Horrible and unusable app these days. We cannot access email on new phone. IMO, it was a bonehead move to get rid of xfinity connect. I don't like Outlook at all. Even on my computer, it's ridiculous to get to email now. For the price we pay, using your apps should be easier for your customers, not harder. We are now rethinking our options.

I'm very disappointed to see the app being discontinued. I rely on it to see and respond to emails quickly throughout the day. I shouldn't have to go through a web portal just to check my email, especially when I'm on the go. If other email programs can maintain an app, so should you, especially since you offer mobile services.

I previously left a 5-star rating... before things started going wrong with the app. And despite complaints to fix the problems, nothing has been done. Primarily, on my phone, I can receive mail but I can't send mail but instead get an error message that says it wont send and will go to Drafts folder, which it doesn't do so I lose the email entirely!! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that only works for about 24 hours. So, 2 stars it is!

I'm deleting this app since it's way too slow and not very user friendly for checking Emails. After you finally get logged it, if you're lucky to get that far, the options are limited, the features take you in circles and the speed of opening Emails and maneuvering throughout this site are terrible. Also good luck if you have two accounts and you want to switch between the two. It would be faster to send a letter through the mail or drive to the recipients house.

For about a month I had problems syncing this app on my cell phone. I uninstalled and reinstalled it several times for a few days. Eventually, I stopped using it for several weeks. I logged in online for my emails that worked, but was not user friendly. Last week while talking with Comcast about Contract renewal, I told them about this technical email issue. Apparently, the app version I was installing over and over was an older version. Now I am happy again with the correct Xfinity Connect app.

You can hook your regular home phone in your xfinity wifi router and it will do your phone calls just fine. Also, you can utilize your mobile phone the same way. The only problem is that it offers text messaging functionality is completely removed and the application is going away entirely. I think it's to assist with the sale of xfinity's new cell phone service. It's really to bad, because this app was a pretty decent service thats getting canceling itself for profit in another way.

It has been working quite well until these last 3 days. I have updated the app and the performance is very weak. I have uninstall and install right now at 7X to make it function to make outgoing calls and text messages but still receive error messages and connection fail notification. I am very displeased with the app. I hope adjustments and these bugs can be worked out. It has been a convenient app for me upto 3.5 years. I will be greatly disappointed to uninstall it for the final time.

The layout is clear and understandable, plus your folders can be synced across all of your accounts, even picks up contacts saved. I like the way you can view either by date or sender/topic , and then can delete by the page. I can even change the color to suit my mood. 🥳 Can be viewed on the internet or from the app. Everything in one place , good job!

I am using a Galaxy Tab A with S Pen which was recently updated to Android Oreo 8.1. Now Connect crashes/freezes and I cannot get to my emails. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. I have the app installed on my Note 9 phone and it works perfectly. The operating systems are the same on both devices. Since my last review the app has stopped working on my Note 9. The email headers will download, but it won't download the message. Don't know what is going on.

I have used this app for many years, for both my email and to get Voice2Go notifications from my Comcast landline. I am extremely disappointed and irritated that Comcast is doing away with this app. Being able to access a webpage version that will not give me notifications is practically worthless as an alternative. And having to switch to call forwarding every time I leave my house is more of an inconvenience than not having it at all. All typical of Comcast and how they treat customers.

And exactly why was this app discontinued? Some of the features were you could easily access emails, set up to receive detailed email notifications outside of the app and forward home phone calls/messages on your cell. The app that replaced it does none of these things and you have to jump through hoops just to get to your emails. Way to go Comcast 👎👎.

This app will rarely allow me to open emails over wifi. "connection could not be established. Please try again later" I can see the email previews. But they don't load when opened. Often hard to send emails too. They get stuck in the outbox. Works OK if I turn off wifi, or am away from home, but then it's easy to forget to turn wifi back on, which wastes data. isn't as easy to operate as when I originally had Comcast Email a few years ago. Harder, if not impossible, to add files and very difficult to add new rules for files, especially to help with spam. Audio voice mail rarely works, and it over ride my original voice mail function on our phone system. Before I could change settings, and I haven't seen where to do that, it's not as user friendly. Worst of all, with last update my entire address book was lost and I didn't have much stored on my

If I had signed up with Comcast specifically because of this wifi service app, I would have cancelled my plan by now. 90% of the time this app actually connects to wifi, the cell provider's signal is significantly better, to the point that I usually have to close this app in order to use my mobile phone effectively. And my carrier is SPRINT. How bad does your service have to be to be worse than Sprint? I understand the concept. And it's a good idea. But the actual service is pretty much garbage. I would be happy to hear from the company if others in my area have had better results. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. But I doubt it.

I would love for this app to work correctly. I've made multiple calls to Comcast. They finally agreed with me that the app is not working properly. What's happening is my home phone is being forwarded to my cell phone through the app even though call forwarding function is not on. The app also does not give me notifications that bew email has arrived even though the notifications are set to do so. Please fix the app so I don't have to buy an email app so i don't have ads. Thank you!

This app used to work great, however now it cannot open emails from some domains. You can view the emails just fine using the internet site. This is quite annoying, especially seeing one of the sites that has problems is one of my banks. This issue really needs to be fixed! Trying to open an email from one of these sites just states: Something went wrong. Try again in a few minutes. Of course it never works! FIX THIS APP!!!

What good is an e-mail app if e-mails will not open? After numerous uninstall/reinstall efforts, replacing the Comcast modem, it still does not work when connected to home WiFi. When WiFi is turned off, no problem. This occurs no matter what device I use. Comcast has been aware of this problem for some time, yet they are either unable to fix the problem or they just can't be bothered.

This app does not work well for email. First it loads VERY slowly. However, what is worse is that I cannot reply to an email unless I shut down my device and restart in recovery mode then perform "clear cache partition". That allows me to send "only" that reply. upon restart. I have to repeat this step for every single reply. This was not always the case but it has become the norm unfortunately which means the app is just a step or two above useless for communicating.

Not sure what's going on with the Xfinity connect app had an issue the first week of August finally got it corrected. Starting this past Saturday the 10th of October. The app started acting up again. Will not download emails and allow them to open until I uninstall the app and then reinstall it. I've done that since Saturday about 12 times (at least) and still doing it. After reinstalling the app it might work for an hour possibly two and then it fails. Hopefully Xfinity can look into this.

Easy to use, well organized app with full capability. I have Xfinity email and landline voicemail, but you can text, call, and contacts are always handy. When I first started using the Connect app, landline calls were automatically forwarded to my cell. It doesn't use up much of your data. All your folders are right there via a drop down box, search feature is great. Access to "My Account" is available through Settings. Just a very clean and useful app. Thanks, Comcast!

The app is okay when it works. Adding attachments can be a pain and usually results in a failure to send. Comcast spam filters constantly remove important emails like those from my child's school and member newsletters from a club I belong to. But I think the most important reason for the 2-star rating is that no matter what phone I have used this app on, it rarely can open emails while connected to Xfinity Wi-Fi. If I disconnect from Wi-Fi and use my cell carrier's data, everything works.

This app just doesn't cut it. I have spent over a year and over 5 trouble calls which were escalated to tier 3 support and no one can keep it working for more than a few hours. And no one can figure out why it won't report my call history. You don't even need the app to get the same functionality. Use your e-mail app (android or ios) for e-mail, and set up advanced call forwarding to have your cell phone ring when a call comes in to your home phone #.

Review updated 3/11/21. I have really liked this app to get my emails on my phone. I got notifications when new mail arrived. As of April, 2021 this app will no longer work and I'll have to access a web page for emails. This is hugely disappointing! I won't get notifications and I won't know when important emails arrive. Not a good move Comcast! Very unhappy with this decision!

When the app is updated it works well, however it needs more frequent updates to keep it working smoothly. For instance it has been almost 2 1/2 months since last update, for the last several weeks the app keeps trying to take control of my background apps, whenever I open the Xfinity app. Especially keeps turning on my my "Wifi" after I keep turning it off. Wish apps didn't require all the permissions granted to them to have control of your phone just so you can use their services.

I am in the same boat as everyone else. All a sudden this app will not open emails, they populate, but will not open. I have to uninstall and reinstall for the app to work for a short time and then it refuses to open emails so I have to go through the whole process all over again. This needs to be fixed ASAP as I get all my work assignment requests through email. I am losing job assignments over this issue.

Fal. C. May 13, 2019

The app doesn't always show when a call is coming in, and the call log isn't always accurate. I've got voicemail messages from people that don't even show in the log. The notification about incoming calls is buggy and sometimes sticks to the notification bar and cannot be dismissed until I get annoyed enough to reboot my phone. On top of all that, you have to hit some things twice to get it to acknowledge your button press.

I love this app when it works like it's supposed to, which is MOST of the time. Access to email, home phone calls and texts to the wrong number is extremely convenient. It occasionally gets stuck downloading email, though, and my phone gets hot to the touch. An uninstall and reinstall does the trick for several more months.

I've used this app for almost as long as we've had Comcast... and am very happy with it. It is very convenient when we're out and about or I'm too just lazy to access my desktop. The only glitch is my emails always arrive in 10 point font on a friend's phone no matter what we do.. It works fine with everyone else's. Weird. Nonetheless, its a good app and plays nice with my ancient Samsung.
