A "New & Improved" app rolled out in February/March 2022. It is a dud! DEFINITELY A HUGE STEP BACKWARDS!!! Maybe two or three!!! The older version opened on current news stories. New version? Good luck if you want to see news. You'll have to drill down through two menus and then you get only the very specific news from that result. Forget about getting the top news stories (local, national, and international) without a painstaking search. Miserable experience; horrible update.

Absolutely horrible now. If it ain't broke don't fix it.. you have rendered this app almost useless. It is RIDDLED with ads, you click one thing, before you know it you've clicked on an ad. Ten clicks later I STILL can't get to the live radar. As soon as I post this review, I'm un-installing the app.

This app is only useful for the notifications. Don't try to open any links, they won't open. And, if you try to open it and search for the link you tried to open, you can't find it. The user interface is terrible and convoluted.

The app has too many options once you click on. When you want weather it brings up alot of other different other things. I personally liked the older website alot better than this current one.

Multiple notices on same subject all at same time. Click on notification and app goes to buffering and never comes up. Other times app goes to advertising page and dies.

This app loads way too slowly. Local news from the other news apps work so much better. what do you have in this that takes a month of Sundays to load?

Old app was great. Then they changed it all and now it's terrible. It's basically unusable.

I uninstalled it. The 4Warn wether app was great, but this app is a complete failure. Too many ads, to many annoying and unimportant notifications that no one cares about, doesn't work properly half the time, and the weather coverage itself has gone down the toilet as well. I don't like to be an online hater, and I generally try to find a positive way if expressing things in an online forum, but this app really needs to be done away with and replaced with, at the very least, the old app...

Nope. Tried this app out again after the update-slick and fancy looking UI, but it's too busy and hard to navigate. The old version was simpler and it was much easier to find your needed information. Basic functions don't work- I've been trying to repeatedly upload a photo for the Heroes gallery and every bloody photo and video upload link is inactive. I fill out all the info and press upload;nothing. We can only submit photos via this stupid app, and it doesn't flipping work. Bah. Uninstalling.

Love it ... BUT I wish they had a SIREN sound that THEY PROVIDE to alert for severe weather in the middle of the night.

It's not News 4!!! It's this app!!! There is no link to be able to ask questions about a problem. I have weather alerts from several days..NO way to delete them once you have read them! Older stories I've already read, also NO way to delete, that was same with previous app. Adds, adds, ADDS!!!! The new app is so cluttered, it's like it is all just hitting you in the face! Picked push notifications, as I utilized with previous app.NOW, it sends off notification sounds! Can't say more no room!!

Too many ads, I just want the weather. Not the news.

Please give us back our old 4Warn Weather app. This one is awful! I'm going to WKRN now until you put it back the way it was!

Bring back the solo weather app. It clearly has a very loyal following. I'm deleting this one because I never use it, but I'm holding onto my weather app until someone up the corporate food chain sees the light and brings it back. This one is too cluttered and clunky for those of us who simply want to see the local weather.

For several years I consulted the WSMV Wx app for my local weather. Just recently the old Wx app failed to respond. Their website loudly touts a new Wx app. So I installed and used this, the new app...and then uninstalled it. The new app is chock full of adverts and layered with obfuscated navigation. Weather data are buried under pop-up ads and wound around embedded commercials. I'm searching for a suitable local replacement, but the Weather Channel app seems to be the best option.

Great app! Love it! Already have an account created. However, I seem to be having some technical issues. With the app itself. Especially, when using the search box for recent stories. When I find the most recent story. I click on it. Then takes me to a blank page with no info displayed.

While it gives lots of updates, the notification tone cannot be adjusted. It is loud and disruptive. When it went off at 4:30 this morning and I lost an hour of sleep, I decided it was time to uninstall the app. It would have been helpful if it could be set for only certain alerts and not every bit of "breaking news".

@WSMV I watch on my phone and it will not go into landscape mode witch gives me a headache and I'm going to have to delete this app and start watching another Nashville news channel if it's not fixed soon. Everything else works great! Love trhe comrodery between news reporters, weather is more accurate than others and enjoy watching this news channel other than this viewing issue. It worked fine (for years) before the latest app update. Please fix this problem soon.

4 warn weather app was perfect because it was clear to read and gave accurate descriptions of incoming storms and alerts. This app is an ad ridden mess that does more to hinder the experience than to provide any useful improvements from the previous app. Going to switch to Channel 2 weather

I used to have the 4 Warn Wx app for wsmv this worked great, now that app isn't showing me daily or hourly forecasts, I went to update it but it is not available anymore I had to download the wsmv app, it is slower and terrible to work with if you are outside Nashville. You can locate your area but it doesn't allow you to default your settings. This app for weather is not as good at all compared to the previous app. It is harder to use as well. Sorry. Too many ads. Hard to follow stories. WSMX was a great app. No longer gives hourly and daily weather reports. Went with this app. Horrible weather. Much harder to follow. Doesn't give the direction of individual storms. No longer includes individual hail, wind, rotation, etc. Hate this app. Will probably change to channel 2 or 5.

I got tired of getting news updates then clicking on the notification only to be taken to their video stream that had nothing to do with the news article that I was interested in. Also, got news updates with more information added to the subject but when i clicked the notification it didn't have any of the updated information in the news article. Uninstalled after 6 months of that garbage.

I used the app daily and liked it for the most part until it updated and they changed the app. Do not like it at all now. Hard to navigate, and very much hate the waze traffic map. So hard and conplicated to understand. Liked the app the way it was before. So i deleted it and went with channel 5 !

This is a pretty good app, except for all of the really lame stuff it sends notifications for. Not anything really newsworthy, mostly stuff like one team or another scored. It's a shame that this station that I normally watch every day has such a sorry app. I think I'll keep the weather and try the news from another Nashville area station.

I deleted this app bc it forced me to do an update, and then it was no longer just the weather but ALL the news. Thankfully a different local station uses one similar to the original WSMV app, that ONLY gives weather details. If it ain't broke don't fix it.🙂

Had a old version which was far easier to Navigate and much easier to get weather information. Get rid of the advertisements. Keep clicking not interested in the ad but keeps popping up.

Liked the old app better. It was easier to use and you could rotate your phone for landscape viewing. Dont like this version so i may have to switch to fox. Very disappointed.
