The WYPR Public Radio App allows you to listen to WYPR, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule for all the streams at once! You can explore On Demand content, search for programs, and wake up to WYPR with the alarm clock!

Playback is very unstable...constantly stops, sometimes you can tap play to restart playback,other times that button becomes unresponsive be and I need to restart the app to start the feed again. The buttons for other be stories on the screen are easy to inadvertently tap and there is no way to navigate back to the live stream without restarting the app.
Love listening but the app cuts out periodically.
Currently not playing live NPR programming. Sporadically shuts down on its own. Also, so many past broadcasts and programs are displayed as large widgets on home screen that it's easy for one of those to inadvertently open. Whereas, to play the live NPR program or the program currently on air, there's a very small play arrow instead of a large "live programming widget" that would be much easier for users.
Lousy, unusable. Long time listener and very disappointed. This is not even an app: whenever opened, despite closing it and how much time has lapsed, it's just a frozen screen shot. No navigation, no activity whatsoever. Uninstalling, reluctantly...
Crashes unpredictably and has to be restarted fairly often. Other than that I like access to the different channels and a number of podcasts but the crashing means it's impossible to use it during activities such as walking.
Sometimes the station cuts to silence for up to half an hour. Then it goes right back to broadcasting as if it had not gone silent. Other than that content is excellent.
I'm still having problems with the app stopping playing in the middle of broadcast. NPR One doesn't do that, but I like the WYPR app better bc it has weather and I think traffic.
Doesn't switch between wifi and cellular very well. Cuts out a lot when moving from wifi to wifi as well. Otherwise, not too shabby. Its free!
Love the app and being able to stream wypr! Only issue is sometimes when you open the app it immediately crashes. Usually works the second time.
Great app overall but just had to uninstall because it's murdering battery on my phone. Didn't use it for the entire day, android told me it was responsible for 28% of my battery usage. What?! Will likely reinstall eventually, but oof. Please fix that.
When you swipe and close this app it keeps playing whatever content you are listening to. You have to open up Settings > Apps and Force Stop the WYPR app to make it stop playing.
The app often has trouble opening, even after reinstalling. It also cuts out from time to time.
Seems like an abbreviated version of the WYPR ap. Only a few stories and articles are featured within this app. It works well just seems limited.
Radio part is great. Articles stay up for days. Would like them to become more detailed versions of the daily news as reported WYPR.
the best Station and a great app. Been using it every day for a few months. Most important app to get me through the work day.
Great almost all the time. I love having WYPR with me. App occasionally shuts down. A bug? But all in all love the app

Too slow to use 7/1/21: added one star. App behaves better and is quicker to launch.
It's good for listening to WPR when I'm out of broadcast range
3/22: STILL THE SAME PROBLEMS AS BEFORE ☹️: Fairly often, it seems to switch spontaneously from one channel to another, which is very annoying. I am most often on 88.1, but without touching the phone at all it will switch to music, the BBC, or one specific program right in the middle of whatever I'm listening to. And lately, it's been dropping the main channel altogether sometimes and I have to uninstall and then reinstall the app to restore the main channel, which is *very* annoying!
