Worx Landroid

Way more than a remote control, this app removes all the guess work, enabling your Landroid to take the best decisions for your lawn, autonomously.
The app tells your Landroid how long it has to operate daily, taking into account those variables that influence your grass growth rate. Still you have the option of setting at what time it should start and exclude days you don’t want it to operate.
The app also provides cumulative statistics such as distance run, operating time, number of recharges, electricity consumption.

Good idea, lacking essential features. If I clear the error message from the unit, why can't I restart the mower from the app? I don't even mean remotely control it, but start a manual session/send the unit home. Instead, I have to input a manual session from the unit after clearing the error message, then click the home button in the app. Would also be great to clear the error messages from the app for those random times it bumps into something and just gives up (without trying to turn around).

App seems unsupported. The app freezes too much. It doesn't reset after an issue so it always thinks the landroid is stuck - even when it's not. Requires too much manual intervention. Best to use the landroid itself to control. The only thing the app is good for is setting a schedule.

Needs some work. First there is no Bermuda Grass species in the auto mode... Second there is no installation help within the app, although the manual/box says to use the app to help with installation. Third, there is no wifi connection option in the settings of my landroid, just "phone connect"... I bought a brand new landroid, and this app doesn't properly tell you the correct way to pair. Looks like you guys cheaped out on the app and no longer update/support it?

I'm currently at a considerable distance from my mower and my neighbour has unblocked the mower >50 times. For the cases where there's no safety issues like 'cannot find base' or when it has overpassed the wire for 5 millimetres, it would be nice if we could control the mower to unblock, turn, run backwards, as I can see it on a webcam - usually bad things happen on the way to the base.

Works pretty good. I know it's a safety issue but wish you could tell it to carry on from app when it thinks it was lifted. Think you could tell it it's ok and it could double check it's sensors and do it's warning beeps and keep going. Really love the mower.

Nice app but missing feature, the ability to see the schedule. If it's in the app I haven't seen it. Also it was way to hard to set up on my 5g wifi...I mean crazy hard. Overall the app is fine.

New app is improved. Certainly could have more functionality and lags behind the apple app but finally has some equivalent functionality (e.g. time left on rain delay).

Love my Worx Landroid. Had to roll back a firmware that left the mower effectively broken on my lawn, but appart from that it's been great. However the app has started asking me to log in everytime I use it, which I don't like.

It works, but will be helpful to read the mower display in to the phone app especially when it is in the garage.

It's better than doing everything with the built in Landroid keypad, but it isn't as intuitive as it could be.

It works in the most basic sense, but it's lacking in a lot of useful features. It appears to be smart enough to alter mowing based on weather, but I have no idea when the Landroid will go out or for how long. There should be an indicator of when the next session is and for how long, and the time remaining on a current session. I should be able to manually set a rain delay if I know a storm is incoming. Right now I have to switch on party mode and then later remember to reset it.

Mowers tends to leave base and wear down grass till turns to dirt. Can you have robot leave and run the opposite direction? So it doesn't cause so much wear

Very easy to use, nice design, informative home screen, handy notifications, stable and reliable. In the previous version autoschedule was a bit weird. Now it's more than perfect in version 2! I miss 2 functions only: -rain delay status is displayed but it would be nice to see the actual counter in the app. -when I click on "home" button, I cannot stop the mower from the app. It would be nice to have a widget for start/stop/home commands.

This is a revision to my original review. The setup failed repeatedly with the wireless access point that covers the lawn but I managed to connect to another one. It's not much good for live alerts but, at least, I can now programme the mower without lying on the ground, squinting at its tiny LCD display and pushing buttons. Since it does what I want I'll give it four stars now: if I could get the full advertised functionality it would have been 5.

Generally works fine but can be a little buggy. Happens now and then it says the landroid is offline when it's not, forcing you to kill the app and restart it to be able to control the mower again. UI can be a little confusing. You have to make sure to press save on each screen for changes to be stored. This isn't very clear and there is no indication that changes aren't saved. All in all though, a good app with room for improvement.

Usable, but buggy. I wish the application would match what the screen says verbatim. I also wish both the app and the mower would tell me what zone it is mowing. Better user experience is needed; I'd be willing to give feedback. Local control would also be nice, I don't care for the cloud access. I also wish there was remote control. When the mower is outside the wire, I can see it, I'd prefer to drive it back in rather than walk over and move it. If these things improve I'd give more stars.

I can't believe this hasn't been updated since August. I'm constantly getting "landroid seems to be offline" message even thought it's one meter from the router, and the device display shows it is connected. A quick Google search tells me this is a common issue. There's no reliable workaround that I can find, making the Landroid nothing but a very expensive mistake so far.

Mower is now useless and doesn't work in auto. Last year during the first year of ownership it was great, a few teething issues, nothing major. Now though you cannot connect to the mower with your phone as it can never establish a connection and you cant clear the screen. Pretty much the only way is to go and physically press the button to start it now. No programming runs, nothing works. Is there a way to roll back the software update?

I really like being able to control my lawn mower from my phone, and I have found this app to be stable and useful over the past several days since installing my Landroid WR140. I agree with some of the suggestions for improvement like seeing when the mower would finish on auto schedule and when a rain delay would finish too. It would also be really nice to be able to edit zone positions in the app. I think some of the gripes about the app have more to do with connectivity and the mower itself.

I feel the new app is not as good as the old. More frequently indicates errors and the 'raining' feature appears to have disappeared. There used to be a more timely advice message. One thing that really is worse off is that the New app does not indicate what zone the Landroid is currently mowing. This was a useful feature on the old version of the app. Could this be added in an update?

Good and bad and a wishlist... Good: - It works! - Can do a manual cut or send home with just a button push. - Fairly intuitive interface - Not ugly to look at. Bad: - Lots of unnecessary advertising of peripherals on the home page. - No manual edge cut ability - No ability to set a schedule over a number of days (eg cut from 11am to 12.30 on days mon, tue, wed etc). Current situation is fine, but any tweaks need to be made to each and every day. Wishlist: - NEEDS A LOG! I'd like to be offline for the day and just glance at a log to see that it did everything as it should have today. - remote control! Go on, give me the ability to manually drive it over that patch that it always seems to miss.

The app. Well it's ok but the app often doesn't connect to the mower and I have to back out or force close and reload the app. Rarely connects first go. The mower... Well it stuck a lot in places I wouldn't expect it to. Some serious work needed on detection of being stuck (speed and the sensitivity) and how to get out rather than trying similar things one after another and reversing into holes it's just dug.

Glad to see the developer continuing to evolve this app and increasing its usefulness. However, when new features are added, sometimes new bugs surface. As of 4/12/2021, the latest bug is a big dialog box that is asking me to Activate Sim in the middle of my screen that I cannot dismiss. As far as I know, my 140 doesn't even have a radio module?

App is ok at best. There are so many things that this COULD be and do! Connectivity seems woeful. My landroid is sat in its base with 2 WiFi bars, yes never connects. Having taken it's self off halfway down the garden out of WiFi range, I suddenly seem to get notifications! The menu is to deep and complex. Feedback on actually what's going on would be great as would the ability to specifically steer / cut specific areas - I've tuffts of grass that just don't get touched. Room to improve!

Very pretty, but..... Can't get connection to machine despite good wifi signal, even turned off mesh system to try and help. What is worse, you are trapped if wifi setup and smartconnect (sic) and cannot access menu until it completes. Access to the menu might allow me to determine whether anything I have entered is correct or present. Poorly thought out app. Sending it back soon if no-one from Worx can sort it. Sad because machine looks well made. After Worx & developer contact all is good
