My teachers were amazing, and the price highly reasonable. The interface includes a whiteboard, quite useful for the classes.
Can't get the messages from the tutor to show up in the app. Just keeps spinning. Have to go to wen interface to read and respond.
As a tutor, its pretty great, especially since they've adjusted the fee structure. Its very easy to schedule an lesson, submit a lesson, and payment is pretty frequent and automatic. I will agree that it isn't that easy to find clients, particularly if you are charging more than average if you have graduate degree(s). Overall, great platform.
Somewhat unfunctional app. I can't search for new subjects. I can't mark messages as "read", even by reading them.
I just use the app on my phone to message a tutor to set up schedule and have no issues, it works great, just like any other messaging app, Then I use the website for tutor sessions, but that's my personal preference, I like a bigger screen. I haven't tried a tutor session on the phone
I've repeatedly tried to hide my account but it just doesn't work. I'm okay with the app having fewer features but the included features need to work. It hurts the sites reputation which is a problem for someone relying on it long term to keep my studio full. For as much as we pay for the service you'd expect basic functions to work.
The tutor I have is excellent, the appand website however, and the function of in session service and connectivity are terrible. Neither the app nor the website seem to be able to remember my profile so each online lesson requires system verification and the online e site page sharing doesn't seem to recognize variations of screen size so much of the lesson requires constant pinching and expansion to veiw.
They want a CREDIT CARD FIRST B4 Anything! It's a ruse 2 get u to sign up. I wanted an "in person" tutor...so that's what they show me! ppl in "my area" AND available. But they want a credit card on FIRST! But then ur contacted by other ppl! None your interested in. The person who is in my area, who i contacted, OF COURSE, cannot help me but all these others can! Did NOT give my criteria card & immediately Uninstalled this SCAM of an app! Don't do it!
Amazing application. I have sporadically tried educational apps in the past with minimal satisfaction, but I took a STATA course for two hours over an online lesson and got a perfect score on thst section of my exam, and a near perfect score overall.
This app is a life saver. I'm not the smartest person in the world, especially when it comes to subjects like statistics and accounting. I had tutors for my classes within an hour of my search, most available for use the same day.
it was great! i met with my teacher in person! she was affordable and i learned a lot. i love this app :) never thought i would ever even get the chance to learn under an expert level teacher. it use to be just a dream. Thankyou!
Got my kids from B/C to A in math. I was skeptical about doing lessons online, but it made things so much easier, and gave us a wider choice of tutors. The one we chose has been fantastic. Thank you Wyzant.
Feels like Wyzant abandoned this app. No fixes for the load message issue. No new updates since ... it's been a long while. If you're going to kill the app, just do it. Or hire more developers, please. Makes Wyzant look unprofessional.
Very convenient - I use the app whenever I need to try to find a tutor. Very user friendly. I have used it for SAT prep, Chemistry, Physics and Math.

The process for finding and working with a tutor is great. I had some frustrations with the app's messaging capabilities and how attachments get passed is the reason for 4 stars.
Video blurry. Audio breaks the whole time during the session, I thought my wifi wasn't good I switched to cable still doing the same thing. Horrible experience with this online tool.
Complete waste of time for tutors, it's simply used as a venue for spammers and scammers. If you were to get a job, which as a person with graduate education on here who passed 20 of their subject tests I did not have happen once in 4 YEARS, they take almost half. But they're all spam, the only one that wasn't was someone working for them, trying to trap you into skirting their fees. If you look at the positive reviews here, many are obviously bots or throwaway idents.
Conversations screen doesn't always show my messages, I have to completely shut down and restart the app sometimes. Messages aren't sent properly either, I've written out entire messages, hit send, and had it vanish.
While my first experience with the tutor/instructor was good, it's the overall app/website is clunky. They don't bill you promptly, which I don't like.
If you want an array of tutors with an array of skills, this is the app for you. We love using wyzant for math tutor and have found the perfect one, Peter S. He is well versed in different areas of education but he has a masters in mathematics and his hourly rate is very reasonable.
Excellent app and very great experience with Tutors
Passed the Spanish exam, redid my introdution a few times to get it right and put decent credentials for a low payment of tutoring. Also put in time trying to figure the apps out only to be declined. Wish I could get my time back ugh
App does not show links to upcoming lessons. Cannot run scheduled lessons in the app. Totally useless. Don't bother installing- you have to do everything through a web browser anyways.
As far as wyzant goes, I love it. As far as the quality of the app goes, I also love it. It's super easy to use and has great accessibility to the same things you get on the website.
Well the tutors you get connected to are incredible, very knowledgeable and creative. The app is easy to use, Convenient and not to expensive.
The messages conversation section was really set unprofessional just keep looking and some HTML tages sometimes appears within the messages. Most keep close and open the app until to see the new messages. Disappointing 😞
Good god. Both the app and the website is very bloated and laggy. It's a shame because other than the bad user experience, you can find quality tutors.....when the website decides it wants to work!
Developers, please add: 1. Search for specific tutors. I found one for my daughter; I was impressed by the 1000+ 5-star reviews. However, I lost the profile because I could not contact her at that moment, so I tried the next day. I have tried EVERYTHING. Google shows her, but clicking on the result brings me to the Wyzant search page instead of her profile. 2. Flag tutors you are interested in. Along the same lines as #1. So you can decide whom to contact when ready, after researching profiles.
