World Hockey Manager

Used to be a Great game, but they have cut back heavily on rewards and have Made it difficult to get ahead. It's ok to make money from players, but it should be fully possible to play the game without paying. Getting towards the end of my tolerance for this. Edit2: at this point, the game is a waste of my time. I keep getting relegated and promoted between allstar leagues. Ridiculous. Uninstalling

I like this game very much. I just wish you could somehow gain more money. It's really hard to extend the contracts of your good players because they're really expensive and you only get money from your sponsors or home games, which is not much. You have to let some good players go, even if you don't want to which is really sad. Otherwise I love this game.

It's pretty fun, customizing you're own team down to the jersey colors but it's a long, slow crawl building a decent team and a decent rink if you don't spend money on the cash and coin perks, which is annoying as hell

Game says I need to update and play store says I don't. Got it now, no content, just a St Patties tourny. The game is like European football I guess where you take the same team and get promoted to the next league when you win. At lower levels you wont be able to resign the great players you develop and unlike the Edmonton Oilers of the 90s you cant trade them away for draft picks...

Great game, lots to figure out. I've never spent more than 2.99 on a game and this one I've spent quite a bit, worth the fun. And I only started this game in Nov 2021.

Hello. Your support team has most likely been slammed with emails about the recent update.I can attest to the unfairness of the update. it is to be that I could average 400 to 600 coins a weekend for just 70 wins. I seem to work harder and longer just to make 100 coins for 70 wins. And wow! I see in some aspects that the "rewards" are more, the top teams now benefit as well. Great for the competition, not so great for others. BÒOOOOO!

Its not user friendly at all. I Havent even got to plaý the game. I wait and wait and wait for it to load nad it just stays at 75%.

Interesting game. Some nice features in building up not only your team but franchise as well. It is disappointing the match making is broken. 30% of time you are matched against teams that are impossible to beat, 30 OVR vs 55 OVR. There is no way to forfeit, so you are forced to watch your team lose 10 -1...

It's ok. They want to make money, so there are coins and stuff, and it is hard to get started, because you don't know how to do things. Sadly its little like real life, contracts, team lines (4 defancemen lines). Its coin based, but one can play not using the system, but it's super slow. At this time, Ive played this game for 8 months, with no coins. 100 ideas to make it a better game, but not without removing coin system. Huge potential. Slow progress.

Inconsistent. sometimes wining feels like a roll of the dice, no real skill or strategy. i do enjoy the game, but im getting increasingly frustrated with it. it is in need of some in match strategies as well, i have been waiting for this and they have had more than enough time to implement it now. just drop it down to 1 star as i watched one of my matches and it was interrupted 4 times for AD's

It took a while to learn the ins and outs of what it took to be successful, which is great, and I found it fun and the competitive aspect was great. the last update has been very frustrating. when competing in the weekend group challenges injuries happen almost every game, and they will last all weekend if you dont fix them because the number of games they are injuried for is based on league games, not games played. this greatly detracts from the enjoyment and gas left me very frustrated.

The game is overall a good game. I wish there was a little more feedback during your games, maybe even a little more information on what each type of training's benefits are. The one major downside I have is that on the challenge matches you tend to get put up against a drastically higher rated team. If there was a way to get a little closer up and down to your own rating, I feel it would be a little more realistic/entertaining than knowing you're going to get handed a loss from the load screen.

Simple team management game. Would like to have more flexibility with the team management & some sort of transfer option to raise much needed funds to develop your team. Find it very restricting... The higher up the league's you go, the fewer the free options become, especially training cards. Still like idea of the game but each new update strangles the playability of the game...

Overall the game has a solid foundation, id love to see it play abit more like other sports management games (ie Top Eleven football) and give you more control over the team and the outcome of each individual game in real time. Training system for players seems good and they do level up at a good rate however you do have to spend alot coins to rank up more players so overall the training system could be tweaked. Since the last update challenge games dont load and i dont see results for a while.

The graphics, outline, and idea are all great... But, please include more animation type things such as a quick Zamboni animation in between periods, and change the view of the game from just viewing ice, to being able to play in our own arena. The animated picture of our arena in the "Club" section, should be the terrain and landscape that we should play in. Thank you.

Not a bad little game, no need to spend cash as long as you like slow progress but since it's only managing a team/arena it's pretty good. would like the ability to occasionally do more than 1 upgrade at a time though, seasonal bonuses? Somethig different. I can't see playing more than a year but it's a good distraction for now.

awesome game, I've been playing it for at least a year now. it has awesome support staff that are always listening, as well as fixing and improving the game frequently. I would love it if it were possible to trade players between your group to help others, and have a trade block option in the profile. that would be super cool. Also should be able to change strategies between periods in game so theres more things to do in game. Also more strategies.

Fun game. Doesnt take up a ton of time. my complaints are... contracts cost too much. i can only afford to sign good players to a 1 year contract. that is if i have enough money. games take too long. maybe allow us to do work in the bg while the games are on to pass the time. upgrades cost far too much. even with the price reduction cards they are hard to buy because you need all money for contracts? give more money when you trade in your coins. you did make it a bit better but not enough.

EDIT: this is a great game for new players, but once you get to the higher levels you basically need to pay to play. You used to be able to get around this by developing young players in the academy, but the last update really broke that. Each training session improves skills less than it used to and they took away the ability to train individual players with the unlimited "General" card. This makes it vastly more difficult to train up a full academy of young players and basically impossible to train goalies, since they can only be trained using a single card type. With 15+ card types and reduced training improvement you'll never get enough goaltender cards to train a high-level goalie.

It was an awesome game, but they've made so many changes and almost every update sends me through a repetitive loop to try and download the latest version. Which it sends me to play store and won't let me download until days later. I haven't been getting credit for my sold cards and my multiple emails to support are ignored. The tech support is either nonexistent or just doesn't care, so why should I? After 2 years it's time to delete the app.

So you want to manage a Pro hockey team, hey. This is a fun, albeit slightly unrealistic game where you take a hockey team and manage it through different leagues and skill levels. I like the idea of the game, but some of the gameplay is definately unrealistic. Game updates can be problematic, but developers are responsive to suggestions...

Nice to see that player handedness & height/weight have been added. Otherwise all changes cosmetic. Still missing a few things to become a top-tier game for me. Things I would like to see are more nations, reworked player names (especially US/CAN players are all named after real-life players which breaks immersion), player career stats, player roles (2wf etc.), separation of F & D lines, and off-ice interactions. Still the best hockey manager game out there though and looking forward to more.

Pretty fun. I'd definitely like to see some changes in upgrade times and overall play it seems too slow like it's super fun but I don't have the focus to wait 2 days for 1 single upgrade and just a few games per day I'd definitely like to see the overall gameplay sped up. Other than that it's the best hockey game I've found to date it's just too slow right now

I have developed two teams in 1.5 yrs, kept players' costs down, saved game cash to upgrade facilities to level 11/12 with my 1st team, level 8/9 with my 2nd team. All-Star League and Gold League I. The frequent "Failed to Connect" is driving me and many others CRAZY. Too bad that ads and partnerships have not resulted in smoother game connectivity. Really disappointed in WHM and Gold Town Games.

I've been playing this game daily for a year. There is slight management tactics however you're mostly at the mercy of chancing your luck if your team is under 90% health regardless if your team is better statistically versus your opponent. So it becomes more of a coin flip. The graphics and feel of the game is very polished and building up your team is fun, however if you're not willing to dedicate a lot of time and effort like a manager should, this game will leave you frustrated.

Change of review. The latest update is killing my players, injuries almost every game. Please change it back! The players contacts once over 80 become extortionate. You become trapped unable to develop your stadium to bring in more cash or pay contracts. You end up having to pay if you want to go any further. I've decided I'm going to stop playing now. It was fun, but with no hope of progress without paying out it's no longer any fun.

Uninstalled after getting furious with this game. Had a lot of fun at first, it was exactly what I was looking for in this style of game, then the game's win/loss RNG or something decided to screw me over. The occasional loss was one thing, but three or four consecutive losses against significantly lower-ranked teams made me reconsider keeping this game.

Great app. Been playing for a while now. Sometimes unrealistic when your team is far better and can still lose with dominating stats. Also can't choose Head Coach after most recent update. Still has some bugs, buts it's been improving drastically as of late.
