Write It! Korean

[PAID VERSION] I give up. I absolutely loved the app. I was using it every single day, and learning a ton. I'd even go back to get a better score on lessons days later. Then it updated and it acted like I was a brand new user again. Frustrated, I started over. Now, it's updated and erased all of my progress AGAIN. Such a shame, it's a very simple & attractive app that was really useful for me, but I can't recommend it to anyone at all unless you enjoy losing your work. No way to save progress?

I started a few weeks ago with this app and I like this one the best out of several apps to learn hangul. The free version is low on ads and still very helpful. It teaches how to write the letters and it's not too picky where you draw the lines (no memorisation of where it wants which line, unlike another app that I tried.) The voice is clear and consistent in volume through the exercises. I got the paid version for the review option, which helped me a lot, but the free version is good too!

Love the app! The app shows you how to write the letter while pronouncing it slowly. You can redo the lessons as many times as needed along with the tests to get more comfortable. Already loving the app and can't wait to learn Korean with this! Probably not the best decision on my part as I am also learning Spanish and German but hey. I think it'll be worth it in the end. Great app!!!

The drawing feature works so well - it is much better than in drops. Also the learning curvature is in my opinion higher than in drops. Long story short, you get a very very good app for small money. Drops is also good tho, but much more expensive and not necessarily better.

Well though out and well made app for learning Hangul characters and sounds. Even has the option to disable audio (which is important, but the ads still have sounds, so minus one star). Occasional ads are no problem, and I'd pay a few bucks to get rid of them, but probably not $7...minus one star for being overpriced.

Practical, effective, clear, user friendly, easy, great! I can go back to any lesson and practice sounds again. Lessons are in bite-size chunks that fit into any free 5 minutes. Sounds are spoken clearly as I trace the letters. It's a brilliant introduction to this great language.

I find this app quite useful for establishing and testing the basics of the Korean alphabet. I think it would be really useful to be able to hide the romanization for better reinforcing and testing. Also I think being able to tests at the end that were a mix of everything you've learned would be great. And then I'd give five stars.

I'm editing my review because the low volume problem was on my side (had to adjust the *media* volume in settings). I really like the app. It's great for beginners. It gives you information in simple steps, let's you practice and test your knowledge.

i like it so much!!! helps me enhance my korean reading and there are less ads than expected actually... I thought there'd be like one every try but no, actually. It only has about 1 ad every level regardless of how many times you've tried it. It would be more perfect if they added words like colors and numbers tho...

I like the format, but most of the pronunciation is really, really bad. When the bot pronounces some of the characters, it's either somewhat off or not even remotely close to the sounds they're supposed to make. Still a nice app to practice writing.

It's a amazing app for beginners. It tells what sound does the letter make and teaches you the correct way to write it. lt has test also. It's not like other apps, it's like a game. After every lesson it gives you stars. If you get less stars you can give the test again. I really love this app.😁😁😁

Overall its amazing all the graphics and all are so convenient. Everything is perfect. But it will be more interesting if you add some phrases to learn so that the learners should do some extra fun and educational games. I suggest to uptade it with these facilities. Overall its a great app for learning

Great resource for learning a language. This and duolingo are making Korean much more fun to pick up :D I'm more consistent in daily lessons with these apps on hand. I can whip them out whenever I have a minute or an hour to myself and challenge my nascent skills. A touch of competition goes a long way to catalyzing my motivation. The leaderboard on Duo keeps me pushing harder than I would without it. The timed quality in Write It! similarly has me running lessons assiduously.

Learnt the alphabet with this app. I was able to absorb it easily compared to other methods. Its simplistic design and writing feature really helped with the learning. By the time I completed it, I had most of the alphabet memorized. This is a must have app for a beginner imo. I'm glad I came across it. Thank you.

I love these apps! They easily outperform the leading language sites like Duolingo and Babbel because those two always just jump to sentences when you barely even know the alphabet, this series walks you through the whole alphabet letter by letter until you get the hang, then it challenges you with sentences! Learning Korean has never been more fun, same with other languages I'm learning like French and Japanese! Toss the other language apps, these ones are the way to go! Thank you so much devs!

There's an option to turn off the romanization and use sound only! Perfect. This is a great tool. I've been struggling to remember everything and this is a great way to force it in my memory, without forcing a romanization that just confuses me.

Well I probably put more than a few hours into this over the course of 3 days and finally completed all 20 lessons with 3 stars. I'm very pleased with this app. I do think it could use a little bit more polish for 7 dollars - and maybe a few quality of life features like a timer to see how long you've been studying each lesson and total time spent in the app and maybe a setting to remind you to practice daily or once an hour (up to you). I feel confident that I know the korean alphabet now.

this app helps me so much in learning hangul. it can shows you how to write every word properly, from one side to another side, from the beginning until the end. i'd like to request something for this app in the future. if it's available, please add some kinda test in the end, using all of the materials that we have been learning. thank you!
