How do we do it? The short answer is: brute force. We deploy an army of dedicated, warm-blooded (and sober) human beings with GPS devices to walk the entire parade route of every parade we track. We physically track 67 of the biggest parades during Mardi Gras starting with Krewe De Vieux and ending with Rex on Mardi Gras day. I don't understand why none of the parade tracker apps, including this one, show the beginning AND END of the parade? Every year this frustrates me because I can't tell where the last float is. Otherwise, there's just no difference between WWL and WDSU's parade trackers.
great service. it might be good to have a tracker at the end of the parades too. now for endemion, the tracker has gone past and still no parade...maybe stay with them
Unreliable. Lost Endymion for nearly an hour. Misreported Thoth the entire route as not having left.
crashes everytime you zoom in. very frustrating.

It worked most of the time, but froze up a few times. I actually stopped the tracker car to tell them it was frozen and the guy who identified himself as the app designer told me the problem was my provider. Aparently the app works best of you have Verizon. According to him...
It's hard to understand what's going on, but when you do, it helps although it could be more informative

This was great app to have while in new orleans. Told you where the parades where, and tracked their progress so of you missed the beginning you could go intersect it somewhere along their route.
