App has worked almost flawlessly for me so far. I'm playing on a Pixel 6 and I have fiber optic Internet at home, so I don't know how it works on lower end devices/internet. When I've tried it on my mobile data some games have been a bit choppy at times. Works way better than I expected still though!
Game Pass is awesome, really an excellent value for the money. However, the Xbox Game Pass Beta app has a distorted resolution on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which shifts buttons around on the home screen. The regular non-Beta app doesn't have this problem.
Provided you have a stable internet connection, this is a totally playable gaming experience. there's been plenty of improvement with this service since I started using it when the beta launched. however I don't think this is the solution Microsoft is looking for to Mobile gaming. I still would prefer a mobile console like the switch or steamdeck, running it natively on the hardware I'm holding. I don't want to have to worry about disconnecting if I get to far away from a wireless access point.
just picked up the razor kishi Android remote. gaming is near flawless, fun, and can be played anywhere, anytime. I struggled with the Xbox remote game clip but now that I have the kishi remote, it's like playing Nintendo switch, but better since it's Xbox game pass with an excellent game selection and the remote folds up when your done. the added bonus is no Bluetooth connection or extra battery needed. so happy I can play on my SGS 20FE. mobile all day!
Graphics glitching now only rarely and briefly occurs. Single player cloud games look and work great. VPN no longer needed. However, now there is often a long delay to launch a game. I find this a good tradeoff for overloaded server capacity. I find my family using GamePass much more often now. CONS: 1. Cloud local multiplayer still disabled (all controllers control player 1). 2. Android TV (sideloaded) interface still awkward (touchscreen sometimes needed). 3. New game launch delays.
It constantly laggs the graphics look like they came from the original Toomb raider the audio sound like it was beaten and thrown into a river and the multiplayer just doesn't work so I do wish I could give you a higher rating then 1 star but it's just not deserved right now fix the app and Ill update my review
Great to keep tabs on my games and look at previews of other games without having to turn my Xbox on.
EDIT 2/16/2022 - Still works great, despite the negative reviews! First experience - 5 stars hands down. Cloud play works surprisingly well, though it's still more of a novelty. Can't wait to see this develop fully! EDIT: Gears 5 is great on mobile, even with the on-screen controls. It's a great example of where cloud gaming can go in the very near future. EDIT2: Get a Razer Kishi to go with this app, zero lag and it makes the entire cloud library much more playable on mobile. 5 stars for both.
Well Hitman 3 or Yakuza 3 on the go shouldn't be possible on phones, but yep, it works well. Amazing work for getting it to work.
I am glad there are patch/update notes. I like knowing the improvements/changes that a update has brought Update: they aren't doing update notes anymore. Revised review to 3 stars.
Xbox Gamepass Ultimate is very cool except the controls and lag is awful. It doesn't register my input from neither GameSir X2 or 8bitdo SN30 Pro Plus controller so well. The video input lags either on wifi or mobile data. Other than it, Xbox Gamepass Ultimate is great for cloud gaming. 3 stars
This was awesome. Last night I was streaming and enjoying myself. And then today, nope, streaming is no longer on option. Not on the game I was playing or any other game. What's the point of the game pass if you can't play? Two apps, and both don't work. It's especially bad because it's Microsoft, you would expect more from them so this is borderline sad.
great app! can be a pain in the you know what... if you don't have a controller attached. plats consistently enough when you have a full 5G, but anything less will have you going losing connection.
Great app for playing game pass titles on the go and earning Microsoft Reward points. Absolutely love it!
This version as well as the other Game Pass app on the Play Store just crashes after a few seconds. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S5 device.
Game details and images do not load, makes the app unusable. Also, please add alt texts for images so we can at least see what the game is in overviews when the image(s) fail to load (or take long).
best gaming app I have seen so far. when it says play anywhere thats what it means. way to go Xbox!! Set the standerds...
This app is fire🔥🚒 The Microsoft Dev Ops and Engineering Teams have come a long way over the years and I am honestly happy to say that I am proud of you guys and all the great work that you all do. Watching the Xbox evolutionize and become what it is today has been a fun and enjoyable experience overall; the best has yet to come as the world keeps spinning; technology and human beings will continually grow and evolve becoming more and more intuitive and user inclusive and realistic as the clou
Don't even know where to start.. I've been playing on this app for a year now, ever since this new update in January I can't play a simple game anymore without the app crashing.. you guys really ruined this app with your useless updates, fix your dam problems and stop giving updates when we don't need them youre just making the app 100 time worse!! Thanks alot
I'm playing on the surface Duo too and I still have to use a controller for much of the games I would give it five stars if I didn't have to use it for any of the games I would like to be able to use the second screen as a controller for all of the games not most of them
Bravo, extremely well executed, mature, stable, fast cloud gaming platform. Best gaming value on the net? 100's of tried and true games from the best developers. Brand new exciting indies. A+++++. I have new xbox controller in Robot white paired w Galaxy 9s+ running latest android. Omg what a beautiful experience, anywhere you go.
Seems to be the best way to okay Xbox cloud at the moment in my experience. I've enjoyed it so much it's actually convinced me to buy another Xbox after being on PC only for the past 2 years. The only things that need improving overall is the input lag and sudden frame drops. You don't seem to get any artifacting on mobile like you so on different platforms like PC, instead you get frame drops. I do think overall that this is the future of gaming however.
Great value for money, Game Pass gives you the chance to try games, before you commit to them, a very good selection of titles, that can only get better, with the upcoming day one releases and the studios that will now be producing games for Game Pass, worth every penny.
works very well with decent input lag but please add 1080p and Android TV support.
ACCORDNG MY experince THATS IT..when the first./+ i login. in i mean XBOX. MY first game that. i choosen game.namefile.need for speed .i click install button when i got it it doesnt work they ask me accounte.email address.rather although i fill emailaddress. *password . thats it. i ll do all formalitiese .according the process all thing done basic terms condition. i just waste my time but i didnt play any game
Works surprisingly well. I expected hardware intensive games to deliver maybe 2 frames per second or buffering constantly... But no. It worked, and well too. With the occasional skips/pauses it's likely to be the old Xperia I'm running it on causing issues. However with a proper controller and the fastest phone you can afford there's real mobile gaming other than Candy Crush or Raid (*F#cKiń*) Shadow Legends... TLDR: Really impressed..
