Write Japanese

Great idea and very useful for writing kanji. The free version worked like a dream on level 1. BUT the full version has bugs in the progress displays. It seems to have got stuck on level 1 and does not record your progress on higher levels. What a shame, as it is such a useful tool. You can still use it on all levels, but it doesn't fully work as was intended. I reported the bug - no response. :-(

I'll uninstall and stick with the original: "Write it! Japanese" because this app continuously asks for permission to access my Google account even after I've continuously denied permission! There are too many good similar apps - I'm uninstalling and moving on! Try "Write It! Japanese" for a good similar app.

This is still the best app I've found for practising writing kanji freehand, and the 'override' feature is really useful. However I mostly use this app for the SRS feature, which I want to let me add new characters whenever I want, not just when there are fewer than 100 cards in review.

update after three weeks of use: overall it's okay, especially for the hiragana. however, I have found that it's missing a few (minor) things in katakana. overall, it's a good app to practice writing japanese. however, I highly recommend watching YT videos to learn them and only using this app to practice and memorize. ***old review*** this is the only app I found that would let me mix hiragana and katakana AND let me write it from scratch (instead of multiple choice)

The app is good, but there are others out there that cover many many more kanji for a similar priced purchase. Furthermore, there's no kanji search function in order to create your own list, which makes it a huge pain.

Thank you. Just bought full access. Think this app goes very well in connection with Obenkyo and Kanji Tree. Is it possible to add info about Kanji components? As additional and optional sheet after one's with Kanji information? Well won't low mark, but it's something with sinc. Actually it doesn't work.

Fantastic app to practice Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji with while learning Japanese. I've submitted bug reports in the past and I was really glad to see the developer has fixed them with the latest updates.

A lot of the answers are wrong, I was using this just to review what I already know. I don't know what is going on with the character for fu, the app wants me to draw it totally differently from what I know it to looks like. Also it only has hirigana, you have to pay for everything else.

Helpful for beginners such as myself because the entire hiragana alphabet is available, plus the study list customization is a great way to focus on certain kana. Thank you!

Great app but where is 誰?? I've looked many times but don't see it. Seems like a pretty important kanji to not be there

I would like to give 5 stars but there is some unclarity in the review of my drawings which is really frustrating at times because it slows my progress.

Don't go full board on this(overdo it), as then it'll likely hurt your wrists and fingers. It isn't real life brush work. But a little here and there daily will do amazing things.

This app has done more to help me remember kanji than any other app, book, or teaching method. fun and useful!

This app used to be so convenient before the last update. Now the practice set and log only shows N5 kanji no matter which folder i choose to view/practice.
