XCOM: TBG

When is the timer getting (optionally) removed? Easy mode is well paced, but the scenarios don't show what the game has to offer, but hard mode with timer makes it hard for people to have time to do anything. Why? Because of reading cards, moving pieces, asking someone a question, blowing your nose - theres a list of reasonable, normal things people do. I have been telling people NOT to but this until the feature of added. That's already 3 copies not sold. Just extend the code from easy mode.

I wanted so bad to like it, but a tutorial that's overly complicated and read completely by one person, with no written rules, coupled with short time constraints lead me to just pack it up and give it away.

App called for destruction cards and other items not in the original board game. Took us awhile to realize these extra items were added to newer versions of the game. Correct me if I'm wrong.

A succesfull integration of a boardgame and a tablet.. Every round is a healthy stressfull situation were you have to make hard choices in a short time.

Obviously this app requires the board game to use it, but the app is compact and user-friendly, and the board game is an instant classic.

Hard to medium learning, once learned awesome time burner. It takes awhile to learn.

I very much hate the game. Very long learning curve with less fun and joy. I am sorry I bought this board game.

The app doesn't fit properly inside the One plus 6 screen please fix

Simply the best cooperative Boardgame I've ever played just because there is No alpha player.

Required for board game. Not had any issues with it.

I mean if your looking for something to pass the time or just if your looking for a good game, this is that game.

I thought it was going to be the same game but find out it is a lame version of it the real game that is why I don't like it

The balance of the game is TERRIBLE, even on easy mode, just from the start resources are insufficient to deal with the onslaught the app sends. We tried many times with different people just to see if we where missing something but no. A waste of money on this TBG. El balance monetario del juego con la ap parecen estar mal calculadas. "Still" Wish you could play the board game without the app... :( Would be better without the Timer.

One of the best board games EVER

Terrible insult to Xcom. It has no true pause (amount of total pause time for a game is limited by a clock that it doesn't show you.) Disaster cards are extremely illogical. Especially the flavor texts for ones such as loosing your reasurch. (Somebody confiscating your captured aleins because of inhumane treatment).

Was worried about this when I first heard about it but turns out it is a fantastic integration of a board game with an app that actually adds to the game and really works to drive it forward. Just missing something at the end, beating this game is not that easy and the end graphic is a let down. Adding some kind of epic conclusion scene would take this to a 5-star app. Power drain also needs addressing, have to play plugged in.

First, I have been playing Xcom since the early 1990s. I have played every game... even read the few books that were published through the years... (not good) The XCom: TBG by FFG is a great addition to the series. They really did a bang up job converting the ideas of the game into an actual co-op board game. However, I do have one complaint... the Victory Endgame graphic is a little lackluster... maybe an update to improve it and make winning a little more... exciting.

This is an app that you download so you can play the XCOM board game by Fantasy Flight Games. Don't give the game app a bad rating because you're not paying attention. The very first line of the description tells you this. That said, the board game is a ton of fun and the app is very well implemented.

Well produced, the app does all the leg work and useful information is always at hand if you forget about the rules. The game itself is fun but don't expect it to be a tactical game. It's more of a resource management game... A fun one. The 5 stars is for the app and it's great design. I would give the game itself 4 stars.

I'm a bit Confused with all the bonkers reviewers thinking this is an actual game and giving it a low score. This is an electrical component needed for the board game and it does its job perfectly. Thank you fantasy flight

Awesome game; extremely fast paced and so very manic! Some odd comments by others though. I don't think they understand the point of the app...

Great app integration with a board game. Many of the negative reviews are against the board game itself not the app. Both are great, wonderful integration!

Brilliant game and a brilliant app to support if. Well worth paying if you enjoy board games.
