Using Smart Water Sensor with Android. Useless. Does not send push notification or any alert stating the sensor is in contact with water. When you go into app it shows the alert in history, so I know it is sensing the water and just not sending the notification. Other issue is that when you test network connection, it always fails. Doesn't matter if I am standing right beside the router. Yet I know it is connected because the alert history is accurate. So in the end this product and app are both useless. No point in having a sensor to warn you of leaks that doesn't actually warn you of leaks.

the unit looks solid and it connects 2 Wi-Fi . the audible alarm works fine but it lacks texting and email alerts to the end user. The wasserstein phone application shows when there is leakage but there is no consistent audible alert on the phone that would wake someone up from sleep or who was not paying attention. if a firmware update to this device would allow texting the end-user that would make this a five star rating

I have a water sensor. As with others here, the device appears to pair only after multiple attempts. Then after it it does, within app it appears the device is not connected but sensor does trigger notification. So, technically I guess it works but very difficult to trust it will when actually needed.

I like the app and the leak detectors. What is insane is every time I look at rhe app on my phone I've been logged out thus no alarms cone through. We have 4 people in our house who should get an alarm and 3 days ago I tested it and not one of us got it. The local alarm is not very loud either. We would barely hear it from the basement unless standing at the basement door. I emailed them so let's see of there's a solution and then the app will get the 5 stars it deserves .

Can't use the app without verifying an email, and it won't send a verification email. Checked my spam folder, etc., and the Wasserstein webpage setup an account using this email, but I can't use this account for the app. Garbage app that's only purpose is to collect your info. Returning the water sensor.

Instructions are a bit weak. After two attempts sensor connected to internet and water detection & notifications worked perfectly. Overall, given limited time using it, it is a good product for the price.

App logs itself out without notification resulting in no alerts being sent to phone. When I log back in it forgets all of the water sensors and they have to be added again, which is a tedious process when you have 10 sensors. This does me no good if I am not getting remote alerts for water leaks.

Worst app I have ever used. It refuses to connect to the device yet when I test it in water it does generate a 'leak detection', but this does not instill any confidence in that it will truly notify me when I have a real issue. This app needs to be fixed now.

App does bare minimum. No options to change notification sound. Clear history. Is not very user friendly. If there was another app out there i would definitely try it.

Used to work but when I changed my wifi the device never connected to the new network. I was unable to change networks. For an inexpensive device, it was nearly impossible for me to navigate and update the wifi. 😳

Really disappointing performance. The device logs itself out and doesn't send notifications. The app is very primitive with minimal or very little options...

This app is awful. Major features don't work. Can't enable/disabled the motion sensor. Can't pair with Google home or Google assistant, so voice commands can't work. Useless.

The entire reason I use this app is for their sumo pump smart plug and sensor. It is supposed to count the number of cycles, time on, water pumped and it doesn't properly count cycles per day or the volume of water. It only states 1 cycle today even though my pump runs every hour or so. Garbage app and therefore useless sensor.

App was unable to connect to my Android phone. Android is on 5GHz. App only wants 2.4GHz. My router is dual-band (5GHz/2.4GHz) with both bands sharing the same SSID name. I cannot find a way to separate the two bands in my Comcast Xfinity router in order to rename the 2.4GHz band as its own network. No trouble connecting my 2.4GHz printer automatically to my laptop, but this app only wants to connect through my Android phone. Will be returning the device to the seller for a refund as it cannot connect through the 5GHz of my phone.

Do not use. This is just a crappy half capable version of Smart Life app. So just get Smart Lifestyle app and use all the functionality and features of the sensor.

Does not work, app never sends push notifications or sound alerts. This water sensor is useless, 1 out of 2 does not even work.

Network test always fails, always have to reset wifi once a week to get a test to work, no longer generates a push notification only shows event when you open app running Pie is.

It would be very useful if we could send a test alarm signal, just to make sure everything is still connected and working properly.

Buggy: Switches for things like changing display between Celcius to Fahrenheit and toggling sensors don't work. (You tap on them but nothing happens.) Will update review after these are fixed.

Most leaks will be in the basement, not listed in the room choice. Had small leak, but no alarm or message. Will continue to test.

Just installed and tried out a new watersensor. Worked perfectly. Push notification was sent to my phone.

It used to work fine but since the app update it can't get connected, all the sockets are of no use.

Installed 3 water sensors flawlessly. Tested, got notifications perfectly. I don't know what all the negativity is about? Thanks for the piece of mind!

push notifications very flaky. ui poorly organized. too unreliable for urgency of a water leak sensor.

could not connect to the WiFi network. tried many times. Frustrated. Returned it.

Need to jump through hoops to calibrate curtain bots.

Works fine but would really like the ability to set my own alert tones.
