The game is not able to correlate to the objective of getting out of jail. I downloaded it thinking it's made of anecdotes and words linked to it but it fails to make the player feel empowered and in control, I had myself solving aimless puzzles and the game is basically stupid cutscenes with scramble. As a game designer I fail to understand why one would make such a slow, boring and aimless game that is a complete disconnect with the overall objective.

It's a good game if you have nothing else to do. The story is fun at first, but it basically stops once you're free (he just stands at the beach with the occasional "I'll make levels harder" text bubble from then on out). Interest is then lost fast and I find myself playing less. Also, I haven't been able to play the daily challenge anymore. The screen just goes black (the music still plays). I have to shut the game off in order to get out of it. Never used to have problems before. LG Stylo 3.

Ok, but not what I expected. I thought the gameplay was going to be like the ads: solving the word puzzle to keep the escape going. Like if the character needs an item, you solve the puzzle for the item he needs, and he moves on, etc. I definitely wasn't expecting endless levels of solving word puzzles with no action. The story is only incorporated during the cut scenes, which are really repetitive.

As said in previous reviews, the advertisement doesn't reflect the game play. The majority of the game is just finding a random word, not a word that will help you. The biggest frustration though is that, after a certain point about a third of the way through the storyline doesn't change until the end. So there are about two hours of no progress, that made me start to hate the game. And there was no end in sight as the game didn't give an indication of the end point until it abruptly ended. Another review said the game ended around level 200, which gave me a end point to look forward to, but the game gave no such goal. This game needs 1) more story points and progress points in the second half of the game and 2) to give the player a goal. Tell the player it will take about x days to get out or faster if you use power ups.

I thought it was cool at first, but there is no storyline. It is just the guy digging day after day, with the same clichéd faces and word puzzles that have nothing to do with the "journey". I'm on day 117 and there is no change. Plus, the ads you can watch to get upgrades do NOTHING. And for a word game, there are concerning word errors... like "upgrade successed". And for overall progress I currently have 72 yards, although it says I progressed 74 yards that day. Don't waste your time.

This is a really good game concept but it is ruined by the adverts. They are relentless. Even after choosing to watch an advert for a bonus, you are shown a second one because you guessed the word correctly. Although there is a 'no ads' microtransaction available to buy, I never felt the need to purchase simply because I never felt rewarded by the game in the first place. If the ads were reduced I would have enjoyed this game a lot more.

This game has a very cool concept (telling a story with word games) but the frequent ads take away from the experience. The word puzzles are never challenging, and after you play for an hour it starts cycling back to the easiest challenges. A game should always add a little bit of a challenge as it goes, but that is sadly not found here. Also, graphics are substandard. I feel that more of the gameplay issues would be forgiven if the animations and graphics were better quality.

Game is very fun and has very challenging words, although for a English word game there are very many grammatical errors in the dialogue. Also for the love of God get rid of that little pointer that pops up in the bottom right of screen if you don't touch anything for 5 seconds. No I don't want to waste my coins on every level, and I would like to be able to think for more than a few seconds before I'm taunted by a hand indicating I need help. I can't focus with it - edit : thanks for the reply

I'm disappointed. Initially, I was intrigued by the ad where you had to figure the words out in "real time" with only a few tries before it was game over. The ad made the game seem challenging and interactive. In reality, the game is just you unscrabbling a group of letters over and over until you piece together the correct word. While it is good for the brain, I find myself getting bored by the repetitiveness, especially since the story is slow to progress. Day 557, and I'm uninstalling.

Fun challenge for dyslexic people! I'm on level 250 and have had my fill. It's really addicting for a while, but then it grows repitive and difficult, so much so that I don't find it worth it to continue playing. Also I keep needing hints, so I find myself spending more time watching ads for coins than I do playing the game. It's worth getting with, but don't expect weeks of entertainment.

It can be addicting, sure. But there are way too many ads. Including the ads you can watch to "upgrade" equipment. The upgrades do nothing... you get out at Day 200 no matter what. Also, day 100-200.. the story completely drops off and just says your progressing. You dont even feel a sense of accomplishment for escaping. Back to the ads... I get putting them in the game, but there are far too many for such a simple game. An AD once every 3 or so levels is a little much. I'm not sure if there is really a story past level 200... but if there is, then you should inform the player sooner than 210, or it'll just feel like another boring word game to them

Update: Daily puzzles no longer work, either. screen goes black and then have to close the app. Daily puzzles are what kept me playing. I guess it's time to uninstall. Ads don't follow sound settings. I don't mind free apps having ads, but when I intentionally turn all sound and music off and then an ad comes up and starts blaring through my speakers, that is unacceptable.

It's essentially a good word game with good stickman graphics, but the ads make you believe that each word your figure out will help him do something new to get out of jail when really it's the same things over and over most of the time & words that have nothing to do with the escape. It tells you you've made progress, but per the expectation of the ads, you miss out on seeing it. Disappointing & I did uninstall. It became boring very quickly. With changes, this game would be a great success.

Disappointed! I was very interested in playing this game from the ad I saw, but from the first level this game is confusing, boring, and lame. Whoever made it has a very weak grasp of the English language, making it awkward. There are 8 letters to choose from, to make a 3 letter word, and said word usually seems to have no relation to the scene at all, which is completely opposite of what the ad showed. Better revamp the whole game. I'd play it, if it was anything like the ad portrayed.

The game is very boring, gives you a sense of achievement in the beginning which is followed by a long and tedious quest to achieve nothing. Read prior reviews stating the game repeatedly crashed "as did mine" but was over come by turning my Wi-Fi off. Once I was able to play the game I gave it a fair run "day 300" and yet still no progression. The game is essentially a simplistic word game with no story and no visible goal. A total waste of time. Edit: seen the game was updated and hoped to see improvement. Opened the game and was still in the prison, completed one word puzzle and then transported to the beach. No shown path on how this was reached but certainly feels as if the level I was at made for a large leap in the games "story".

Pros: Generous with tips, but won't hold your hand. Fully functional. Addictive Cons: Repetitive Story text appears to be written by someone who English is a second language for. I made it to lvl 9 before I gave up on it. Gameplay is standard, the simple story had me invested, but the game drags on and I got sick of the main character's smirk quickly. Ads are excessive, but I didn't bother to check if there was a way to turn them off, so shame on me. Not game of the year, but worth a try.

The trailer for this game made it out to be funny. It really wasn't, most the time you just find simple three or four letter words over and over to the point it becomes mind numbingly boring... The ads deffinately doesn't help the game. Spell a four letter word and get an ad. I uninstalled after giving it almost a week off and on to see if it improved. Nope!

great app! the basic idea is that your progress through the levels helps a prisoner to escape. don't get hung up on that though, it's just a sidebar. the more stimulating part of the game is solving the word puzzles. each challenge requires using the letters supplied to create words. levels require a specific amount of letters in the word, some require a specific letter at a specific place in that word.

Gag. H. Feb 15, 2019

It's really not worth downloading. The plot is uninteresting, there's a lot of typos [I can understand that, it may have been translated from another language], and the animation isn't great. Plus, it's not very challenging, and it's unrewarding when you solve the puzzles. If you're looking for a good puzzle game, search for a game called "hocus". It's free and ad-free, accompanied by calming waves, and actually quite challenging forced perspective puzzles.

Two stars for the storyline with the convict but the way the game plays is terrible. I think there are games where stick figures as characters is done well. This effort is weak. I like simple word games and the slight connection to storyline. But, again, effort. It could be tighter. Then, the bonuses are tied to ads + theres more ads between rounds. No, stop.

Ash. N. Jan 24, 2019

I've made it to day 520 and my stick character is free but there's still over 500 days after that!!! i got to say it's good as a daily word scramble puzzle but after level 10, it's just a puzzle with barely a story or a plot. The things that make it interesting which are the ways you help the prisoner escape are spaced more and more widely with each level. About the complaints about ads, the videos are all voluntary. It's also weird seeing bad spelling and grammar in an English word game.

Lil. Oct 16, 2018

Its a nice game but its so repetitive and dull and nothing all that extra about it. The premise is simple and an interesting concept at first before you get bored of it in the next 10 minutes. It makes me sleepy playing the game to be honest. The music is relaxing and the graphics are standard so your eyes gets tired. All you do is spell words. I love word games like this but more could be added to make it interesting and not so simple and dull.

Flu. Feb 12, 2019

I downloaded it because I saw an add of the main guy running from the police and saving a chained up girl. It looked really cool. Well, if you choose for whatever reason to download this game, here's warning: THE ADS ARE LIES. This is SO disappointing. I was waiting so long for it to get good but I guess it never does. The plot starts alright, though the script is in broken english. But after the introduction and the bird friend comes into play? It goes COMPLETELY stagnant. Worst game ever.

Blu. D. Dec 3, 2018

Every action requires an ad. It's ridiculous and not fun at all. I thought this would be an interesting twist on a word game but it's nothing but getting players to make them money on ads from every possible action. Need to upgrade? Ad. Want to collect coins after finishing a level? Ad. Otherwise you have to continue and collect nothing. No real satisfaction and you accomplish nothing. The word game itself is boring, replay on the same words and no challenge. Do not recommend.

Game is full of ads. Game play is mediocre at best. Don't need to watch ads for coins IF you find extra words during each level. I dug for 521 game days to get out of prison now I'm on a beach dancing. No new animation, just the same word find. Nothing special. It took me about 4 hours of gameplay to complete the 521 levels WITH all the ad interruptions. I would not recommend this to anyone who is looking for something challenging.

A decent little word game for killing time. Not the use of English and math make no sense sometimes. For example, sometimes my daily distance is greater than my overall distance. And way too many ads. But if you don't use hints, the coins are worthless. Would be nice to be able to buy upgrades with coins won in the game.
