Running XBMC on a Raspberry Pi. In the remote, all the direction keys don't work, making it impossible to navigate menus. When playing videos, no information (other than the name) is shown. The app would not tell me whether the connection had been successful, which is a problem when it doesn't connect. Sadly, while this app seems to be capable of providing more functionality than the official XBMC remote, it doesn't work as expected, therefore I had to uninstall it again.
Pros: thumbnails, server selection from the home screen, its free... Cons: force closes during every use on my gs2 with all 3 of my win7 HTPCs, terrible UI and home screen setup
Looks terrible and server configuration relies on IP only rather than DNS. Just use the official App from XBMC..
Great app, more functional than official app on Incredible. Can't hide menu again after accessed during playback though unless I'm missing something. Seems to cause xbmcbuntu to lock up sometimes as well for some reason.
Plex seems to be the best out there. Xbmc fails me too often. Plex is everywhere.
A side effect of using the out of date API, that makes it ineffective with modern versions of XBMC (e.g. on PCs), makes it perfect for use on original old XBoxes running XBMC4XBox. 🙆 💜 🎬 📺 🎵
Used to work fine in Dharma, used it all the time, my favorite. Now in Eden the direction keys don't work anymore. Will be five stars if fixed.
Using galaxy s6. I'm using a custom ROM, so I don't expect it to be supported, but have not been able to get it to open l
Interface too basic and display features dont always seem to work, including Now Playing image does not show. Fine start but needs more work.
Very good app. I now use this instead of the official app as the other failed to work. Maybe it was 2.2 froyo that screwed it, but this works sweet.
Very good, but I don't understand why it requires "read phone state and identity" permission
Needs big screen support. Landscape mode for remote. An option to add to playlist without long pressing. I hope this app keeps improving.
Zero feedback when buttons don't work, really annoying to the point of irritance - this is supposed to ease the experience, but only adds frustration.
Works great on my Xbox and makes watching movies more enjoyable. HIT THE MENU BUTTON ON YOUR PHONE FOR QUICK ACCESS TO NOW PLAYING!
Works well, but when using to manage the movie being played, the GUI could do with improving.
This one works, except when you play video that can be resumed, then app freezes :(
Prefer the official app. Btw it reads SMS so incoming msgs can be displayed on your TV screen. Great feature imo.
Official one is sexier, more powerful, overall better. Scrolling files is nice, library disappointing. As a Remote it is better.
Motorola ATRIX. Connects just fine and controls are decent, but I found only a few bugs that kinda turn me off. Remote buttons need to be recoded.
Not the best UI but I love that it can browse in file mode something the official client doesn't do. A good complement to the official one.
I love this software. Just beautiful. Although would be nice if someone could make this software control more of the pc.
Crashed on the first time I ran it. First impressions aren't good. Galaxy s2 user.
Good up. For every few click, it start repeating the last click endlessly
Cretins recommended using xbmc on pc years ago,it was awful then and I was hoping by now on tablets they might have something working on tablets.they don't,this installs an leaves you with a black screen, the app doesn't even detect your devices!a horrible joke at your expense!unfortunately media centres are still another 5-10 years off it seems :(
Doesn't even work I set all settings the way it says and nothing happens
The official doesn't work with earlier versions, this does, nuff said
Arrow buttons don't work. Ffwd and next are inverted. No pictures for the movies. Official app is better.
Very good app. The official one does not work on ny samsung intercept. This one is even better. Simple and clean.
This never works I can use any other remote but this one if ur running anything later then 10 don't use
PROS: It queues things fine, has some important functions in remote, works well with original Xbox XBMC and probably runs HTTP: API, easy to setup. CONS: The downside is it doesn't have thumbnails (at least in JB 4.2), has very few functions other than Play, Stop, Pause, Next, Prev etc in the remote. It does not seem to have a landscape feature for the remote view although all the other views have one and it probably doesn't recognize RCON: API. The app seems to be abandoned by the dev.
