I like that there is an app but it's slow and more than half the time I'm unable to get logged in. Doesn't recognize my email and bio scan not working either. Very annoying and I really hate attempting to pay over the phone as well. So much repeating and if there is any noise what so ever when on the phone like kids in the background it has a had time recognizing what you say.

Constant crashing, loading, "timing out." Oy. This app is ideal for having a look at your account without being chained to paper mail or a computer. However it is constantly crashing. I try to be patient with a lot of slower apps but I can barely navigate between screens without it "timing out" or straight up crashing. If the app would load and not crash it would be perfect.

I actually really like the interface, but the app is so slow and buggy that it lost a lot of points. Every single time I click on something it sits there spinning for several seconds so it is exhausting to use for any amount of time. That said, once your graph is loaded it is really easy + visual to track our usage & see opportunities to save. There aren't a lot of options to actually make changes to account from the app tho - for example to manage my Windsource subscription I have to go online

This app is useless for its intended purpose. I cannot tender a payment as it crashes in the process. After paying through the website, the payment is not reflected in the app. It still invites me to pay... Not sure what service is on offer with this. On a more positive note, the telephone Xcel experience is awesome... Very efficient and genuinely friendly.

Where do I begin? This app was designed by people who don't know what their doing. Load time is beyond slow. numerous network failures, which are not network. Consistently can't connect to the backend. Overall, a bad design, bad implementation ... But, since it's the ONLY way to interact with this organization, you have little choice.

The app does its job, help me to pay wherever I'm at. It is slow and responsive at times. When it took me to Billmatrix, it used to not tell me what my bill was, but now does show my payment amount. But still, Billmatrix is JUNK. If you don't pay attention, to your decimal placement, your bill of $100.44 for example, you could end up paying $10,044.00 instead. In this modern age, they can't (or won't) utilize an automatic demical placer. Makes me feel like they want me to make a mistake to

In order to setup autopay, you need an online account via the app. When attempting to register, after entering multiple pages of information, the app tells me "Error. Check your info and try again." Which info? There's four pages of info. I tried to contact them via the app and got another error: "Service unavailable exception". Clearly a low budget app. Also, any info I entered that was auto completed by my keyboard was flagged as incorrect for having special characters, so don't paste text.

Couldn't even register my account! 1st- It had an old phone number for my account. 2nd and most frustrating- Would not accept my 3 Security Questions and Answers. Kept getting error message stating something was wrong with my answers and I should review them. There was nothing wrong with them. I checked 3 times! Neither did the app highlight what was wrong. I even reentered all information from the beginning with no luck. 3rd- That error message remained on the screen blocking my sight/entries.

I haven't been able to use the app for months and trying to log in via the website is giving me an error. The app tells me there's a new app to use instead, but all of the links on their website and emails lead to THIS app page. I haven't been able to log in to view account details or update payment information for months.

Horrible App/Horrible Website! Supposed update was supposed to be done by 3/11/22 to the app, still can't get in on 3/13/22 to pay my bill. Can't get in via the website either just goes to a blank screen. No matter what device I use. May have to call in my payment but if I don't then they will penalize me for late payment even though I have been trying since last week to pay it! So NOT mobile friendly.

Usually great. Site says to use the app but the app has been under maintenance for a few days now. How are we supposed to pay the bill when it says bill pay and view bill is not available use below to report outage. Going to get a late fee added on if not fixed soon and if I do I'll be fighting that to get it removed. Strange thing when I search Play Store for the app, it isn't listed. I had to get here through app details.

Fingerprint doesn't work on Pixel 6 Pro. I emailed the developer a month ago, and heard nothing back. Fingerprint is implemented, just incorrectly, so it's not for lack of willingness to implement it either. Also, let's not forget that the app has just been unusable for 31 days and counting...

app is slow and the servers are frequently down. on multiple occasions I've logged in to pay and the website/app has had technical difficulties or they are experiencing an unusual high traffic so I'm unable to use it and unable to pay my bill when I want. this has happened enough times that a it's left me with a negative opnion about Xcel overall. they don't seem to care about their customers since they don't have to because they've monopolized the industry in my area.

App double charged me for a payment and still said I owed the balance after the due date. Calling multiple times got me no where with customer service. Overall it's not a good app or automated phone system. Don't really have to many more options as far as electric goes. So pretty disappointing when this is a basic necessity and this is what they have to offer for services.

Getting everything set up fairly difficult I had to make several calls get things straightened up. The app freezes from time to time, and the fingerprint login does not ever work. However it is useful for paying the bill. I wish they had an option that I could set up online for like a set fee every month I don't know if I can do it elsewhere but it won't let me in the app

This app takes forever to load and is not intuitively set up to function well with the actual service. Accounts are not linked easily and the business makes it difficult to understand. I only gave it 2 stars because once you get it to function, it does show you your bill. Good luck to those who need to use it

App has unavailable features, to include paying your bill... and it's been this way for MONTHS. Pro tip: When upgrading your companies app, have the new update ready to go so that when you cripple the current app your customers aren't left without functionality for MONTHS. As of right now you can't even log in, it says that that feature (i.e. LOGGING IN) is not available and to wait for the new updated app, which I'm sure we'll see by the year 2087 at this rate.

Terrible Development. The app worked pretty good. Then Xcel decided they needed to build a new version. Instead of doing what every other mobile app software shop does, just publish a new version. They decided to kill the functionality of the existing app while they figure out how to finish developing and deploying their new app. To make it worse, the only way I can log in to my account is on the mobile app, my account is broken on web app even after 4 support tix. So they just screwed me. Thx!

Completely broken. I try to log in and it immediately tells me my session has expired and asks me to log in again. Every. Single. Time. Can't get into the app at all. I know it's the right password too because if I put the wrong one in it tells me that the password or username is wrong. Fix your app!

Poor quality with the way it functions and glitches. I seem to be blocked out of using the app, I had to use my browser to make a payment.. and my fingerprint authentication is not working on it either. It might have to do with my recent account update but it is all frustrating. And even when it worked out would always say that my session has expired before every log in.

Does NOT make it easier to pay my bill. I understand that you need to update but I still have to go to their website every time. The app is always down for "updates" during the time of month when I can pay. It has been 3 months since I have been able to use the app. I don't know if it is working the rest of the month because I have no reason to use it except paying my bill. There is limited space on my phone for apps and this one is getting uninstalled for being of no use to me.

Been trying all of March to pay my bill & each day I've tried to log in, I receive an error message, yet the email Xcel sent said it would only be unavailable for bill payment from March 4th-10th. It's now March 12th and I STILL can't log in & received a shut off by notice. I knew already I was behind, hence trying to pay since Feb 26th, yet for whatever reason I STILL can't log in to pay. Will update once "new" mobile app is ACTUALLY ready.

For whatever reason your app is still down and been pulled from the Google Play store. If you are still intending to have an Android app, I encourage you to email your customers telling them you are still working on it. Please don't keep them in the dark. That only pisses people off. Thank you. 4/2/22: Amazing how Xcel Energy can spend tons of money on branding an arena in St. Paul, Minnesota and to be a major radio sponsor of an NHL team and not be able to have a reliable app.

The small percentage of time it works, it's a decent app. But the rest of the time is super annoying. Every month I have issues logging in, can't recognize my fingerprint, has issues logging in at all, pages are super slow to load, if they load at all. I wouldn't use this if I didn't have to.

App is unusable. I spend most of my time loading just for the app to show an error and say it timed out. Can't view bills, make payments or do anything. Not even make a comment on the app about the app itself. The one time I got far enough to confirm a payment the app had an unknown error and closed. Checked my account online and the same payment was made, in-process and scheduled again for the next day. 3 payments charged/scheduled when the app wouldn't confirm due to error.
