Bought the camera that goes with it and there's no option of changing the settings for the camera at all. All the description and features on how the camera support was a lie, no wonder its only 25 bucks. Can't even record unless you use the apps to, but once it's off wifi the blue led lights just lid up solid and doesn't blink anymore. Also you see the red light blinking fast to so don't know is that bad or good. Bad very bad app and camera don't buy...!
I Leave this more as help to others that seems to have experienced the same issues that I have had endured. I have found that the app works when you turn on the wifi mode on the camra itself, followed by connecting directly from your mobile device's wifi to the camera(in the same way that you would connect to a network) and only then open the app. It seems to work in my situation after firstly struggling to find the app for this camera and then eventually getting the app and the camera linked.
This app does work! Connect camera to wifi on phone or android device. THEN open app and connect to camera. Works great for me. Can view live feed. Record or take photos. Review recordings or photos on camera. Download recordings or photos. As long as your device remains connected to camera via wifi it works. Cant wait to test distance. Just wish my camera was a little bit better in recording quality. Make sure android device is set to remain connected so it doesnt drop connection.
Updated review: at first its only connecting even thou my wifi setting shows that it is already connected to the wifi of the camera. Then when I try to turn of my router . the app om the phone suddenly work and already displaying whats on the camera. The bad thing is you cannot use the camera when its connecting to your phone or when using wifi mode,its should be only stay on the setting thats show the wifi name and password. 2nd is the app should have many setting not only the start to record
Works great. Someone said it asks for permissions. That is with any android app. It needs to access your phone so the phone can communicate with the action cam and control the cam. In Android 10 you can set permissions to only access when using the app. It's in your control.
The Apps is Stop working after the Screen is OFF. While I'm downloading something in My DashCam and get off a while the app is not working and not continue to download, I will be download again and back to zero also its very slow to download when I connect on a DashCam. I don't know if the Problem is My Cam or My phone or endly The Apps ?
The app only allows take a photo and record video from a cam. It also allows to view cam media. No way to control cam settings. It is absolutely useless.
makes an already inferior action cam completely unusable. the cam is sold on wish as a 4k action cam... its maybe 360p at best. when connecting to wifi it starts streaming and within seconds, freezes and crashes, then shuts off. at least the camera came with lots of accessories i can actually use with other devices. DONT but Action Cams on Wish dot com. DONT expect this Xcam app to do anything useful.
Chinese products are a total waste. No good software, no good hardware. Both the product and software is a loss. Regret the choice of buying a chinese cam.
App keeps crashing. Does not seem to be user friendly. Seems to crash everytime it connects to the camara. FROM WISH...
This app does not work it doesn't get past the first page in connection process all it does is sit in Spin. Nothing but bad reviews on this app whoever is responsible for fixing these problems we would love it if you did!
Beware of spyware! X-Cam has to have suspicious permissions in order to work, such as the camera and microphone. My Galaxy S8 recently detected that the app was using these permissions without consent when I wasn't using the app.
Didn't know how to pair up with phone, figured that out now it works fine. Lots of negative comments ,but I had no problem getting this to work,problem was instructions with the dash cam were basic had to go on utube to get the instructions I needed!
App does not work. Connect wifi from camera to phone and when I open the app, all it does is try and connect but never does
Doesn't work. It feels dodgy to me too. I don't trust it. I connected to the wifi hotspot of the camera and have it in ssid mode. But nothing.
Sometimes it will connect other times it won't. Kinda useless if it won't work and connect to the camera.
It was all cool, but I need help trying to edit my videos and put them together. Do you have a youtube channel so I can watch a tutorial on how to put clips of your videos together?
the action camera doesn't support continuous recording longer than 5mins, neither this app. It also stop working after turn off screen.
This app won't connect to the camera. Just says connecting. Can't use the video or anything without the app. Not good.
Useless app. Takes so long to open that the camera shuts down before you can do anything.

It does work...installed on samsung note 10+.operates sport ultra hd go pro clone...bit testy getting it installed but can be operated with phone
Doesn't connect to camera, though probably because the camera is a cheap Chinese knock off of a go pro. Worst camera experience ever!
Preview updates ok. Functions are primitive. No access to settings.
This app is just terrible. Bought a cheap camera that supposedly works with this app but what a terrible experience. Don't waste your time!
this app is useless..tried installing and uninstalling 3x but all it ever does is spin and spin for hours but doesn't connect.
Hi.. The app is not opening.. It is showing the welcome message, then when I click on the button.. The app does not start.

If I could give a negative star rating for the app, I would! I bought the camera for when I'm riding my motorcycle and opted for the WiFi version so I could view vids on my phone/tablet, etc. without the need to remove it, other than for charging & after finally finding the WiFi on/off, I've connected once with no further success! I'm literally sat next to the camera SSID info etc in visual sight & although i see the WiFi it won't connect & displays "out of range"? So much for convenience!
