WPLN – Nashville Public Radio

Home page so garbled and arbitrarily cutoff that it's difficult to discern a pattern. After trying multiple times concluded designers didn't have an organized home page in mind. Transition from pages as smooth as Nashville roads. There seems to be little reason to cover national or regional news--that is already available on several sites and in greater detail. In contrast local (metro Nashville) news would benefit from expansion. I realize you are not a newspaper but should be professional

Lets me follow WPLN anywhere. However, every 5-10 minutes, the app stops playing audio. Sometimes I will see a message about a network error, or server error. I have to hit Pause, then Play, to resume listening. Happens with both WPLN and WNXP. These errors occur whether I am connected through my home network (Gigabit Fiber) or through Verizon. Sometimes when I restart, I will hear the last 5 to 30 seconds of what was aired before the audio stopped.

Works great, unless you are doing anything other than just listening to it. If I do anything else at the same time (check my email, text a friend, even send a story link, the app stops after a certain point). If I just let it play and dont use my phone for anything else, it works perfectly.

This application provides adequate avenues for listening to Nashville Public Radio's programing. This application works with Bluetooth earbuds, and will run in the background while the screen is turned off by default. The application seems to be an extension of their web streaming services.

I like it . . . it's a "one stop shopping" app, metaphorically speaking. It's easy to find all that Nashville Public Radio has to offer. Another thing I like about the app is that it shows the cover of the album that is being played when I'm streaming the Classical Music! I think that's great!

Unusable in it's current form. Constantly disconnects and reconnects whether I'm on great wifi or great 4g LTE. Every time it reconnects it replays the ad spot, and it's frustrating to no end. I wish phones would just have radio antennas integrated.

I have loved this app for years, but recently it isn't compatible with my Smartphone and shuts off after a few minutes, despite reinstalling, rebooting phone, etc. Also, since WPLN AM has changed format, there are 50% fewer options for listening to National programming.

Clear, organized and very ready to use. I love that the app allows me ready access to Tiny Desk concerts, interviews, the best news and incredible music from classical to the latest trends. Awesome toolkit

Crashes on first use almost every single time on every device I've used it on, but other than that, it's great. I like all of the options for listening to different music and podcasts.

While I will likely never enjoy the forced underwriting ads, this app has a ton of content from a GREAT NPR super station, and has become more and more stable over time. I couldn't do without it!!

This is so much better than the offical npr app. Has a guide for current stations listing what's playing with a 10 second rewind. It stays connected better even when switching to WiFi or cellular

A good app for fans of WPLN and it's sister classical station. However, the WPLN home page should not scroll; this is a distraction when driving. The app stops to buffer too often, but that problem might be my phone or service provider.

Update has not helped. Always quitting & Not playing. I prefer wuot - knoxville public radio anyway. They have classical on main channer and their app works. Also WEMT app works without quitting. Wuot have your IT team consult with other stations

Sometimes the streaming stutters; it would be nice to have a longer cache. Otherwise I really like the app.

I love the content however it is very bad for losing connection while streaming and constantly popping up with the announcements of who is bringing us the streaming.

I find WPLN to be a reliable source of information for local and national news. The app makes on line listening an easy option.

Generally has been my favorite NPR station over the years and continues to be so, especially on weekday mornings.

I depend on WPLN to keep me current with local national and international news. I appreciate un biased and fact checked information

What a needed app during this time of isolation. Thank goodness for NPR.

Cuts out frequently for no apparent reason. Alittle better with newer phone
