Xbox Game Pass

I don't typically give 5 star reviews because I feel there's always room for improvement. In the case for xbox Game Pass, I honestly can't think of a single thing that game pass needs to do better with. I play both on my series x at home and often on my phone when I'm out. Streaming via the cloud is the best that I've seen. I can play most games with a typical 5g connection with no issues for the most part. And MS keeps the library FRESH! There is something here for everyone.

Awesome app. I tried the Ultimate package and it works far better than I had hoped,, even better that Stadia. Even tho cloud gaming on mobile is still in beta, it works perfectly for me. I'm able to use touch controls and a controller playing Hades on the go and I havent had any problems at all even when I'm just using mobile 4GLTE data. Would definitely recommend to all gamers, pc or console.

Love the app, and it looks great. Works very well, and haven't had any problems. There's lots of cool things you can do, and it's very simple and love the layout. I do wonder though, playing Xbox games on my android device, I can only use one controller. If I use two, they are both player 1. I don't know if this is a Bluetooth thing, game pass thing, or the game itself, but would be cool to see local multiplayer on android devices like the switch almost

This app is not fully optimized for Samsung devices. There's been plenty of times where the screen is too far off centered, and you need to quit the app multiple times just to make it centered. Moreover just playing a game is a bit of a crapshoot considering how much screen tearing there is. When using a laptop on 5Ghz it's acceptable, but using his on the mobile app it's quite terrible. I've used 3 different Samsung phones, and it's pretty much all the same experience. Developers really need to take their time, and pay more attention to the optimizations for Samsung devices. I really expected better from Microsoft. Either that or the service itself needs some work.

Turns my phone into a console. SWEEEEET. 4 stars because cloud servers aren't allowing speeds fast enough. I have gigabit internet, so I am getting speeds as fast as the server allows, and it's not enough. Servers should be upgraded, or just allow people to get more speed. Some of the more demanding games are just impossible to stream at the speeds you give us.

UPDATE: Loving the cloud gaming. This app just keeps getting better. It's a pretty awesome app. If it wasn't, I wouldn't use it. I really like the fact that I can use my phone as a remote. It's come in handy when my cat broke my charging cord for my wireless controller. I like that I can download games to my system & check my stats.

It could be the 5G Wi-Fi, but things are a lot better since they updated the app. The frame rate is less choppy and the games are more responsive. There are some bugs here and there, but not too noticeable anymore. Keep it up Xbox and Microsoft! I really like this app! You guys are Doing great!

Update: just updated to the newest version of game pass and you say you obliterated the bugs you knew about but that's a lie. Multiple people are complaining about not being able to play from the cloud by having their play button greyed out or like me where I don't even see the option to play. Get it together, you were doing so good too. Was a good app but it won't give me the option to play cloud games on my phone anymore on my Galaxy S10. Only gives me the option to install to a console.

the achievements showing up as notifications on my phone are very nice. helps me feel like i am doing a good job in the game, and can return later. messaging is pretty good. make the achievement pictures "add to xbox homepage background" easy. next time you log in, then you can see the last achievement as your screensaver.

Very cool idea and after several updates it's finally has a good flow. My 3 star review really come down to the game pass service and what they provide. Few games provide the DLC content and I'm not talking a single car in forza so something yo that order I'm talking about many of the older games that are incomplete without the dlc. You pay to play the games just not all of it. It's still a good service and remote pay is cool as f but let us play the whole game.

I've been using this for a while but had to finally say something about it. This app is slow, it has always been slow. Doesn't matter me getting a new phone or my old phone it just operates slow. Slow to start, slow to navigate, everything. I don't understand how this can be from a company the size of Microsoft after all this time. Now I can't even scroll through the pictures of a game without the app crashing. I don't know of anyone who would actually rate this as high app quality.

Needs a lot of work. Especially in syncing, and smoothness of play. Frequent crashes, and inability to purchase expansions for games while streaming are a hard hit as well. Sticking to Steam until this gets better.

Does correctly what it is suppose to do, and it is confortable. It would benefit from getting further filters (for example "Optimized for Series X|S") and adding a "sort by" function when you explore available games.

Not sure what changed, but as recently as a month or so ago, I could play fine. Now, even though it's the same controller I've always used, on the same phone I've always used, nothing works. I can open the guide, and the A/B buttons work, but the bumpers, triggers, dpad, and analog stick, are all unresponsive.

App has been messed up more then its been not since I've downloaded it. Majority of the time I can't even play any cloud games because it says I need to be an ultimate pass holder. Which I am then why you try to mess with it to figure it out says you can't sign up for cloud gaming on this app. Was able to mess with it before and get it going now it won't work at all. Glad I waste my money paying for these options to not be able to even use them.

I love being able to see the games new and previously added that are on game pass while not using my Xbox. I would rate 5 stars however I have had trouble in the past downloading games to my xbox using the install option.

The frames overlap. I have no clue why. Sometimes it happens, other times it doesn't. But it make all the games virtually unplayable. Please fix this most irksome bug.

Last 3 days has been terrible experience. Nothing will play, will say my Game Pass Subscription isn't active. Usually works really well where I'm at and play constantly. For not owning console, runs really well 90% of the time but past few days has been worth less. Please fix issue. I've always used a Note20 Ultra 5G

Im having an issue with the games only showing an install to option and never giving way to the play button or option. I used to just restart my phone and that seemed to work but since I updated to the most recent version it no longer lets me select the play option no matter what

Great amount of games, just a few critiques. Why am I not able to buy the games I like and why so expensive compared to the likes of Stadia (£8 per month). Ok, ok you have more games as in alot more games and you very rarely (if ever) have game lag issues & you have games which I want to try out. But is there an option to buy the games and stream them? Is this option available and I'm just not in the know? Do you have plans to lower the price to a competitive level at anytime?

I love being able to play games on my phone and I have had no issues with the cloud syncing my save files throughout my phone, pc and Xbox console which is amazing. However on my phone games lag REALLY bad, to the point where I can barely play them. Some games are worse than others. I have a very solid and strong internet and a good phone. I love the service but I can't play games when they are so choppy :(

Good to be able to check out games from my phone, and download them to my console then keep an eye on the progress. My Xbox downloads while turned off, so for example if I'm relaxing in bed, I can use this to browse games I want to play the next day, then download them straight to the console overnight.

I am using a galaxy note 20 ultra and most of the button functions won't work in game. Its weird because all functions work outside of game play and they work on my console. Like the triggers, control sticks, dpad, and start button. All this started happening after the one UI android 11 update it seems like to me. I'm not sure if this is a known issue or not. App is kinda unusable for me until this issue is fixed. Love the app otherwise, just needs an update and I'll change my rating 😀

If you are a Game Pass subscribed, this app is absolutely one of the best perks. For those days when you can't be with your Xbox (One, Series S|X), you can stream all your favorite games on the go! The app is user-friendly and MS does a great job of keeping it updated. Absolutely recommend both Game Pass and the app!

the new cloud gaming feature on my chrome book kills so much time when im not at home. all i have to do is put my controller in my bag and a whole gaming session is right there. provided theres a stable internet connection this could really become limitless. my one complaint is that you cant cloud game games that you already own that would make my whole year.
