The app works fine, but the "quiet hours" feature doesn't work. Channel 11 sends a lot of push alerts, so they can be overwhelming early in the morning, given the quiet hours feature isn't effective
Would be a great app if several things were fixed. 1st it crashes a lot. 2nd live streaming isn't saved for later viewing. Catch it live or miss it forever. Even if a half hour was uploaded it would be nice.3rd either turn off notifications or receive too many per day, most of which aren't worthy of a notification. A good example is that the Penguins just decided to do something. That kind of notification can't be turned off, which is ridiculous. Please consider changing the app for the better.
The app causes the phone's screen to stay on even if you set your phone to turn the screen off after a certain amount of time (which is the default for almost every phone). Apps that do this typically require permissions settings, which can be turned off. However, there is no way to turn off this feature in this app. Wastes an incredible amount of battery.
Overall, it's a good app. The only really annoying thing is that I have every alert turned off except newsroom alerts, and I'm getting what still feels to be about 20-30 alerts a day sometimes. Some of them are not worth alerting people about, and some are usually redundant but written in different ways at different times of the day. I finally had to just disable alerts. It's been getting ridiculous lately.
Annoying apt. Keeps going back to the beginning of the apt not to where you left me off reading. used to be in good. App keeps crashing. Have to constantly restart.
Exact and concise like their news programs! News without all the fluff of the other stations!
Keeps crashing, un/reinstalled, same. And stories don't update. I've had same story's at bottom for months.
A recent update has caused this app to not load. I get the splash screen and spinning donut. Never finishes loading. Samsung Galaxy S10. No such issues with other apps. UPDATE 9/25/2020 found that if I disable WiFi, the app connects! If I re-enable WiFi, it works for a while, then loses connectivity again. Do you have a network driver bug? Note: I have 2 WiFi networks in the house, 2.4 GB and 5 GB. Could that be an issue?
Would like "live news" coverage but like everything else
Disappointed! I use this app constantly. Since last week(week of September 14th) it won't load and tells me to check my connection. My connection is perfectly fine. My phone is a Galaxy S20. It is only 2 months old. I have removed the app, restarted my phone, and then installed the app again. It still does not work. Please fix this problem. Not sure how many people have to complain before the problem is addressed.

This app won't automatically play stories... If I'm getting ready for work I do t want yo have to stop ever 2 min to see why the news stopped.... It also doesn't seem to do anything but load it vary rarely plays well like the other wpxi app way better, update. This is by far the worst app to use I love wpxi but unfortunately i am uninstalling it for different local news application.
Videos in stories only play horizontally. You cant see the full screen, the button to go full screen doesn't work, and the app doesnt change when you rotate your phone. So you are left watching half the video in a 1x1inch block. Whats the point? I love the WPXI channel, but really what's the point in this app?
Aside from the constant and trivial news notifications, clicking to view a notification that is actually news will not always get you the article you wanted. On top of that, this app takes forever to load. While I want local news, and I like the coverage in general, this app is unusable.

Plays the commercials just fine at the beginning. Then if the new stream does start it only works for about 15 seconds and then it goes unable to load video. This app used to work really well now it's garbage. Don't waste your time.
this app is not reliable anymore. it's not my service I have verizon. whether I am on wifi or data I cant even get through a full video. the app lags takes way to long to load. not reliable at all. I'm going to channel 4's app it works so I can get my news there.
This app is nothing more than one big advertising vehicle. You are forced to watch at least 1 ad before the news. The advertisement is usually longer than the news story.. There are much better choices, don't waste your time installing it you'll be nothing but frustrated !!!!
Slow, clunky, and glitchy UI. Definitely in need of some renovation. Update: App literally does not work with my phone. I will tap notifications and the article will not open, or if it does, it won't let me scroll.
Very clear, clean, simple interface. You can easily see news stories and easily click and read those you're interested in. Not a lot of clutter to wade through like other news' apps. Stories are succinct. Thanks, WPXI.
Every video starts with an ad, then 2 to 3 seconds after the actual video starts another add loads and freezes. This happens repeatedly. Its an excercise in frustration.
The app is not opening. It just keeps loading but nothing happens. Please fix

To much advertising it's a waste of my mobile data that I pay for.
I watch the Pittsburgh morning news on this app every morning so that I do not wake up my roommate by turning on the actual TV...the picture and quality are always top notch and very few "extra" ads! Highly recommended 💜💙💜
I find it very informational when it comes to the weather.
I watch ch11 news on Dish, I like most of the anchors. Good local coverage, although I'm disappointed that I have not seen one minute of coverage of the crisis going on at the southern border since this incompetent administration has taken over. I installed your news app to see info about power outages in Westmoreland county overnight and can't find anything about that since my power has been out for over 8 hours. I will be removing the app because I find the alerts annoying (like most apps).
