Good camera picture acquisition, but deplorable error handling. I have switched to WiFi only to ensure if I get a dropout on the train home I don't lose the receipt. Didn't work out though. Although you can upload multiple receipts you shouldn't in case either the internet drops (train journey) or you decide to change apps, refresh Rydoo, leave your phone alone, or whatever. At which point any in-flight receipt scans will be lost, including the original picture. Good luck figuring out which receipts relate to which scanned information and which you'll need to do again. When it works, it works well. When it doesn't it ejects the whole transaction without either trying again, or letting you know which receipt has failed so you'll just have to go through them all one by one. Hardly a time saver.
This app is just terrible... I am forced to use it for work. It never opens when I need it. Just removed it and reinstalled it and it still doesn't work.... The website isn't an option on your phone because they don't have a mobile version! Ha! Update: Clearly you can't see what version I am running, when an update comes out I update them. Your app is junk.
If I could give this app zero stars, I'd go there. Presently, I can't even start the app, a bug in the startup process causes the app to hang on the loading screen. Contacted customer support, they told me to clear my cookies and cache - there's no cookies and cache in an app, whan whan! Next, the times I've been able to use the app, the receipt scanning process is buggy and slow, and images randomly fail to upload. It's unreliable at best.
great idea, bad execution. the app has some basic user experience flaws and is unreliable. for example, i once scanned a receipt and Rydoo showed it as "processing". so i threw the receipt away. next thing i know it had not been processed and the photo of my receipt was gone. i couldn't expanse it -.- overall it looks good but it has terrible interaction and way too many fields to fill in. Employers should be able to costumize it and hide options from the employees!
Really good app. Easy and simple!
The app Is unreliable. Sometimes the expense simply doesn't upload from the app, and you have to try multiple times. The expense gets market in the app as "upload unsuccessful" and later disappears altogether. I had to resort tô sending the picture to my laptop to upload from the website. Biggest problem here Is that you can't just submit the expense and forget about it. You need to double-check everything. Every expense then takes 10 minutes to submit rather than only 1 minute.
This is a wonky app that works best if you manually add your receipts. They need to add a manual option to by pass the auto upload and processing. Instead you have to wait until it uploads and starts processing to hit "skip processing". The reason it works better manually is it doesn't consistently read the receipts correctly forcing you to correct them anyway. Good accounting idea, wonky app unless you use it manually.
image upload frequently fails and requires re-entry of the whole expense; UI is sluggish; my choice to skip image analysis and enter details manually is often ignored (app behaves as if I tapped Back instead), leaving me stuck for a while; UI does not auto-refresh where it intuitively should and then shows incorrect messages (e.g. that analysis is ongoing when it isn't); apk is huge for an app with few features that shouldn't be more than a thin client for a cloud service.
I have had a bad experience with the company. When my subscription renewed they charged me 27 times (=2,500 EUR) until my Visa card blocked them. Getting reimbursed was cumbersome, I lost quite a bit of time emailing/making phone calls. A compensation would have been appropriate at this point. I like the app, and will continue to use it but I hope the customer experience is very different for other customers.
This is a great app. I am not a great app fan but Rydoo saves a huge amount of time when requesting reimbursement. Absolutely a fantastic app, certainly not a waste of time. Big supporter here.
The previous version of the app was quite useful and I reported really a lot of expenses using that. Looks that now the app was significantly refresher or maybe even rebuild. For me, the most important changes was that one connected with receipts scan but generally, the app looks much more useful and works faster than before
What is the use of this app if you still need the web site to complete the bills? This app needs the option of gathering more, and not automatic currency costs that rydoo uses. App can only scan one paper receipt, not more. Bills in other countries have more receipts like creditcard confirmations you cannot add with the rydoo app. Always with wrong data like currency and names. Easier way is just take foto of your bill, a printscreen of the creditcard confirmation and send it via the website.
Over the past 20 years, I've used several different expense reporting tools and this one is by far the worst. Having to submit each item separately is the biggest thing. I like to make an expense report for the week and submit it. It's overly complicated and time consuming. I am actively lobbying my company to change.
Since the latest update it's been nothing but problems. Pictures getting stuck in queue, now recently the expense disappears completely, and it's randomly putting thing as reimbursement. Tired of having to reinstall, or be asked by support did you back up your photos. No your ap should work properly.
Sometimes an expense currency changes after submitting, which causes a but of rework and one always has to recheck currencies after submitting. If it wasnt for this, I'd rate it 5 stars. The 'expense email' feature is a favourite. Good app.
The scan receipt option results in a failed upload 100% of the time, despite the app being able to scan and pull all the information from the receipts. I have experienced this with the previous version and the latest version 6.4.1.
The app has some bugs like not being able to copy paste in a description. If you file a bug report for that and a feature request to be able to duplicate a reoccuring expense you get told to: "Stop pasting the description and try to type it manually instead". Very nice customer supporr if you want to help improve their app. /Sarcasm
Total time saver. No more spreadsheets. The app pulls info off a photo of the receipt. So much easier than our old methods. Will never go back!
App continues to freeze when attempting to open. Very frustrating. This problem only recently began in the last 4-6 weeks. Before this, 5 stars.
Very difficult to make a correct expense. You need to fill in ALL fields before you can submit. But what if you can't fill in all fields? And if you payed by credit card you can only choose cash....
Great to use, I've never had an expense system that's as easy to use
The application is terrible, is highly slow to attach a document, all the time appears errors and the page closes constantly, the worst app I ever used.
Amazing upgrade!! The app runs faster and it's even more user friendly then before! Thank you for giving me a reason to chase my colleagues in finance to receive my money quicker, it used to be the other way around ;)
Good idea, poor execution. Crashes often and sometimes refuses to open. Used to be called Expenditure, now I'm uncertain how to pronounce the app name.
Slow. Also if the picture doesn't upload for any reason. It won't be saved. You better check everything or you could be missing some expenses.
Frustrated that I've had to reinstall the app on multiple occasions to clear errors / hang-ups in data uploading and synchronization.
The app is great to have on my phone while traveling, but it takes much more time on the app to process receipts. If that speeds up, I’d give the app 5 stars.
Is not user friendly. Took too long to figure out how to use it. Not intuitive. I only use it once a month. Have to figure how to use the expense reporting each month.
