teachers all over the world.
Join Bud on a journey through his house, school, city and around as he and his friends go from place to place to learn and review everyday sight words used in English for naming things. There is a long list of vocabulary for the children to learn and practice.

In Bud's First Words
- Reading Games, kids will start learning by listening and reading nouns, the names of things found around them in everyday places like bedroom, bathroom, classroom, playground, park, etc. Then in Play mode children will read questions and they will be asked to identify the same objects and recognize their words to reinforce their learning. In no time you will see kids spotting and naming things around the house and increasing their vocabulary every time they play.

Along with the Common Core goals (described below), the aim of Words for Kids is to:

- improve reading skills by practicing words children hear at home and school
- improve reading fluency
- boost kids confidence and self esteem
- help children with difficulties like autism, add, adhd, speech delay, non-verbal in reading and learning English language and communication in a positive and stimulating way.

My 2 year old son loves this app! There's only one small problem with it. The 'music' is waaay too loud, and the talking voice is too soft. I have to have the volume right up on his tablet for him to hear the words and instructions, but when he exists out to the menu, we are BLASTED by the music! Fabulous app, but either the music or voice volumes need to be tweaked. Then I'd happily give 5 stars.

Some items like fireworks and rollercoaster does not respond when clicking on it. Please send a bug update. Expect a bit more when paying for apps.

This app has a learning segment which is object recognition. what is disappointing is there are fewer "rooms" containing objects to be recognized than originally advertised. Therefore I rate this application incomplete . The play or games portion asks you to identify objects in a room and a correct response generates 'superb'. It is always the same response and it is boring. I suggest if you want to redeem this application you should deliver all the other "rooms" or categories you advertised which currently show as soon to come every time you close the app.

My son is 5 years, from indonesia (non english speaking country). I love when he imitates the audio's pronounciation correctly (in english style). He likes this app because the media is fun, interesting and eye catching. He's currious to know the next version as seen on the ads. I promise him to buy as soon as he completes the first one. As for input, sometimes its difficult for him to tap on the correct area/coordinates of the object. The audio didn't appear as he wants
