Well, the concept is nice but as I continue playing, the game itself is becoming annoying because the pacing is very slow. There's almost no event. I was hooked but not because I enjoyed it but because I am a very goal oriented person. And the goals in this game is really really difficult to achieve since the money system is just too much. The things I need to buy are expensive, yet, the money I'm getting for all the hardworks I'm doing (esp. watching ads) are too little. Very frustrating.
This game has great potential, but its design leaves a lot to be desired. Music is repetitive. UI is not very intuitive. And its VERY grindy, even when using the ads to earn money. You painstakingly save money to buy equipment, skills or supplies? Oh wait, the random algorithm wants you to spend a small fortune on lunch. Another several weeks of saving? Psyche! You've been bitten by a spider for the tenth time!
I think I've played long enough to give a solid review! Some things need some work - the English isn't great - There is a massive jump in prices in properties, and requirements in jobs. - It needs a name generate option (it gets old naming everything pretty quickly) - if you look away for a sec, you can lose a week - the exams can be frustrating But otherwise, it's really great; kills quite a bit of time. It's a pretty good, if basic, simulation game.
It's good. There are a few problems and suggestions: When I edit my stories, the text randomly glitches out. I have a phone where the home button is in the screen, instead of outside it. It makes it so that if the bottom bar is stuck shown, it makes it hard to do the Book Seller job. Maybe raise the buttons higher? When you are editing a book, put the title, so I don't forget what I'm writing. Maybe even make it so that you can have book series and organize your books into them?
It is a wonderful game. It just needs some edits like : if you could save your story and edit it afterwards. Some minor grammatical mistakes. It would be even better if you could add the guessing feature while writing the story. Besides this few errors, the game is able to fulfill the promises it makes. Great work done by the developing team. Hope for future updates.
it's interesting and kinda fun. i really enjoy the base concept and the base functions and options. but I really am thrown off by the awkward and incorrect/broken English. for a game about writing, there are a lot of typos. but most importantly some of the answers and options to the "academic exam" portion are just straight up wrong, leaving me to get low marks on things that are verified correct, and right on things that aren't factual but the closest i could find to the right answer. pls fix.
Really enjoyed the game for the first hour or so, I got more and more frustrated with the education system that's required for your character to progress in the game. If one question is answered wrong there's a 10% decrease in your characters grade and it never went back up so my character progressively got worse grades while maintaining 4/5 on the "exams" and it was incredibly frustrating. Other than that I was enjoying the game very much so it's too bad the reward system is terrible.
Cute graphics and idea. Doesn't have much to keep you playing though. The various components aren't very connected. For instance, why buy a car? The book writing feels like a side hustle more than the main career. That might change later, but the balance is off for the points needed to advance and with how repetitive the weeks are I think I've seen most of it. Really cute but could use some more polish.
Really cute game, a little underdeveloped, but nevertheless, still quite enjoyable! I think there should be more options for customizing your in-game character and more options for increasing your writing points/speeds (such as enlisting a friend, an acquaintance, a stranger, or even a professional to edit your work to improve the book). Overall, I really enjoy this game so far! :)
The music keeps playing even if not on the game, for example it is playing right now as I speak. Watching the ad slows down the game. It takes long to load the ad and even longer to get the reward. These are tiny inconviences I know, but it takes away from the experience. Also, I'm sure it has been said before but it is ironic that a game about writing has typos in it. It is "knew" not "new" it is "genius" not "genuis." Come on.
Update: Its not playable after the second job due to the formatting of the buttons being under the Android bar. Would of loved to played but its not functional on my phone... Could be really good, but there a few things that make it less fun to play. The bottom buttons are cut off on Android. The school questions are very confusing and a lot of the answers and wrong. With a little more work this could be a really fun sim.
I mean it's cute, but in the long-run, it doesn't hold up to other sims I've played. It's hard to progress, and even when I did get anywhere, I was heavily dependent on the ads to give me that last extra boost to make it. Sadly, I got bored pretty quickly as the in-game time flew by without much to show for it. My book scores always stunk and I never "completed the contract" no matter how closely I followed the given instructions. That being said, it has potential, but needs a lot of polish.
It's a good conception but I have two complaints. When you take exams some of the answers are wrong. Please get an editor on that. Also, can't press the bottom choices in second job as book seller and I have to do some fancy finger dance to get the day skip option, or even pressing the "next" button to work. Insanely frustrating. Please fix. I really like the game so far and I don't like just up and exiting the game out of irritation cause of game controls.
Very promising game. The only issue i have with it is that things -such as property, transportation, upgrades, education, etc...- cost a LOT of money, and it takes while to earn much... Eventually you get bored trying to save enough to buy something you need. Its also difficult to progress in the jobs after Book Seller (again, one requirement to progress is to own a specific thing, which costs A LOT.). Overall, pretty good. Very promising. Cheaper things would make this game wonderful.
It's a very good start but has a lot to be looked into it. To begin with the exam questions either don't make any sense or are very confusing. I double checked many of them and found that I was right or the right answer had not been a choice. Also the book store job is a little confusing, there is also very little point in playing it since you are always guaranteed $200 with the first job but can make no money with that one. Other wise lots of potential and fun to play.
Lots of typos, but I honestly love this app so much! I find it entertaining, and I love the type of apps where you add points to a certain subject (example:start with 10 points, divide 10 points into 4 subjects, the more points a subject has, the better it does). You can also make your own characters and, when you edit, write your own book. You can get pets, in a relationship, they are interactive jobs, and more! 9/10!
Kind of boring after a while. Multiple grammatical errors and the English sometimes makes questions hard to understand. All the upgrades are expensive so you'll be doing the same thing over and over to grind money to even get close to making good books. Ultimately it's a good concept, but the execution really kills it before it gets off the ground.
The game has a lot of good elements. It is clear that there was a lot of thought put into the minigames and mechanics. But what undermines all that hard work is that the Android system buttons will not dissapear while in game. A lot of the buttons that you need to press during job minigames are at the bottom of the screen. This is such a problem that after just downloading it tonight before I had to quit out of sheer frustration. Hope this gets resolved soon.
I just started playing and so far I am liking this. I just have a suggestion and one problem. Suggestion- Instead of an in-game clock, have it "turn based". While I am getting the hang of it, I feel very pressured for time. Problem- the watch ads for extra money isn't working for me. I've watched like 4 ads but I didn't get the money.
A very nice game, sort of a clicker type but much more interesting (than some at least). It has a nice way of working, and I really like the job system that's in place. Quickly got me hooked. The only thing is that the graphics are very, very simplistic, which while not bad - assuming that's the style the developers were going for, is sort of throwing me off. Worth installing.
Easy to get into. Fun and somehow fast paced early on, pretty monotonous later. You definitely will get lots of trouble in the beginning but it can't be helped. I like the way that the game becomes much easier the more you understand it, just like your writer gets better the more experience he gets. Other than that, the quizzes are pretty fun. However, some titles seem somehow mistranslated so you will only get them right after some attempts.
Odd game, maybe fun for a few minutes, but gets very repetitive and dull. I was excited for the bookstore minigame where you recommended books for people but it was either super easy or didnt make much sense and you had to just guess (For example Twilight and Breaking Dawn are both books about vampires but only "Twilight" works). Way too slow and not satisfying to play.
So far the game is great but I wish the buttons were higher. I don't know if this is a problem on all platforms or just Google Pixels but the button for some prompts is at the very bottom of the screen and my phone thinks I'm trying to open Google. I have no idea how to fix this and forcing my phone to not display system buttons is just too complicated for me.
In a sea of terrible apps, this one is a breath of fresh air! There aren't a lot of ads (compared to most that is) and no in-game purchases. That being said it isn't perfect. Navigating the menus isn't always easy. Some things are very hard to find. Also I wish that money that you made from businesses would be collected automatically instead of having to manually collect the money each week. Also I wish that you would progress just a little faster.
I've played this game a number of times before, and I've liked it everytime. The only thing I could complain about would be (according to my memory), how it is hard to write a long story when the words can't be seen after a certain point. There comes a time, once you've written to the point of covering the phone screen, that you can't see the words you write. However, overall, the game is legitimately and genuinely great. (P.S I wonder if they've (you the developers) updated that little aspect.
