WorldRemit Money Transfer

It used to be a great App for transferring money overseas - quick, easy, not too expensive. I am giving one star as there has been an upgrade of sorts and I can't get into my account, no matter how many times I reset my password I get the same error of "your account is in creation, check your emails". I haven't received any e-mails from Worldremit and reached out to customer service directly, with no reply. Will uninstall and use a competitor App. - Worldremit is just such an inconvenience.

This app works... when it feels like it. It has my card information memorized but yet there are plenty of times when I go to make a payment, it asks me for my card information, even though it already has it. There are plenty of times where it just refuses to send until I logout of the app and log back in. I'd like this app a whole lot more if it weren't so buggy. Also I can't delete old recipients off my account because it just doesn't give me that option.

This used to be a great app. But then suddenly got locked out and I set it up again. But now can't access and it says it will take 48 hrs to verify my details, which I did. This was a month ago . Can't contact and no email address available either. Really terrible and will have to get another way to transfer. Really bad customer service

It had been several weeks that I was locked out of my account. Forgot password simply didn't work. Says "something went wrong" everytime I submit the reset password form. Such a bitter experience. Later I found the bug, if it exceeds given character length of password or any other validations then system only says "something went wrong, please try again" rather than displaying specific validation message. However, beside that, once you get inside App it works great.

Customer Service are unfriendly and not helpful. I used the app to send money, my transaction was pending for almost 2 weeks. Customer service couldn't provide any answers on why the transaction was pending. The only feedback I got was"it was a technical issue" with no time frame provided for the issue to be resolved. Canceling the transaction was not guaranteed so I have been waiting for days for any kind of resolution. Definitely not recommending the app to send money across countries.

Added stars since we has been working without fault for over 2 years now. But previously the app had issues. It worked well for the past year. But for the past week or two transactions have not been going through. Funds are stuck in limbo somewhere. Customer support stinks. I will remove more stars if this keeps up.

This has now been settled by speaking with a helpful customer rep. Horrible world remit still has not sent my money to the recipient's account. It's been 1 week. Their chat from the app doesn't work after 1 completed chat. Their number is an 855, doesn't tell you if it's toll free. I got an email Wednesday, supposedly, they are having issues. How convenient. Complete the transaction so I can uninstall your app and never to be bothered with your horrible service again!!!

This app does not provide accurate status updates. WorldRemit as a company is extremely difficult to work with and I would advise against using this app or their services. I sent three transfers that have yet to be completed and I have no recourse. Do not use this service. Update: the developer advised me to contact customer service for assistance. I have spoken with customer service no less than 5 times. The issue still is not resolved. My one star rating stands.

I have enjoyed using the worldremit app. However, I will be closing my account due to changes on the app that makes sending money an inconvenient task. The app NOW only takes bank accounts with upto 13 numbers. It forces you to update the previous bank details only for the transaction to fail. Staff have to manually override the app to add the extra account number after each transaction. One shouldnt have to go through a whole proces to send money in 2022.

Well, I would say, it's for sure easy access but I did have to stay on hold for 15mins due to ID verification. My new idea holds my single name so for 2 times I send I have to be verified for those 2 times. It would be great if verifications can be done once not twice or more. Other than that it's reliable to send through this app. Thanks 😊

This is not a good amp to send money. Because instead of you going from page one to your next page it just jumping back to the page that you was on before. A person is trying to get this done as fast as they can. When you trying to put your your dollar amount that you want to send. Then something pops up saying that you sent this amount and it won't be what you typed in there. For example if I type in there I want to send $40 something will pop up on the right hand side saying that I sent $1

Service was good, but it's really annoying, as My trasfer is in pending for almost 4 days, and there's no any reason. Generally, it used to be quick. I have sent it multiple times, without any problems, but the transaction is taking too long. I need to find alternative services, if it continues like this.

Really poor app. Kept deleting the receivers bank details, chat option suddenly disappeared, can't login half the time and the list goes on. I'm onto Remitly now and it's looking far more promising.

I was using this app for like 3-4 times and this is the 1st time experiencing such a stressful transaction . I am using the same card but then my transaction is not completed. such a waste of time trying to call may bank then learning the root problem is in your app . Can someone explain what's happening .

It's been a Great App always until recently where I can't send money without having to use the Card Reader. Everytime I try to do that it just doesn't work at all Have raised this issue even sent screenshots and you all said its a problem with my bank. But I recently have another bank and i still can't transact with my mobile banking apps. Keeps saying Transaction cannot be completed. Its so annoying

I was given this app from a friend of mine that has used it in the past to send money to Namibia but when I started the transaction and went looking for it, it was no where on the list. I need to send money quite often to Namibia. Western union is too expensive with their fees. Does anyone know which app I can use for money transfer to Namibia. Thanks Dawn

This app is amazing its easy to use but even better it sends you a message telling you the transaction is complete. It tells you when they message the recipient and then it also tells you when the recipient has picked it up and there's only a $0.99 fee

App is very useful however at times it takes awhile to load doing international transfers.i always get error message that something went wrong and to try again later. It can be annoying. Hope the developers can fix this,else app is really good

It would be helpful to access getting a receipt when sending money. It is hard at times obtaining one. I also had an issue and the chat line was not available on the last encounter. It would be helpful if an agent would return the customer messages.

Okay, I'm rating it fair. Because honestly, at first I gave them only one star and gave negative feedback because it really took long time before the payment arrived on the recipient. But, because they tried their best to rapidly resolve the problem, for their effort and fast response, I'm giving them 4 stars. Please continuously improve your service. Thank you.

Set up an account for the first time, never used this service before. So how is it showing that I sent money to 2 people in my contacts? HOW??? AND how do you have my card number stored when I obviously didn't open an account? No wonder my bank rejected the transaction I was trying to make. Suspicious app. Fastest time ever in unistalling an App. Why Google Apps entertains such fraudsters and scam artists is unbelievable. If only there was an option for no star, that is what I'd give - ZER0

Worst experience ever . I sent a transfer and is almost a week and the recipient hasn't got anything yet. I requested a cancelation and they told me to reach back in 24 hours to tell me yes or not. Seriously?!!;customer service totally bad when they show up. 3 representatives for a world app. Come on!!; not recommending and not using this service again.

I initially experienced problems with this app but customer service sorted it out and it is now my choice app for sending money abroad. I like the fact that I can send money directly to a bank account, mobile money account or even arrange direct pick up for my recipient. I also receive regular updates about the status of my transaction. Exchange rates are reasonable. Some days are better than other days but i guess that's the same for other apps as well. All in all not a bad app. Recommended.

Excelllent application and Excellent ineternational money transfer. Having said that service charges fees applied by bank partber are not clear. I have been charged 1.5% of the sum ( 1st trans ) then $ 7 + $34 ( 2nd transaction) from and now I have just completed another transaction ( 3rd) and I not sure what charges I will be charged . WorldRemit need to look into this to make sure there is consistency from start to finish to ensure smooth transactions. Overall excellent speed.

Until yesterday I didn't have to much of an issue... but yesterday it kept saying my transfer didn't go thru and it was continuing to withdraw my funds...I used to really like this app until they make it almost impossible to stop a transfer. Locate a transfer!!! Now I've sent way more than I was going to and don't want to ask for the funds back... they need to make stopping a tanner easier and easy to find!
