The app tells you which member of Severe Weather Center 9 crafted the local forecast. National applications that come pre-loaded on your phone don’t have local experts focused solely on getting the local forecast right every day.

- Place a location pin precisely where you want it for a specific address or any position on a map. When saving a location, just press and hold the pin and then drag it to the exact location you want.

Channel 9 will always be my choice, in news, local stories and especially the weather. I also have the News App. What I like most is you're able to customize alerts that you would like to be notified of and which alarm sounds and notifications you receive. Alarms come through nicely and that gives me comfort, knowing I may be able to get to safety, if needed. And, they always go live when a weather warning is in the broadcasting area and stay with us until the threats pass. Thank you, WSOC! 💕
I use this app everyday. The weather report is reliable and helps me plan.
Can't click on alert icons for details - used to be able to click on shaded flood areas for details, also the icons for tornadoes, hail, severe storms, etc - when you clicked on them, more important details would pop up. Hasn't worked in over a week, not good with all the tornadoes we've been having. Can you please fix it so it's interactive again? FYI - WBTV, WSOC and WCNC all use this same app, same version. All have the same issue, no interactive alert icons.
I would have given a 5 star, but I HATE the vibrate feedback you get while using the radar! When you change filters on the map it vibrates & again when you play the radar at the end of the loop. It is So Annoying! Please get rid of this feature or at least give us an option to disable it.
This app doesn't work all that well. It won't show alerts when I'm suppose to be able to see them. Just a red bar and a message can't load text alert at this time
Accurate and informative
I would like to be able to see dew points, barometric pressure, etc. Otherwise it's a pretty accurate app for our area.
This is worse app. It freezes, won't show updates. It's too work fine now it's trash. I have u Uninstalled and try to reload thinking it would clear the app. NO.
Nice radar sweep visualization. No weather showing up though. Screen shows no rain. It's raining outside.
This app does not work do not get weather alerts or anything I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and do not get weather alerts if you look at the setup on the app they're using now it's the same app as all the other stations in the area use and they do not work either the old app was the only app I had that gave me weather alerts but now the update to this app is like everyone else I get none because it's the same app as all the other stations use.
Dismal!!! Reading thru watches, alerts, etc. Is next to impossible as you only have a third of screen to scroll thru each advice. Sorry I reinstalled.
The radar is not impressive. There are other radar apps that can be expanded to show the hurricane when it is in 5 or more states away.
I always look to wsoc-tv for my weather. I use it very frequently to see what's going on with the weather in our area so I can be advised if any serious conditions arise. I can count on WSOC.
Some times its very slow loading, and has a lot of pop up adds. But I took care of that, switched to Duck Duck Go..
Great when it works. It's one I use a lot but since the last update, it often doesn't load. Just sits with no information.
Very detailed weather app. Minute to minute updates. often says it's raining alert seconds before it starts. great at pinpointing local weather.
Won't display local weather. Ads come up fine. Uninstalled and installed again. No help.
Works great radar always. Correct as well as the forecasts for my neighborhood definitely recommend
Absolutely terrible, I can never check the weather. It never loads! Only app on my phone that doesn't work!!!
When trying to get live life-treating information about the weather, the last thing one expect is to have to sit through 30 secs of adds everytime a video is started.
App is always showing News and weather a day late. Today's weather is Fridays when today is Saturday. The app is slow repeating and just a mess.
Channel 9 Eyewitness news and Weather has the best News and Weather Forecast in the USA. I grew up watching its news and Weather Forecast and I turned 60 this year. I was born in Charlotte, NC and have lived hear for 60 years. They have the best all around forcast in Weather and this App, better than anyone in this Nation. So watch Channel 9. Thank you. KMY
