WTA Trailblazer

This app is so awesome!! It helps me search for a hike based on my needs--shorter, longer, less or more incline, distance from home. I also love that I can save hikes into my "backpack." It's sort of like making a wish list, and I tend to hike more because I want to check off the list! Also, it shows the most recent trip reports which is so helpful for finding out about things like snow levels, road conditions, water options, bugs and bear reports.

this app is wonderful! It could be easier to navigate but this is a really good start! the search feature needs some work as I was looking for a specific trail and even though I searched a few different spellings, nothing came up but when i scrolled through the area's hikes I found it spelled the way I had originally searched for. then I couldn't reset the search to look in a different area; I had to close and re-open. other than that, this is a solid app.

Liked this app until today. I had previously saved the hike I was doing today because I knew I wouldn't have cell service at the trailhead. It is SUPPOSED to save basic information offline, such as driving directions and trail info. However, when I arrived at the trailhead and opened the app to check a detail on my hike, it said my session had timed out and I had to sign in. Um....that rather defeats the purpose of an app that will work offline. Needless to say, since I could not sign in due to no cell service, I could not look up the info I wanted to check. What am I supposed to do, sign in right before I leave home and then make sure to not close the app and HOPE I won't time out before I get to my hike? Very poorly designed "offline" hiking app. I will be looking for another one.

Great app for finding hikes in washington. Easy to use. I like the trail reports. I wish there was a way to mark trails you've already done vs ones you want to do in the future. Currently there is only a favoriting feature that saves hikes into your "backpack".

Ok search experience, lost my first trip report. I wish there was a feature to filter recent trip reports by region or within a radius of a pin. I also wish that the search allowed by maximum elevation to account to snow levels. It kind of works but could be vastly improved.

Read the trip reports! Not just the most recent but a few of them. You'll gain so much insight into the how, what and where of a destination. Ultimately this app is great. I hope every state is lucky enough to have an extensive, community driven source of outdoor adventures.

Works well for finding a variety of hikes based on different criteria! Occasionally the map hike finder option doesn't work or a hike won't load all the data, but for the most part this app gets me where I want to go.

Love it, especially like ease of use on my smartphone and ability to go to full report to 'like' a report. I wish that the search engine was more broad, that you could type in part of a hike name and all related options would appear. It is frustrating as you have to have the exact spelling and order of words (when a hike has multiple words in its name) to successfully get the hike to come up. IE: Mt. St Helen's vs Mount St Helens, ditto for Mt Si. Or ya don't know exactly how to spell it. Tks

Overall I really like it. Easy to find hikes all over Washington. I do use it with another trail app so I don't get lost when I am actually on the hikes. I would love a feature to store the hikes I have already been on.

This app is the best for searching for Washington trails, looking at trail reports, and leaving your own trail reports. It is easy to save hikes to your "backpack" so you can easily to back to look at them later.

Love that I can save hikes in my "backpack" for offline use. Really handy to have the website in app form. One thing i would change, when submitting trail reports, i wish you could upload multiple photos at once from your gallery.

I adore this app because it is unique resource for planning hike. I like recent trip reports feature, hike search engine, sorting by different preferences and opportunity to see what kind of pass is required with link for purchassing the pass.

My main tool for planning hikes in WA. I love how many hikes will have detailed trip reports from other users from only a day or two ago, so I have up-to-date info on trail conditions. I do wish the app let you use more filters when searching for hikes, but 5 stars anyway cause I use it all the time and the WTA is a great organization.

Great app! The only improvement i would request is to the search function. If you know the exact hike name no problems but if you don't exactly remember the name it's easier to find the hike on their website

Great for finding trails to explore. Good filtering features. Unfortunately, it crashes every time I have submitted a trail report.

I love being able to check the trip reports and find new hikes I otherwise would never do through this app! And it's great you can filter certain things out too. Love it!

Filled with trails from all over the state of Washington. Some trails can be a little difficult to find but overall a great simple app.

I am a landscape photographer, using an old-fashioned 4x5 camera. Your app has given me opportunities that I didn't even know existed in the back country. I checked the app every day for reviews of hikes and I'm just sorry that I didn't find your app sooner.

Use the app non-stop for finding local hikes and latest updates on the hike. It's also great to be able to save hikes to favorites, for quick access later.

Great app to choose to choose your next hike! Very detailed! Would be 5 stars, but only downside is it doesn't show me all the information for a hike that I saved in my favorites unless I search it by name again.

This app is for the hikers by the hikers. Money raised by WTA goes back into the trails unlike other apps which is puts the money in those developers pockets support local all the time.

Handy and informative app for trails and parks in Washington. Hikers post their experiences which can be very handy, offering tips, suggestions, and photos from their own explorations.

this app is really great overall. it would be nice if we could see our saved hikes on a map but thats the only issue I've come upon.

this app provides navigation to the trailhead, and mentioned the distance of the trail. but not showing the hiking route and no route planner for customize your offline use for your next hiking trip

Search is no good. Difficult to find a trail by criteria. Great app otherwise. Would be awesome with better search

It's wonderful to be able to use this app to look up hikes. It would be great to also be able to look up trip reports by user name. My brother posts a lot of trip reports and I know his user name and I would like to be able to search for his reports on all his hikes.
