Join our growing community of writers and readers! Connect directly with writers and other readers via chat or through the comments section. You can share your own writings or other published writings through your social media accounts, email or text. I've been using this app for quite a while. Are there tweaks that could improve it? Possibly. However, considering it is a free app with only unobtrusive ads for income, the design is wonderful. For those worrying about losing work: I switched to Amazon devices where the app is not available, and I panicked! but a quick message to the app's Facebook page, and and even quicker response from the developer, led me to the accompanying website where they helped me log in and I now use Writer's Outlet from there. I feel the app hasn't lived up to the developers personal vision of a high traffic online community, but even to take that vision out of it, still leaves you with a solid well designed software, where you can create publicly or privately. Well made!
Thanks for the previous reply, i have a another problem regarding the amount of chapters i can make before it suddenly stops allowing me too review, edit or create more characters and shows a black screen instead, no matter how much i restart the app or redownload it, it keeps doing it. The only thing is too delete what i done and start over but it keeps on doing it when i reach about around 11 or 12 characters. Can you look into this too please? I hope it just ain't me having this problem
it was very uncomfortable for me. every ad it asks if i want no ads. but there are ads every five seconds. it had goos content but i just personally wouldnt install it. there isnt very many options. there are also some things that arent even a book. they are like one sentence. i got it so i could read and create books on the same app. but it didnt really work out like that.
This app keeps crashing when the publish button is clicked for pdf uploads. Also, it is generally unstable as there is Always a glitch or two in every action to be carried out. It Has great potential, but the devolopers Should 1ST Focus on getting it to work seamlessly, before anything else. Thanks.
I like this it's pretty good . The only thing I have to say is , I hate trying to select a file because I can press it and press it and press it and it says file not selected when I wish to write it's that one file button that doesn't register that I'm touching it really takes a long time and I'm not exaggerating . Only thing I don't really like, other than you can't add pictures of characters in stories and books.
Trying to be fair. The app itself is wonderful. The community is lacking for the monthly payment for the removal of adds.LOVE the variety. Do not appreciate the lack of user friendly interface. Even with the FAQ it's hard for most to figure out how to scroll and finish. The Community is diverse but seems way smaller and less interactive because the view length of poem shares is too short. A revamp of the home page would be nice. Overall, one of the best. Not trying to be hypercritical.
App is good, but the app stops working at some loading screen, and crashes or stops responding when I'm at "My Profile" or when I'm trying to insert a cover image for my book. I would appreciate if the developers put some effort and fix these problems so that I can enjoy a fluent writing.
This app, contains the best community of Writer's with low and high experience I have ever met. Thanks to the time I spent on here, I have been able to tweak my performance by alot. It may come off as a complex interface, but once you get used to it, you'll find it is actually quite convenient.
Please allow guest browsers to mod notification permissions. Keeping this app despite nothing (!) actually showing in all lists because some of the notifications sound interesting. Maybe to reduce spam, have an inapp (optionally unread items only. preferably with remove and undo accidental remove) notifications list and notify the number of new additions.
The briefest description I can give on Writer's Outlet is "Writers Paradise". It is an app designed for writers. a place where writers of different countries, ethnic groups, races, different walks of life come together to do the purest form of art - writing. It is a place of inspiration, motivation and encouragement. It is a place of growth and challenge, creativity and excellence. In short, it is the place to be for writers.
Pretty good, it's kind of like a surreal or vague experience, like I've been here before. It's a nice little app to read stories and I love curling up on a rainy day and reading some stories before doing other things.
App Is Nice. The improvements are better. But I'm still having some problems with opening up my books with the new update. The option is completely inexistent and no matter how I try the books just aren't there, and I've come a long way with them. Please fix! Other than that its better!
I love the app and all, but it dosen't save drafts. i was almost finished with my short story and then i exited out of it for a few min. And when i went back in, it was erased...please add a draft section :)
I love the app however it keeps on stopping while I'm writing and I couldn't even publish a chapter which makes very disappointed😡🤬... I wanted to practice because I'm participating in the Collins Big Cat Competition 2019... So I wanted to practice but I cant if it keeps on stopping. Oh, and I have a Samsung Galaxy J4 so I dont think it's supposed to be a problem. PLZ FIX! Other than that I really enjoyed it. Plz answer. THANK YOU!
Good app, great idea. But there needs to be an offline mode because my internet is so bad that sometimes, even when I'm sitting RIGHT NEXT TO THE ROUTER, work doesn't save or I can't find work I've saved.
most unhelpful app ever for a new writter. tried to write a few pages of a book then had to stop for the moment to come back and find out you can't re-edit already saved content. Suggestion for the creator maybe a tutorial for all new users that join this app. I will be deleting this app for it is of no use to me if it can't provide the users need to edit.
This app is amazing. It's just what have searched for over and over. Finally, have found what am looking for today😋. Sweet right but i found out something painful that i won't be able to use it for long as many users aren't in there yet. I think i need to find a look alike app to support this app so am on the search. Please download this app if you're a writer that wants to explore. Bye!
I have lots of problems first, I can't type when I'm writing something and i can't upload a photo as an cover with out it crashing. Otherwise it's a good app and i like it just a bit buggy
Terms of service, "we may terminate your account without prior notice for any reason whatsoever". Don't risk your intellectual property by posting it in this app. Popup screen-blocking adds every twenty seconds that take two clicks to remove. Poorly designed interface, horrible buggy scrolling and viewing of work filled with even more adds. Don't waste your time people this developer doesn't care about writers just making money off soaking you with adds until you cough up a more dough.
It's okay I guess, but the interface is confusing to use, and the layout is messy. There's no real inventive for people to read what's posted either.
Never ever use this shtty program!!! Lost half of beautiful story, does not allow to save untill completed and published. No text recovery: you shut the screen: loose everything you wrote, even the program is still running.
This app is a total waste of my time! I spent hours in a chapter of my story, and it didnt have a save button! So when I exited that chapter, and went back to it, it was gone! This deserves worst app and poorly made app of the year award.
Could be great but the constant "rate this writing" on everything you read is so annoying. So much so that I deleted my account. Oh and fix the birthday selection...you should not have to scroll through months and tens of years.
I love this app the new design is great I am having a problem I can't edit any of my chapters anymore perhaps that's a bug that's what the app if so can you please please fix it I'm working on a story I can't open my stories at all so if you could fix that I will be grateful.
It's an awesome place to start when making songs,books ect. Because you can get feed back and idea's! Wish there were groups or chatrooms but other then that it's awesome
This is an amazing platform to put your writing out there. The members are supportive and amazing, the app itself is easy to use, all the way around this is the best outlet I've seen yet for writers. Love it!!!
I've been having a great time using this app so far! It's simple and easy to use in my opinion. But recently I can't write anything. Whenever I press the write button to create a new chapter it doesn't work. I would really like some help with it but I'm loving it so far.
It's a good app. But my biggest issue with it is that when you write something and complete it. If you go view it to read ir you can't see the whole story or what you wrote because the edit, share etc tools at the bottom of the screen restrict what you've wrote. So you can only scroll down so much before your story gets cut off. I think thats an issue that needs resolving. Please sort it.
