The intelligent word entry suggests possible correct spellings as you type, as well as listing words that sound the same or are often confused.

- Fast pattern-matching search (*, ?, vowel and consonant)

No Internet connection is required to use WordWeb once installed. It requires about 280MB of space on your SD card.

Note: If you don't hear sound check the volume/mute under main Settings, Volume. The Media setting should be up to hear sound from apps.

The audio is paltry. These are computer generated clips. And some of them aren't even correct - they don't correspond with the phonetic spelling given. The word "demagogy" is one example. Otherwise, My dictionary of choice now. An option to edit out the listings on the left would be nice. I don't have the chambers thesaurus, and it's annoyingly in the way.
The best offline dictionary I've seen so far, with a lot of features.
WordWeb Audio Dictionary. If you want a completely Awesome App. This is The One, I found WordWeb years ago and have used it for ever it is one of the Apps I never go with out. On every device I have and have owned if there ever was an app I can't live without this is it. I've had several apps that are Dictionary apps such as the Oxford dictionary a $19.00 big mistake. Can't get a hold of anyone. This app is the best I paid for the pro version and I have it on my phones tablets laptops & desktops
Wonderful reliable effective app, really to the point, everything is great, simple interface and great search method.. but lack of thesaurus The only two things we need are the *thesaurus* and to provide the *quick access* definitions WITHOUT opening the app itself
Don't say this a audio dictionary as it does not have the audios of the meanings of the words.
I have been using the free version of Wordweb on my computer for many years. I now use the paid audio version on my cell phone too. It is a dependable and no-nonsense app. I am happy to pay for using it. Thank you, makers of this fine brand of software.
A really nice app but it would be nice to see more example sentences.
Best app for dictionary.
After the recent update i am not able to bookmark new words. When i hit the bookmark button this app gets freeze n stop working. My device has android 8 (Oreo). Please resolve this issue as soon as possible
I would recommend this application to people looking for dictionaries and kids learning english words. The voice/audio pronounciation helps to learn better.
If I knew the icon being changed to match Google's guideline to look this ugly, I would not going to update it at all. The new icon looks really bad. Please change back to the old icon.
Give me back my old icon! -edit- Beside the the best Icon on my phone being lost I have to give it 5 stars. I just wish I could have the old icon back. But overall this app is the best dictionary I have found.
Saved bookmark files from my previous phone(android 9) not working on android 10. Could you please allow the saved bookmarks in separate file to be arranged alphabetically. Thank you in advance.
This is great dictionary app but the microphone on the keyboard does not work so therefore giving it 1. Creator of the app can't fix the problem
Great app! I'd like to recommend it to every student who wants to improve his/her English as well as to those preparing for competitive exams.
I love it. It helps me avoid peti mistakes in the application of other apps, especially, writing English on Social Media.

Lookup words from other apps not working on android 10. App icon looks cheap. I wouldn't recommend.

Widgets are not responding. Unable to open this app through tapping on widget.
Very useful app. Only the app icon is changed ! Like the the old icon which was better .
Nothing is synced no where: all my bookmarks and favourite words are missing after reinstalling it in my new device.
