Xfinity Mobile Voicemail

The Xfinity Mobile Voicemail app allows customers with a compatible device to listen and manage your voice messages. You can play, share, delete, reply to and if available, view transcriptions of your voice messages. In addition, you can also manage and record greetings.

This app requires a subscription to Xfinity Mobile service and is only compatible for use with the following devices:

Samsung Galaxy Series S7, S8, S9, Note 8, Note 9
LG Stylo 4, LG X Charge, LG X Power
Motorola E5

The developers finally listed compatible devices. It would save a lot of people trouble if they had done this earlier and placed this list in the first part of the app description. It worked great on my S8. I have a Galaxy S20+ 5G. When trying to get it to work with customer service, the normal dial-up voicemail said my number was invalid and the app didn't work as well. The settings had to be reset with tech support several times.

Would give 0 stars if I could. This app didn't work correctly on my Samsung S10 Plus and it doesn't work correctly on my Samsung S22 Ultra. Sometimes I don't get a notification I got a voice message. Sometimes I don't get a message at all. It doesn't transcribe any of the messages ever. I have tried different settings, making sure my permissions on my phone are set correctly, making sure I have the latest update, and restarting my phone. It seems Comcast has no desire to fix these issues.

Terrible!!! My mailbox is empty but tells everyone it is full and can't leave a message! Have spent hours with tech trying to fix without success! Hate this app and can't change! UPDATE: All of a sudden my voicemail box is empty. But now people tell me they left a message for me but my box is always empty and I don't get any messages! Went from bad to worse!!!

Just can't rely on this app. For at least a month I don't get notification of new voicemail. Weirdly, whenever I restart the phone, I get notications for all the previous ones that I didn't receive notifications for right away. I have unselected/reselected the notification settings and uninstalled/reinstalled the app with no change in behavior. Very frustrating since this is not the first problem I've had with this app. Phone is Samsung S9.

Not a good experience. Speakers have to be turned on for every voicemail everytime you want to listen to it. Neither xfinity nor phone manufacturer can find setting to change to auto - why would voicemail turn off the sound? Transcript unavailable error message also comes with each voicemail so you can't read them either. Pretty much sucks.

Very disappointed with this app. After using visual voicemail successfully for about 4 years, with my Samsung S8, I lost this functionality after I changed my phone to the Samsung S22. No one at Xfinity was able to help me with the problem. This is after spending several hours with a chat session and a live rep. I found several references by other people with similar problems but no meaningful response from Xfinity.

App doesn't work and hasn't worked. I followed up by emailing the address provided, which only responds with a form email. I followed every step in the email, and it resolved nothing. I'll now move onto calling. Update! After spending several frustrating minutes traversing the robo-line employed by Comcast (seriously, an almost unusable and unnecessarily difficult system), I got a human who confirmed that Comcast is inept, and doesn't support common phones on the market. Cool. No voicemail.

If I could give app and xfinity 0 I would. I figured out what is wrong with phone, not getting my voice-mail, by reading a rating on the app below. I have a S10 and everything was fine until I downloaded the upgrade. The company itself has THE WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. Leave it to them to have and upgrade like this. Xfinity cares only about their bottom line not their customers. That's why I switched to Glofiber for my internet (to bad they don't have cell service).

DO NOT USE! My voice-mail was working fine on my xfinity mobile phone but the second I logged into this app it stopped. I had it reset but once again it stopped. When I got help the 2nd time the xfinity mobile support team told me to specifically avoid this app because it does NOT work and to use the voice-mail app my phone came with. I deleted the app and they reset my voice-mail and it has worked without any problems. If you're having problems with your voice-mail it is because of this app.

Does not work with the Samsung 22+phone. Uninstall and reinstalled many time reset phone and it still dose not work. I was told by the service department that it worked. But they are wrong. I do not want to go through their auto voice response system again. I would give their support group a 2 out of 10.

Why is this an app? I just switched providers and downloaded this app. Nothing. Everytime I open the app it asks me to switch voicemail clients. I've not gotten a visual voicemail since I switched. Not on this app and not on the built in app. Update-Chatted with CS and it still doesn't work. Update #3 still not getting voicemail notifications. Not on this app not on the Samsung app. I had 0 issues with my previous carrier. This APP is garbage. Just discard it and start over.

This app sucks with the ultra 22 does not work at all and the technical department tried everything including switching sim card. They app was reset multiple times with the regular voicemail but when I enter the Xfinity voicemail it would give me a error message and I'd have to call technical support to reset. Finally they told me to delete this app and use regular voicemail, now I didn't have visual voicemail. It's not a deal breaker but do not offer if you can't provide the service.

Poor left AT&t mobile to get a $30 discount cell phone bill. if I knew it was going to cost me my voicemail I would have never switched over to Xfinity mobile. I wish I would have only read the reviews before I made the switch I would have never left AT&t you would think a big company likes Xfinity that they would try to correct and update their app but they have done nothing for it. Not a thing at all. Even employees at the store or on the phone. Can't resolve it neither.

Horrible app... never shows that I got a voicemail! Every call I miss I have to open the app to see if someone left a message, because I missed important messages and didn't know till it was too late. And most of the time the app won't even play the message. You hit play and see the bar moving but don't hear anything! So I'm forced to call into the voicemail box to listen. This is literally the worst app I have ever used. Going to have to see if another carriers app works properly so I can remove this waste of space.

open voicemail app and it's in a continuous loop of "authorization in progress" for setting up voicemail that I set up almost two years ago. I now have to dial my own number to listen to my voicemail. Something has rendered this app useless... Thanks for the reply from the developer, but I resolved the problem myself. Updated to three stars for the quick reply, but I shouldn't have had to fix anything since the older version (two or three revs back worked flawlessly). Testing, testing, testing..

The bugs have NOT been fixed, at least on my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S9. I have looked at every setting everywhere and read countless tips and still this problem cannot seem to be fixed. It is very frustrating to have a phone that does not show you when you have voicemails - as it is primarily supposed to be a phone!! And this is just one of maybe 15 or so different issues I have had since getting this phone in December. Gotta say I never had these issues with Apple. PLEASE actually fix the bugs!

Horrible app. Real POS. Has not worked since we switched from Verizon. I cannot work without VM, so likely headed back to Verizon in the near future. Been on and off the phone with support for three weeks, resetting network configurations and all sorts of stuff. What was worse is that they said they would open a ticket and I would get an email outline that info. Two weeks later, I have still not heard from Xfinity.

Doesn't work at all after last update. it wasn't good before, very slow. Now it freezes every time i try to use it. It's ridiculous that a company like Xfinity is not able to create a simple decent working app. Talked to Xfinity. They weren't able to resolve the issue. Said I had to wait until the next update which they had no idea when it was going to be released. For now it seems reasonable to them that we just have to make do without a voicemail app.

I love that it transcribes voice mails into text. But it has now said "Authorization in Progress" for 5 days. This is unacceptable. I also use this number as a work phone and have no idea how many voicemails I have missed. I've tried turning off and restarting my phone, force stopping the app, and leaving the screen open for hours. I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling because I am afraid I will lose all current and stored voicemails.

I am having the same experience as others regarding voicemail notifications. In fact, I just got off the phone with Comcast and they reset my voicemail and told me to call back dialing *86 to set my new password and all my notifications will come. Well, they DIDN'T!!! I have no issues with the service otherwise, but I was looking for a job and I lost out because I did not know I had a voicemail. This needs to get fixed right away. It has to be an app issue or a bug in the voicemail itself.

App not working. Was not receiving notifications for months, which was annoying but I remembered to check whenever I missed a call and I didn't miss messages that way. Now, I get notifications, but the app will not allow me to play the message nor does it load a transcription. It just says "Audio not available, pull down to refresh." But when I pull it down, most of the time nothing happens. It doesn't refresh most of the time, and when it does I still can't access my message.

Original Comment: [1 star] "not working at all. stuck on first screen" Bottomline: Not all phones will be able to get voicemail notifications, in particular, those not sold by Xfinity and expecially those on older Android versions. Details: An Xfinity Mobile agent called me and tried all that was reasonably possible to troubleshoot, test, and attempt to resolve the matter very proficiently and with definite technical understanding! Ultimately, this could not get resolved due to the phone model I use (not an Xfinity Mobile phone), but customer service on this issue was nothing short of stellar! This experience definitely enhances my loyalty. Keep it up!

Seems to be abandonware. Hasn't worked since July, can't switch to Android/Samsung default vm app either. Nothing but "we had trouble loading this screen" and "unable to connect." Tried emailing the support email listed, it's just an automated message to try the basic BS and call support if it doesn't work. So glad I took the time to lay out my problem in detail and provide my account info as instructed in another reply from "the creator".

This app worked for the first week that I had the phone. Now I am unable to delete voicemails and retrieve messages that people leave me. As other people have said, clearly this is an app issue and not an individual phone issue, too many people are having problems, for a long time it appears. If support can fix individual problems and we are all basically having the same problem why can the app not be fixed?!?

*update* emailed and support responded quickly, although the app started working correctly before I tried their solution! No problems, works! I don't get new voicemails or notifications of new ones with this app anymore. Can't delete any of them or set them as new anymore. Stumbled into my actual Voicemail by dialing my number and listening in, which I haven't had to do in YEARS and found new messages there. Disappointed as it seemed to work fine when it was first installed a few months ago.

Not a fan of this app. Voicemails appear a day late and are frequently unavailable to access. Another key feature missing is any sort of notification or icon change to indicate a new message is available. Unfortunately the app has not improved in over a year - has Comcast given up on it? Comcast support - please do not insult me by copy/pasting your standard response that you are sorry for the problems and to please contact support. These problems are long standing and there is no excuse for the app not working properly.

The WORST VM app ever. I get a new voicemail about every 30 minutes or so due to the nature of my employment, however the "new" voicemail that appears is an old one from months ago. This happens every time. EVERY TIME. Ive had help trying to fix the problem but its been over a year. Xfinity voicemail is absolute TRASH. If I could give it a worse rating I would. Thank you for nothing.

they copied the idea from verizon and tmobile but it never works right. I like having visual voice mail so I can just go through quickly and see what is important or not. The transcripts are horrible but sometimes they get it. volume is too low for somw reason and if you don't access it for a while i.e. you answer all your calls it will deactivate and you will need to click on it to have it activate again. You won't know when this is happening so you wont have a voice mailbox.

The Motorola G7 power is not compatible with the Xfinity Mobile voicemail app. However, you can use Google voice then forward your voicemail to your Google voice number to get transcription. Sorry for the inconvenience as the device you are using is not compatible

I don't get notifications on my VM. So there fore I never know when I have messages without looking at my phone all the time. For checking for messages or voice messages 🤔. Non of my notifications work really don't know when I get a phone call. Missed calls have no notifications. Both shows no lights letting me know I missed a call! I have to go in after someone says I called you. Not Good!
