WYFF News 4 and weather

Frustrating!! What's with all the commercials? The weather radar doesn't update as frequently as people would like! If there's severe weather in my area, I would at least like to be ahead of it! Instead, this app runs 5-10 mins late, I've clocked it to be as much as 20 mins before an update! And I understand the commercials during the live feed..But if I'm watching the replay??And there's no way around it! Some people Really depend on this app to be as fast as it is accurate! Lives are at stake!

Horrible news source. Nothing but a left wing liberal parrot for CNN's hate speech devisive agenda.

I love being able to watch the news at my convenience but hate that it continually hangs up at the ads. I have to restart it and then have hunt for where I was at just to have it hang up again constantly fighting this please fix it! I don't mind the ads just make them play and not hang! It's not all of them some play fine.

Very frustrating to try and search previous news stories, or to search daily news stories. May be there, may not. The weather forcast always seems to be on point, and up to date, which is basically what I end up using it for on a daily basis.

The app works well for checking the weather and reading news stories. The problem I have is when I cast the live news from my phone to my TV. The program will run for 5-10 minutes then it will disconnect completely. I usually have to reconnect 4 or 5 times during one broadcast.

Very good at keeping me updated with what is happening in my area. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that every headline has a picture and I have to open the app in order to see the complete headline. Would like it better if I could see the entire headline in the notification, as not every story interests me.

The WYFF app is pretty good and is easy to use. I preferred having a separate weather app. One annoying thing is the tendency of the app to reset back to the top. Otherwise, it's an improvement in earlier versions.

I'm getting frustrated with this app because it's not kept up to date. There are things still on here that happened weeks ago. Also these stupid car ads that say "skip" keep playing regardless so you might as well not bother. I keep this app because it's my local news.

Updated 1/29/2021: uninstalled due to alerts settings not working. Call me crazy but I don't want to be alerted everytime some one dies in the upstate. The only alert setting enabled is for weather, but I continue to get local news alerts.

When you open up, adds plays at full volume. Very annoying when you're in a private or quiet environment. Terrible that you can't lower the volume for the ads.

Works as promised. You get live local news and headlines if there is just a story you are interested in. When you are trying to watch the live broadcast, it takes a little bit to load, so you are stuck seeing their logo. If it loaded quicker, I would give it 5 stars. Otherwise, I like it and plan on keeping it as my go-to local news source.

Half the time it won't load, then it'll play for about 20minutes and then cuts off,cuts off during commercials. It would be good if it did right.

Opened it once and it took over my phone with a video with no way to close it without fast forwarding and watching all the commercials. Uninstalled!

What an aggravating piece of an app!!! Even with alerts set, bells, buzzers and whistles go off at the most annoying time of day...especially midnight to dawn!!! Uninstalled it!!!

WYFFNews 4 is NOT THE APP you receive when you install this app. you receive an app called News ON and then you have your choice of what station you you desire. I Want MY OLD APP back this new one does not do the job and is UNFAIR to my friends at WYFF4 Greenville, SC. They have great weather reports and alerts This app DOES NOT> I DO NOT LIKE IT

The radar app doesn't work all the time. Some days I cannot get the radar screen to even come up. Very frustrating. I have uninstalled the app and installed the app several times. Does not help.

A lot of WYFF4's headlines on the app are bait click. The story is seldom as exciting or enticing once you click on it. They tend to follow typical media...hype it up as opposed to just telling it as is.

Absolutely love this app. You can check the weather for the next 10 days or hour by hour. You can read the local or national news and there are always light heart warming stories as well its greeat!

App works great and I was happy until I had to watch the same ads over and over and over again. I finally deleted app because of repetitive ads.

We are having the Presidential news on which we cannot do nothing about there is no need to put it on Me-TV 4.2 for people to watch this is the kind of news that needs to be put on CNN... We people that don't have satellite would love to watch the regular program on Me-TV....very disappointed in wyff4 carrying it on regular news for as well as their other affiliated station

Very annoying !!! Same old news for days / at a time. Current news would be nice, since that's why most people would consider using this app for in the first place...

i have alerts turned off but this app periodically keeps alerting Remember us turn on alerts for breaking news. very annoying.

I use the app mostly for the weather. The widget shows the weather and top story. Is there a setting to show the weather only? If I can do that I will change my review to 5 stars!

Many of the news articles on WYFF are sourced from CNN which can hardly be considered a legitimate news source. They're OK for local reporting, but the national and world news articles come from very bent and biased news network. Had to uninstall.

For a while your weather personnel would pre-empt other programs when there were thunderstorms in the area. I remember once when that occurred for hours. I am glad to see that it has been curtailed.

Can't turn the sound off for push notifications. I turn it off and it comes back on by itself

It's good for news and weather through the week, but on the weekend it seems as if no one updates the news.

Every time i use this pp I'm subjected to loud annoying ads before the news report. Today I got to enjoy a piercing siren in my ear just after the annoying loud ad. Deleting this thing!
