Charming quirky and fun. The puzzles (if you can call them that, they are better described as physics and building challenges) start out easy and get progressively more difficult-- and more imaginative-- but they never get so hard as to seem impossible. You are guided through the game by the "Sign Painter" whose witty and irreverent signs tell a story of sorts. Even in 2020, the graphics are excellent and the artwork is fabulous. Highly recommended!
This low-effort port is abandoned since 2013. Get World of Goo on PC, where it is a masterpiece of deceptive simplicity, art, and glorious music. This version tragically ruins the music with low quality, short clips of the songs which don't loop properly. The interface is fine for touch and it is fun to flick the goo with your fingers instead of a mouse. Only try this version if you don't have a computer or it is very cheap.
Good port of this old game aside from one major issue. There is no way to turn off or turn down the music in-game. If you don't want to blare the extremely loud music the entire time you play, your only option is muting your phone! Very frustrating on OS' that don't allow individual app muting--if such a feature even exists!
Game has aged terribly. It was an amazing feat of creativity in its era, but wasn't adapted well to android and is especially frustrating on newer devices. It would be a nice trip down memory lane if it were free or even cheap, but it's too pricey for nostalgic abandonware.
Its a very awesome story, it has a lot of good details, clever plots and cutscenes! but this game lacks maybe a new game plus, hard mode (basically just a one life mode), or multiplayer? Its story works really well the first time, but after that, its just a game i could play once and thats it. Please add something that doesn't die out fast and maybe i can throw a 5th star. GG though! ✅✅✅✅☑
Horrible port of the PC version. Sometimes you really need to be quick to get OCD, however they didn't adapt this port to touch controls, which aren't as precise as M/K.
Just about perfect in every way. Love the graphics, love the music, good progression & story (especially towards the end), just the right level of difficulty. I don't normally pay for apps or play games, but this one was well worth it - thanks :)
Very good. I like the concept but it's missing more levels. after you complete the levels it gets really boring. I would give it 5 stars if this game had more constant updates.
This was misleading. I thought it was going to be more of a side scroller sort of like mimpi (concept)...but all you do is build a tower of goo in different puzzling settings. It's very creative and not too easy but I was expecting something different! So five stars for the actual game but I am uninstalling because Its not my cup of tea! Perhaps I'll retry another time and stick it out till the end 😁
Classic tower build puzzle game. Plays like the PC game, but on your phone! Super fun and intuitive, with lots of interesting mechanics, with extra challenges for completionist. Highly recommend!
Fantastic game, but or fails to initiate immersive mode on Android 10, which releases Tuesday, making it so that you are constantly closing the app by mistake if you accidentally swipe over the NAV bar, which never disappears, or the wdg of the screen. Please update for Android 10.
One of the great classic indie games. It looks, sounds, and plays perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S8+. Currently priced at $4.99, it is easily worth every penny for the amount of gameplay just one playthrough provides. If you've never played World of Goo, you owe it to yourself to see why this is considered to be one of the best indie games ever made.
Loved it but progress was deleted! I've just gone back to the game after a while away and uninstalled, only to find that it's making me start from the beginning when my Play achievements show that I con completed chapters 1 and 2 already. It looks like this had happened to others too... Developers need to contact us and get progress restored. Without this absolutely key issue, it would have been a 5star review, however if I cannot pick up the game where I left off then the game is worthless!
Enjoy the game but have become disenchanted with the sudden memory loss - twice I have played to Chapter 3 and nearly completed only to log on later and the game has reset.
By far the absolute all time BEST GAME ever on Google Play Store!, I love it! Nothing else like it not even close! So unique, so original, so addicting! You will not regret installing this magnificently challenging yet fun and beautiful game!
It's a good game but really doesn't play well on a phone. Meaning that it's awkward to play. This game is made for a PC and feels that way. Might be fine to play on a tablet.
This game is the best physics simulator/ and puzzle / Story game ever. And reply F for all the goo that couldn't make it to sanctuary they risked their lives and sacrificed themselves for the well being and life of the others. Reply c if you cried during the ending.
It's an amazing game, bought out of nostalgia but it doesn't adapt to my screen resolution I have a note 8 and the game is not centered theres quite a bit of space on one side which is very distracting I don't even mind it not fitting I just wish I could Center it
Deletes progress automatically. Easily a 5 star game if progression was possible. Useless garbage as it stands. Unless you really enjoy the first 3 chapters on repeat, DO NOT BUY
Played end to end on the Wii so purchased for a bit of a retro blast on the phone. It's still great but touch screen is not quite as good an experience
One of the best games ever, although it hasn't been updated since a long time, meaning that you get some bugs on newer android versions.
Love this game, I had it for my Mac years ago, but this one for my Android doesn't work. It says that it's an old version of the game and won't work on my newer phone. I tried to update it but there weren't any updates available so I just asked for a refund. It's a shame because this game is amazing. Please fix this so I can give this game the much deserved 5 star review!!
Great game, but there's some graphical issues on modern phones and Android versions. Would be nice to get a recompile with those fixed as it's a classic.
This game will challenge anyone who enjoys physics and puzzles. I have my nephews play this as well and they have a blast trying to figure out the problems. Great teaching tool
Great game, worth every penny. I only wish they would make a sequel. So much fun and almost relaxing to play. This game really helps you unwind even if you only have 5 minutes. Thank you developers....make another one please.
Super cute and charming, but can be frustrating with the way controls are.
I loved this game as a child, but playing it now, I am getting frustrated. I have been loosing my progress with the levels. It always seem to dissappear everytime I try to catch up. What a shame.
A+ graphics, storyline, gameplay, even sound design. I've been playing this particular game for around 9 years since I found it on my mom's laptop when it first came out. It's still one of the best games I've ever played.
For being made for a VERY old version of android, it runs quite well on my phone. I have had no problems with lag. Only a few problems: 1. If you minimize the game and then come back, all the goo balls go invisible until you exit or restart the level. 2. Sometimes the app randomly closes and I have to reopen it and it reboots. 3. Sometimes your game save data can be completely wiped, for all 3 files, seemingly out of nowhere. Oh also, if you use swipe gestures, the game moves your inputs.
