Works as it should on my device and helps me to identify instruments as I needed. Thanks for such app.
Exactly what I wanted, reached 90 % but The keyboard is tiny , rather invisible Lot of latency between sound and notes 16 channels only some of them are interresting, I would suggest landscape layout with selectable channels
It works really well at playing midis, and I love the ability to change the wavetable. The only thing it needs IMO is the ability to export audio.
Very good app I like the sound.tip just set the number of voices to 24 for best sound
Great app for people who love chiptunes! One question though. Where does the app store the output files? I'd like to transfer them to my computer. Make this easier and I'll add the final star.
It won't play any of my midi files WHAT A WASTE OF TIME
the tone it doesn't show it anywhere in my files.
useless, it does play, but no edits, also it has microscopic buttons and labels...
Speed change needs x2.5 rather only 1.5
Would be better if you knew how to English.
This app does a spectacular job of rendering old video game chiptunes. The reproduction of classic console sounds is uncanny. And the display is wonderful. 24 voices /w slight reverb play /w no lag and only 35% cpu use on my Atrix 4G /w Android 2.3.5. (Note this is *NOT* a high quality midi wavetable; it's not supposed to be!) Two suggestions for improvement: (1) Keep the phone/display awake while playing. (2) allow browsing to folders outside of /mnt/sdcard.
Default tones are not very good. And it's not just because they are simple tones. Even simplistic tones can be done better (an old OPL2 with default mappings sounds better than this). Also there's no way to stop a file from playing once it's started.
I was drawn to this app by the fact this app uses a chiptunesque wavetable, however I am very disappointed at the quality of the playback. The playback is jumpy, not all instruments in the MIDI are played, and it is a headache to have to quit the app to stop a song.
For free, it's obviously worth it as long as it works, and it does that. I am happy for one that you can adjust the key it plays in. It says right in the description that the sounds are primitive so why would I complain about this?
Work just nice! Accept no pause , forward and stop when I need.
Love it tnx
Really poor tone file. MIDIs are really old tech. You'd think this dev could do better. If you want a midi player get winamp...
So apparently it isn't a MIDI file player, but rather a MID file player. Although it produces no sounds. Just as useless as before
Opened and played my MIDI file perfectly. Thanks.
Open file gives blank screen, so can't try playing anything. Does not appear in list when clicking MIDI file link on webpage - my main requirement. Not tablet ready, runs in portrait. Needs work! Uninstalled :( asus transformer, 3.2
Plays midi files ok.interface is awkward, have to navigate to folder each time you want to play another midifile.frequent errors on reading titles of midi files.
As Steven Martin said, Its really awefull. Not even simple tones are heard correctly. But as a developer, I understand the pain of coding. Good luck. Find some better algorithms.
I downloaded a MIDI file and tried to play it but it stopped after a fraction of a second.
Would be useful for music practising if I could control tempo and pitch.
I like this midi alot. The 8bit tones, the background play ability. It would be perfect if it were not for the severe browsing limitations. Such as, The program not storing your last browsed folder. Not being able to cycle through midis in a folder.
