I have owned the Jeep headlights for a year and a half now and it's been one big nightmare. Controllers are constantly breaking and this app will no longer pair. I wouldn't put their product in my next Jeep if they paid me to. Garbage..
app microphone control won't turn off after closing the app. On occasion the manual and light pattern tabs won't load or allow input to be made. I'm using Samsung Galaxy Zfold 3.
Flawless! If you want to run 2 different channels (colors) at the same time you have to remember to select it in the menu on the top (1)or(2) and it will save to every start up so if you like something specific it will always start up the same color scheme. Thanks great app! Great product! I want to get the 7" headlight next.😁
Ever since the last update my lights have been acting up. When I park at a car even used to set up my light to strobe like a police car. But now when I set them up when I go walk around and check out the other beautiful rides and I come back my lights are stuck On Light Blue color i have to turn them off and back on or just close the app and reopen it and pick the theme i want. Its frustrating when paid so much for a feature and now it dont work as intended to. But when it work, it's a charm!!
One major gripe. The app opens up into "the circle" which is a social media type platform kind of like Instagram. People can share their photos etc. I wish the app opened up into the color control section. This is first and foremost a color control app, not a social media app. At the least,give the user an option to choose where the app opens up into.
xkglow claims its a 30ft-ish range, sitting inside my vehicle i have to move phone around to find the devices. after five ft away from vehicle it stops working. receivers are located directly under hood (can see when open). also, in app, sequences will sometimes NOT work even when solid colors continue to do so. also had issues trying to turn sequences off. already tried resetting/reinstalling app. still having random issues.
Using my Note9 and setting the lights to blue, they revert back to white after 3 seconds. I loaded app on my wife's iPhone 11 and they work as advertised. Seems there is a disconnect with Android... Update: Bought a new Android (S20), no more issues.
Absolutely love the LED's. But the one thing that really needs to be improved is the ability to stream music from either Spotify or Apple music. It kind of upsets me that I'm not able to play music through Spotify, since I use it for the majority of my music.
Bought this system and installed it temporarily on my bike, turned on the lights and man were they awesome... THEN tried to sync it with my Galaxy 10, my son's Galaxy 10, and my wife's Galaxy 10, NOTHING!!! Tried my daughters iPhone and was able to sync it in a flash and everything worked perfectly! Unfortunately, I'm not buying a ridiculously priced iPhone so I can use the lights... Oh well, lesson learned!!! Oh, and YES, I tried EVERYTHING from updating my phone to resetting the lights
Operating in Bluetooth it can only connect to one side , you guys need to integrate wiring to work both sides ,I know both sides come up when searching Bluetooth but I believe only one will connect at a time ,currently there is not a device that can connect to two Bluetooth devices at once
I cant get the app to work properly with my galaxy S9. when the app starts up and I try to adjust the lighting, it causes the lights to flicker but not adjust in any way. I tried it with my tablet and it works fine, but not with my S9. update and reply: all software is up to date on the S9. when I use the S9, in order to use different modes, I have to turn off and on the connection from the apps menu. once I do that then I can switch to another mode.
I have been enjoying this in my car until tonight when it started crashing and closing the app every time I try to create a new color pattern on music menu to go along with the beat. I emailed jist now to get support but I am also posting here to see if there is any way to fix that.........
Baught 2 kits UPDATE:: 1 controller was bad, they sent a replacement, now both controllers work great i have an LG-G4 with android 6... One of the main reason i bought these is for the brake/turn, which doesn't work on my bike (signals flash orange - and i have red flashing signals ). Would be nice if they had an option to have them flash red instead of orange,, maybe they can do an update to include that option.. That's the reason for a 4 star
Love xk glow but since the update my Bluetooth doesn't connect with any of my lights. I've restarted my phone turned Bluetooth on and off and even turned off the controllers and still can't connect them to my phone. Hope the developers see this and fix the issue quickly so I can have them work again.
Amazing led app and the let's this company makes puts almost everyone else to shame! Amazing customer service backs their great product! I have had a few things fail but as soon as I call and they verify my purchase there are no more questions asked they just replace my failed product. I will always continue to do business with them because of the Amazing customer service I have received on a continued basis! Thanks XKGlow!!!
We Would of gave 5⭐'s if we could figure out how to/get the music to sync added music from phone playlist is added but dang thang won't sync music plays only on the phone. Fix issue/problem then will be good. Or maybe I just got a defaulted which would be/is a No Bueno
Lights look awesome! I have 23 lights on my Harley Heritage and about 18 on my sons HD they look great. Little bit of a rough patch with the 8.0 connection issue but now everything is working great again. My favorite is the break light feature, I feel much safer with that option connected.
I really love these lights! I installed the 2in1 RBG lights. The only issue I have is that sometimes on headlight will disconnect from my phone while driving. They don't seem to have a far distance range while inside my car.
Used it for my boat and it added so much fun to the party! The music function is very responsive. I even get to select colors that I like to dance with the song. Thinking about getting them for my Mustang too.
Love the LEDs and the app controls are very nice. HATE the new "Circle" social feature and how it defaults to that screen every time I start the app. 5 stars if they change default startup screen to [last used] or [Palette] like it used to...
The chameleon function that allows you to catch a color is pretty badass. The app can customize how the light reacts when the sensor wire is triggered. Default used it as brake but I used it to a red strobe mode which intensified the attention on my bike when riding at night. Absolutely a 5 STAR!
I just had this installed. 1250.00 for an entire underbody and wheel kit and app locks up and continuously disconnects less then 2 feet from car. Very disappointed. I have a Galaxy S9. Connects to everything and holds strong connection except for this.
This app controls the XKglow controller flawlessly. The controller is connected to XBT Prism Profile halos. All colors are accessible and defaults to yellow when powered off then on as stored in the XKChrome app. I'm curious whether those who rated the app as 1 or 2 stars from 2018 to early 2020 are still experiencing the same challenges after implementing advice from XKglow or after app updates. If these ratings were updated with renewed positive or similar critical information as before, this would be invaluable to the new user to assess whether the app functions have evolved. This app functioned significantly(!) better than another RBG controller app that has a much lower rating. In addition, the video support for operation and troubleshooting from various users is also broader for the XKglow controller than similar RGB controllers.
Second controller sent by company : device cannot stay connected to the phone, and once the controller disconnects- it goes into a periodic flashing mode that cannot be reset by cycling power, reinstalling app, or holding down on the "button" as the manufacturer says to do. Have tried this with Galaxy S10+ with Android 9, Galaxy S7 edge with Android 8, Sony Xperia XZ3 with Android 9. Hell, I'd buy an iPhone if I knew it would resolve the issue
The lights are bright but why do they just come on seems like everytime I look out the window or go to get in car the lights are on then when I open the app it shows they are not turned on but they are on so I have to turn on via the app then turn back off to get them to shut off I paid $350 for them and they are junk and all customer support says is to reset controller well I did that and they still will just turn on randomly throughout the day I would give 0 stars if I could
Horrible. Won't connect. I've done all the troubleshooting. When I try to pair it says "app required to pair".
