Have been using this app for years and like it a lot. But like the last two reviews, I am unable to download puzzles with this latest version. I have a new phone: LG Phoenix 4. Please look into it and see if you can fix it. Thanks. Only giving 4 stars because of this problem.
love this app, but since last update on my phone, robo crosswords will not download any puzzles. all i get is a black screen. all options for help & settings are dark & inaccessible, same for options if which puzzles to download
Still the best app for getting my AVCXWords fix. Thanks for keeping the app around and kicking. Would love to see a batch archive feature or something to make it easier to clean up older puzzles though.
This seems to work well enough, and I have looked at the help they provide but I don't see a way to handle rebus squares in a puzzle using this utility. Am I missing something? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Been with this developer since 1st android phone on the market. ( HTC G1) The best Xword app anywhere. Dev is prompt with rare app issues and always replies fast and in kind of any issues that pop up.
i love this app BUT, i bought a new android tab (Sinbans Tango) and the games won't download. unistalled/reinstalled. rebooted tab & no dice. Is there a fix? Advice?
The app won't download any of the crosswords, which makes it hard to do any of the crosswords

Can't download Joseph or Sheffer Crosswords.
Puzzle UI is top-notch, but don't like that it downloads so many puzzles when you first run it, especially since the only way to delete them all is to long-press and select "Delete" on EVERY single. UPDATE 1/2019: Now getting "app has stopped" error when opening .puz file from browser. Opens fine on next launch. Also seems to be liberally interpreting a tap followed by a hold & swipe as a zoom, when my intent was to select a square and then pan across the puzzle.
Robot X-wd is the perfect way to fill the idle moments. Thank you.
When i opt for my Native Keyboard i lose the ability to drag the puzzles up and down. Also, it would be great if we could select multiple puzzle for deletion.
Nice UI. If you can't use Shortyz due to the oversensitive tap/drag issue, this has a setting to fix that.
Nice simple design, can download puzzles from different sources (including, with a subscription, the New York Times). Works well if your network connection is intermittent or slow.
Thanks for the fork of the best parts of the Shortz app and also thanks for keeping ads out of it. I tried the new version and was ready to git it myself and found yours instead. Ty
Easy to use with the ability to adjust controls. Can chose more or less difficult puzzles. Love this app!
Last thing needed when solving a clue is to forget it because you have to struggle to put the letters in to the right square cells. The control keys for these clues are poor
NYT Xword often fails to download. Ugh. Otherwise great.

This app is the perfect solution if you enjoy a daily puzzle but don't already get a paper. You can get a nice assortment of crossword puzzles ranging from easy to punny. ;-) I like that you can download the puzzles for offline play while I'm traveling and don't always have an internet connection.
Greatest variety of crosswords/difficulty levels, control over settings is great. Favorite crossword app I've found. 2 years, 3 phones, near-infinite access to crosswords. Quality product and way better than literally every other crossword app I've tried. Worth digging through the pile of apps to re-find.
One of the best apps. Fantastic in its simplicity. Used to be Words With Crosses but Zynga got all high and mighty and demanded a name change since they're idiots. Anyway, I adore this app, it's absolutely fantastic.
Great app. Sorry you had to go through something as trivial as the name of your app. Reminds me a bit of when WWE was sued by the World Wildlife Foundation when they were still known as World Wrestling Federation, like anyone would confuse the two.
Pretty good app. After deleting a completed puzzle, it would be nice if the puzzle list WOULD NOT snap back up to the top of the list but stay where I am in the list.
If you do crosswords, then you absolutely must have the Robo Crosswords app!

Unlimited free crossword puzzles? Yes, please! I've been using Robo Crosswords seamlessly for years. You can customize which puzzle sources to download and can do a "cleanup" to delete completed and outdated puzzles. My favorites are Universal Crossword, USA Today and Joseph Crossword. The first two require some brainpower, but I can usually complete them without hints. If you need help, you can check for errors or get a square or word revealed. Great app!
