This VIP version of Xabber is in no way any better than regular version of Xabber, gold coin on an application icon being it's only distinct feature. It is very useful to show off how gorgeous you are when buying something that anyone can get for free.

Bad with no notification on chat. It worked well before when on free versiikn and I bought. Then when you updated, it didnt work well.
Please, add search in message history. Add fingerprint or pass lock of the app Store messages logs in phone encrypted and this is will be the best app for xmpp
Annoying ads in paid version

Update: Xabber team have done a great job improving this app. Rating updated, working well on pixel 3 xl. ---Using a Pixel XL: Latest update 2.0.1, has caused some sort of syncing or connectivity issue. When connected to a conference (xmpp) , chat will randomly stop and cannot be restarted until the application is fully closed out and re-opened. Battery optimization is off for xabber, no problems with previous versions.
Edit: It's a same the developer doesn't get that putting in, a shameless, ad for his crowdfunding campaign is just wrong. Yes, I don't like the new interface but that's not the point. That's a matter of taste. The Ad for a paid version is tasteless. That the paid version only paid for 1,5% of the development has nothing to do with this.
Wonderful app. Who needs Signal if you can just use xmpp with otr. I hope the file transfer is coming soon (my sister refuses to register to jabber if she cannot send pictures).
I've been a long time user of Xabber for awhile and I decided it was time to donate, this client really is the best out there from the clients I've tried.
Still a great app, but for months it won't stop hanging time after time. Tested in Galaxy S3, Xperia Z, Note 3, Tab 2 7", and others. I use it because I must now... :-\

Used to be a 5 star app for me. But it stopped working with Facebook chat. Please update. I sponsored you, so I do expect some action to keep the app working :)

I just buy the app and i cant connect on our xmpp server

The application works well and does what I need it to. In this last update what happened to themes? What happened specifically to the DARK theme? UPDATE: Dev says themes are coming!
Once I created my account I couldn't change it. It's custom interface has no menu button which is required for newer phones. It doesn't support Google two factor auth in a browser, so isn't even compliant with Google Talk. Just lazy.
How can I share the same long-term key between Xabber and the computer, or at least multiple Xabber instances, so that I don't have to distribute fingerprints whenever I change/flash my device?
Local encryption would be a nice touch, but the client works well.
...and suddenly realizes it's time to pay+) both versions (regular and development) works great @ all of my devices, i've never had any issues after any system or app updates (some devices are rooted and run cm, some has stock android). i'm totally happy with xabber. and btw i like its default black design, i don'r really understand why some users request "material design" as something "must have asap!"... i think OTR is the most important feature. thank you, dear dev, you made my life easier:)
Security first. This great chat app is one of the few that is really secure with otr. Don't waste your privacy with whatsapp. This is the answer. Needs better emoticons.
I used the free one for some time but the app has just worked for me so I got this paid version. I love the ability to change the profile string for an account so no one really knows if you're at your desk or out and about
I just rated it 3 stars because it does not seem to work with Facebook 2-Factor Authentication. Can you guys provide documentation on that if it does? Thanks.

Love the OTR feature!
One small gripe: should be able to set otr mode on a per-user basis, pidgin style. Other than that, the best xmpp chat program in the marketplace.
Just couldn't put up with Hangouts any longer and not knowing a contacts online status. Xabber has an excellent IM interface plus the privacy of OTR when it's needed. What a credit this is to the developers and well worth the VIP donation. Very impressed and looking forward to a future file-transfer function.

Recently I have started receiving the error message "Error sending messages: XMPPError: bad-request - modify If set, the ' from'attribute must be set to the user's full JID". None of my messages are sent to peers, but I receive messages sent to me. Could you fix the problem, because it renders app useless.
