WTAE- Pittsburgh Action News 4

First, the problem: the alerts/notifications. STOP IT with the useless pictures. There's just enough headline to be vague, and an utterly USELESS picture/graphic that cuts off what may or may not be useful info. WE DON'T NEED A PICTURE OF SOMEONE AT A MICROPHONE!!! Please, please get RID of the pics with the alerts. Otherwise, there are reasons this is the only local news app I have - and that's because it's relevant without being overbearing, and it's easy to navigate.

The app is what you'd expect, but the "nowcast" is unfortunately glitching so I cannot cast to my TV. You'll have to watch the now cast on your phone screen.

Terrible app. No ability to customize alerts. Bombarded with "Breaking news" all day long for every single story, most of which are not even newsworthy. What's worse, the app experience is identical to watching the news. Every "breaking news" story is nothing more than the fluffy introductory blurb that an anchor would read on a newscast, followed by the video. I downloaded the app so I could quickly scan each story. If I wanted to actually "watch" the news, I would turn on the TV. Uninstalling

WTAE is my favorite Pittsburgh news, but this app was terrible. It would play for a few seconds to a minute - than the screen would go blank and say "something went wrong." Did this every time I tried to us it. Deleted it. ☹️

It's the same amount of ads as any other news station but it's the same thing over and over again get your sales department to give people breaks and they can advertise their business. It tends to disconnect during peak hours also. That all said it's the best news cast out there!

This is a joke of a news app in 2020. No organization, you're forced to scroll past random articles that you don't care about. Somehow very little Pittsburgh news articles and mostly clickbait-like "national" news articles that linger for days and weeks. Breaking news is under reported on here and often consists of silly "breaking news" alerts like "Ben Roethlisberger needs wrist surgery". Notifications have huge pictures so you can't read the headlines. I downloaded Trib Live instead.

It's good 2 see & hear news from local area, must stay Informed, thank you... 😃

I like the app. I am able to view what news has recently transpired and helps me keep up-to-date with information when I am unable to personally access my television.

Immediately violates trust. It takes you through a notification setup process and within the first 5 minutes I received a notification that I didn't approve. Uninstalled.

More commercials than news . Then it says we're taking a break !! Really I just watched 9 commercials !!! I'm about ready to go to channel 11 app I'm getting fed up with this app

I download and try the app again only to find out it is still totally useless. To View election results it says to click here and it takes you to an external web page? What a joke why do I need the app if I have to use a webpage? I will be uninstalling again.

Same stupid stories, repeat stories upon repeat stories, you look at one story, then scroll only to find the stories your avoiding are right underneath, all these news apps are a waste of time

I dislike the number of ads. Way too may advertisements!! Watch 6 ads back to back ! Plus, glitches while watching a news report.

Tried numerous times to get the app to open no success, got channel 11app instead. Up and working in a minute.

terrible product..constantly lock up or replays sentences or statements..... not worth watching because you spend more time reloading it than seeing the actual news stories.

One question: Why can't this program be put on external storage? SD card has more storage than main drive. WPXI has the option available. Great job WPXI !!!!

Even though Pgh has 3 top ranked teams and this station has a full team of sports coverage, the app is never updated. Poor job.

Casting function doesnt work - FIX IT. This app is more worried about ads than reporting local news like it's supposed to - FAIL

It's good when you can't catch the news at home & you can catch it on the go & you always get updates! Love the staff and crew of WTAE!!

PLEASE BRING BACK THE REWIND AND FAST FORWARD BUTTONS ON THE INTERACTIVE RADAR!! Interactive radar isn't very interactive if all I can do is watch an 8 hour loop.

WAY too many ads - over and over. Love the morning news ladies. I tune in especially for Ashley Daugherty & Kelly Frey. I go to wpxi for radar. Never get weather bullitens, but I'm supposed to.

A great app for all my needs weather.. local conditions ..traffic..news.. don't use the Weather Channel anymore

Entirety too many commercials. I get a push open it up and have to suffer these loud ads.

Use it for breaking news only as the rest of the content is usually outdated.

Links to sites below stories do not go to the site. Old news every where. Update the links.

Downloaded app then realized these are the woke people who fired Wendy Bell. Uninstalled.

It's a great great app, easy to tell what the weather will be today, the next day, and even the next week
