WXII 12 News and Weather

Has not worked with Chromecast for over a year. It seems this would be a priority fix.

This app is the only way I get local news. I can't afford cable TV anymore. most of the time this app locks up during the series of eight commercials. I then have to start this app over and over again until it gets through the commercial series. just updated the app the commercials are still the same after the update as they were before. This update fixed the problem.

Ads before every news story. I realize a free app needs them but if you press back to see something like if you can read the story instead of watch a video, your will have to re-watch the same ad before the story starts. I would like to see weather and news alerts separated in the settings. I don't want alerts about sport events or human interest stories. I would like more options to read the transcript of the story.

Great for up to the minute news updates and weather forecasts with real time weather conditions.

They flash a banner on your phone that says "Tornado warning issued for Surry Co." - so you click the banner. It takes you back to the same, generic story they've been on all day with that morning's weather broadcast. But NOTHING about the content of the banner (I.E.: "Tornado warning issued for Surry Co.") Very frustrating. Wish they could fix it. Happens all the time.

To many long commercial advertisements! You can't read/watch a story without a 15 to 30 second commercial playing beforehand. So it takes 5 to10 minutes just to catch up on half a dozen news stories.

I really enjoy the WXII app. I like keeping up with the weather and checking the radar. I like being able to see the live newscast if I'm not home. I recommend it to anyone who wants to keep up to date with breaking news and current weather

This would be a much higher rating except that losing the ability to cast the feed to our tv has really taken the shine off the apple, so to speak. This ability is why we chose WXII over other apps. Now there is no differentiation.

this app is trash. when it doesnt just up and close out for no reason, you might as well just call it an ad app cause thats all you'll get. commercial after commercial.

I believe no matter what type of emergency was happening I'd have to watch a commercial first. please no adds on breaking news or alerts. seconds count from what y'all say.

I love this app !! I love the news staff. They keep you updated on the weather & breaking news. They do such a great Job. I live in Virginia and love to watch Chanel 12 news on T.V . When I'm away I watch it on my app which is basically the same.

Hard to navigate school & business closings. Sends headlines on push alerts but when check then, it's very rare you see the story.

Grew up watching wxii but there is nothing local about it anymore. Just pushes the same trash and race baiting as national news. I kept the app thinking that I would ignore the "news" and just look at the weather but there are other places to get that.

Way too many alerts about things that aren't important or an emergency. I really don't need an push alert about a cat stuck in a tree in Arkansas.

The videos don't play. I can watch the news but not breaking news or any of the videos within the app. Please help 😢

This could be a good app, but it just streams previous news broadcasts. Hard to find breaking or recent news stories news

Too many ads. Every news item has a loud ad video that auto starts - very annoying.

I love channel 12 news. I can't get it though. We only have an ch 3, 9, 18 & 36. None of these are wxii 12. So i watch ch 22 news on my phone when i get a chance. I read the news they put out and comes to my phone. Wxii ch. 12 news yall rock!!!

I always watch channel 12 news and especially the weather.i am disabled and can't be up without help so i watch a lot of tv.i have a hard time getting y'all to come in clear on over the air tv but usually i can pick y'all up ok

Can you all just do a weather app separate than with the news attached? I heard you all had it that way before but changed. Please do a weather app only.

it is annoying. it alerts you on any type of news. I thought it was to alert you weather wise.

I really enjoy this app! I would give five stars but I always feel there is ALWAYS room for improvement.

Yes i love this App it tells me when the Storms comes near me i always watch the 11 o clock news every night... This App helps me alot every day...

Every time i look at the weather on the app its different. It says one thing and then it would say something different

Great app to get quick notes on what is happening locally. Really appreciate the interactive radar!

Good app to supplement the off air news. Also a good way to see back home news when on the road.
