Local weather info and alerts are accurate and great. Using the app is terrible though. I understand needing ads, but spacing them within the app like, one bit of weather info, one ad, one bit of weather info, one ad... It makes it frustrating and impossible to quickly get the weather info you need. Every page is so busy and cluttered you can barely sort out what is weather info and what isn't. It would also be great to have a more customizable widget.
I had just recently updated the app, and though its says it fixes the bugs, the app still is bugging out. I'm just getting weather reports from six hours ago. I'm also trying to check the radar for precipitation, and its not even loaded properly. The service isn't all great where I am, but I can at least get the precipitation to pull up every time even before the update. But its not all bad. The weather reports are accurate even still. And the weekly forecast, as well. And the alerts do come in.
Always timely with alerts, updates if conditions change, and you can even watch the news video forecasts too. I think the radar has a 3 minute or so delay, so it's *almost* live. You can adjust the view to see the whole country, so you can see what's coming our way.
Hangs up and crashes frequently. When I start the app, it immediately stops. I start it again and it runs slow. I am not able to add the last box to the quick pick feature on the right side of the screen. Storm tracker 2 HD has been stuck on the same radar for at least three weeks.
Still can't get the android notifications to work. There is no longer a none option , so the only option is silent, which the app gives instructions for. However the Android system overrides the in app sound as silent, so the app doesn't alert to any severe weather. It's really annoying this still is not fixed.
This app used to show the live news which is very useful during severe weather. Now it shows a few minutes of news and then stops. The screen must be refreshed and each time, an ad plays before resuming, but not from the place it stopped. Extremely annoying!!
Wish there was a way to acknowledge a weather alert and NOT recieve 20 more notifications of the SAME alert. I KNOW that there is a freeze warning until sometime tomorrow morning. I do not need to be told 20+ times. I may be exaggerating. I have not actually counted the alerts. Just know that I turned notification volume way low.

I use this app all of the time. We have a boat on the lake and it's sooooo helpful there. It's saved us from danger by boating into a storm many times. The radar is very accurate when showing rain and lightning. I also use it to determine when I can put my plants in and out of the freezing temperatures and how to dress my granddaughter for school. Love it!
New app much worse than older one. Radar harder to get a good view. Radar display not interactive from News page like it used to be. More ads in the way. Display "too busy". Have used for years but dropping in favor of another app. WSB blew it on this upgrade. Like I need a half page of Katie Wall to show 3 lines of text?
After update, my temperature in my notification window disappeared then when I tried opening the app it wouldn't open it kept saying"this app closed, try & open again". So I've uninstalled it & I'm fixing to reinstall to see if it corrects itself. If not I'll go with another weather app!! This is very disappointing as I really enjoyed this app for my local weather conditions 😑
I've had to uninstall and reinstall multiple times due to app freezing, at times when we rely on it most -- like tonight, when severe weather and tornadoes are forecast. I've also contacted support over issues with the radar image, without response. Retuning to another weather app.
Does not send alerts and the live stream stops a few minutes in. Only way to get it is to shut down the app and restart. Then you have to sit through an ad again. Really great when an active tornado warning is going on.
I loved this App & use it frequently, recommended to everyone I know! BUT in the past month the radar STOP working propertly, like many other users mentioning here, the SAME clouds are showing in the SAME exact place for over a month now!! I uninstalled & reinstalled the App. Restarted my phone few times & still no change! PLEASE FIX THIS BUG ASAP! IT WAS A GREAT APP. We NEED it BACK 😭 Please Do something! We're all waiting for fixes. Some people's lives depend on it! Please make it work again
It's everything I'd want, plus allot more that a I'm not even aware about because it actual works so WELL! 🔹🔷💠🔷🔹I would say extremely well because I've never run into any burning fires from this Incredible Reliable! NewsSource! I guarantee, if it were not so awesome people would be standing in line throwing gasoline on the remnants of the bonfire they started just to make their displeasure gain attention! Seems there's always little fires everywhere! Dedicated, Determined, and Dependable!❣️
App is too buggy. Many times it takes forever for the data to load, and sometimes the radar won't load. Not good for a weather app in a tornado area. The other weather apps seem to work just fine.
terrible new format visually. please give us the option to keep the old format. there is too much text, too much scrolling not glanceable anymore. need glasses to read. looks like every other weather app out there. and who gets rid of pollen tab in midst of atlanta spring? disconnected developers who care not for users. that is who. infuriating.
this app. is pretty close on giving you the heads-up on where the storms are in the area. it's a good app. too have on your phone just in case you loose power in your area you can still have a way to keep up with the weather. thanks for a great app.
I only use this during severe weather, and recently it's been completely useless for that. If there's a tornado warning in my area, I don't want to watch a 15 second ad before finding out if I'm in imminent danger. The live feed also cuts out after 15 seconds or so, at which point you have to restart the app and watch another ad to start streaming again. It's dangerous and ridiculous, and I'll be switching my default severe weather checks to a different station.
