No privacy. Change something, all contacts are notified. Cannot trust the App to NOT notify them. Disabled these notifications, still happening. Would like to use it, but no privacy. Why?!
App is okay, but a little counter-intuitive bc things are in different places than on the Web. Also not sure if the Story feature makes sense in Xing, especially if it's only available in the app. Haven't seen it being used by anyone of my contacts. A little bug: Language settings are taken from the system and cannot be overridden. Although my system settings are English, I want Xing to be in German. Parts of the app (the parts that are embedded from the web site) are in German, tho

Overall pretty good. One really big minus: the push notification features one specific news article. By pressing it I only get to the news page where I can choose the news article I want to read. Often this ends in the frustration of taking too long to find the specific featured news article I am really interested in (@Xing: please don't autoreply. Everything you need to reproduce is written here. I don't want to provide more detail for stuff that is simple like that). Otherwise the app is nice to use but not perfect in every way (bad UX on home page). Pretty average, hence 3 stars. Edit: Read more in messages doesn't work anymore. The mobile app pretty much becomes useless since for most messages I need to go to the web page :/ (@Xing: see above)
Nice app, but don't forget to ask cancellation for your premium account 3 weeks before your annual payment. Money is taken automatically from your credit card as given in the agreement terms. No refund. I can't call them thieves, but I was just robbed in 120 euros for a year subscription that I don't need. Watch out for the written lines in small letters, you have to read the agreement terms very carefully.
Terrible service. I requested the premium subscription for a year and after that period they automatically renewed the contract for another year charging almost 3 times the first year period. It's a horrible customer experience service because they don't inform you regarding the expiration and the platform doesn't even allow you to remove your own billing information. For me this is a bad user experience if you want to provide your client transparency and respect.
While opening messages in android, it says 'sorry, but something went wrong' But on web it's working
This app is not lasting for me,if I sign up it will not reach a minute it will just block me I'm very tired of signing up
You have to give three weeks notice to cancel your premium membership. Hey, the 90s called, they want their shady business practices back!
DON'T GET PREMIUM!!! It needs to be cancelled 1 month before the 1 year membership is over, else they will charge you almost 100 euros for another year. This App is absolute mess. They will not send you reminder that your membership will extend and it's be automatically renewed. I have experience with other Apps but they sent me reminders. I contacted with customer service, but unfortunately they behaved impolitely. I recommend anybody: Don't Use This App.
VERY DISAPPOINTED. Although using their paid services were adequate and helpful, it turns out that Xing is one of those company that would automatically renew all your subscriptions. They will only inform you at the time of billing that the subscription was renewed and that you will be billed. I am VERY disappointed to learn that Xing is another company that would rather "trick you" into paying for its services rather than believing in its own services and products to have you come back again.
If there is anything thing lower than one 🌟 I would have given it , I waste my data and time for this stupid app, within some hours I can't log in again ,the start telling me trash ,just give me back my data bundle
DON'T GET PREMIUM!!! App works great. They will however send you great offers for Premium Memberships that seem cheap. It is hard to find how to cancel that Premium Subscription once you are in. Also it needs to be canceled 3 Months before the 1 year membership is over. Else they will charge you almost 100 Euros for another year. They will NOT send you reminders that your Membership will extend.Also they will NOT be accomodating and allow you to cancel your membership if it automaticaly renewed.
This app is so well thought out that it is possible to take images and send them as message (as if WhatsApp and 200k other apps weren't enough) but this "professional networking" app won't let you send your CV as a direct message because that would be too easy. You have to ask for email address , copy email, open email client, paste email, attach cv and send it. I hope the team lead of this app gets a bad rash where the sun doesn't shine.
Very bad, do not pay for nothing, no benefits comes from it, if you pay, those are memberships and no reminder is sent to you before renewal, it looks like 1 time payment, but after 3 months u will see the money gone from ur account. It's even difficoult to cancel the membership.
Not user friendly interfaces/pages/options provided. Being a new user to Xing, i did not like the experience of how i had to figure out creating my entire profile. Linkedin is a good example Xing developers can learn & implement from.
for some reason the app chat only supports uploading images but not pdfs. Weird for a business networking application.
Unprofessional!! Do not Buy Premium!! The way to cancel the premium is even more difficult then a Treasure hunt. No emails confirming cancellation and then renew automatically without prior notice. Highly unprofessional for a company that Tries to offer a product for professionals!! Disappointed!!
Scummy subscription policies. Subscription will be automatically prolonged even if you don't have money to pay they will just send you an invoice. It also requires to unsubscribe to cancel it 3 weeks in advance. Never again.
There is no way around Xing as a pro network if you intend to do business and keep in touch with your partners in German-speaking countries. The app interface is good, nothing i can complain about.
Not recommended. Especially using the premium and projobs. This links to contracts with quite big amonts (which are not shown in the app). The contracts are automatically prolonged if not cancelled in time.
Too expensive. I got 145 Euro auto deducted from my account without any notice. Be careful making subscriptions. It's not worth it. Cancellations are are not in the app or playstore also. I had a hard time finding how to unsubscribe.
Not A bad app but pretty much everything useful needs a expensive subscription.. To the Xing team. Make more available without subscription or drop your price substantially. Your competition will otherwise have it to easy
Very worst experience even while creating a profile. Not even able to add another work experience without subscribing premium. How is it even possible for a fresher to subscribe and pay a big amount of money, even if anyone purchase a subscription too... They won't even be getting a job from this app anytime soon.
Impossible to cancel the subscription via the App or browser. They did everything in their power to remove this option. I definitely recommend staying away from paid subscriptions with this company.
I am annoyed to see always advertisement to force for paid version, if I am interested in, I can go for it, do not need to be reminded continuously. Otherwise it is a fine app.
App shows me people which I don't know. 2-3 people and it is getting more and more appear on my news feed. Maybe they were on my friend list and I deleted them more than 2-3 months. I don't have any similar friends we are not in the same groups or something but it shows me their posts. I complained several times (Xing), but nothing has been changed. Dear team, I have to 1 star, cause there many things that need to be corrected.
