So slow to load. Sometimes I have to close any other apps I have running to get it to work. Yesterday I lost my left hand menu except for Logout & had to restart my phone to get it back. So far every time I've used the 'mark absent' function the educators haven't seen the notification. Ridiculous that you need an email to be able to be added to the system - not everyone has one!
I absolutely hate this app. I don't know why our daycare uses it. it has issues like: only 1 out of 10 photos are showing, you can't download them, the top part of the photo is not showing. Everything is in 1 place: nappies, food, photos. Every time I open it , it takes 40 -60 seconds to load and ask for pass. It takes hours to change the sleep to awake. The website isn't mobile friendly.
Terrible app. Requires multiple log ins every time I use it. Takes forever to load. No searchability. Admin messages should be pinned to the start menu so that they can be referred to later without having to scroll through the timeline looking for them. Detrimental to the relationship between parents and staff. By all accounts, staff find it difficult and frustrating to use. A complete failure on all fronts.
This app is so buggy. It freezes all the time, if I have bluetooth off it wants me to sign in twice, and does not give me any notifications except for useless ones (like push notifications to sign in or out when I've literally just signed in). Today there was an important admin notification to pick the children up early due to poor air quality, and I only saw it hours later when I was checking manually for any pictures from the day. Very frustrating app.
The educators can put more than 4 photos by post but the parents can see only the first 4 photos. It is not convenient at all to scroll the timeline to see how many meal, how many naps, how was the nappy changes. A recap is missing. Only the sleep are recap in "health" tab. Not possible to download pictures on our phones. Very very slow for each action. Take ages to sign in and sign out from the app on the phone. Please improve quickly your app...
This app definitely needs some major improvements! The centre my child attends moved their communications, pictures etc from kindy hub to xplor and I'm very disappointed. The staff are unable to actually send daily pictures and documents/observations to me as they have told me the app is still very new and wasn't finished properly. It is very slow to load to login or says something went wrong when trying to download pictures if we even get them. Please fix your app and make it better!
Another person who can't stand it. My app changes frequently, swapping between seeing how much space is available in a room and being able to book straight in, to seeing nothing at all and needing to request a day. As someone who frequently makes extra bookings I am now limited to what I can do as I can't see a thing. I hate that g8 went to this over kindyhub, it was so much better in every way.
Very clunky and unresponsive app. Wants to turn on Bluetooth everytime I sign in and when the permission is denied, it logs me out. Have to go through the log in process a few times to get in. And the app doesn't send notifications when we receive messages from the daycare anymore, however it used to do it before.
My sons daycare have changed to this app from kindy hub. I think it's an inferior app, it has many issues with updating etc. I am unable to download photos onto my phone. It's overall focus is not on learning (which I am interested in)! It focuses on the number of toilet visits, portions of food eaten and sleep. These all important tasks, but i was always able to find this information owhen I collected my son. I would rather view the learning activities/styles and how it's aiding his development
Login bug requires fixing. Asks you to "Create a pin" every time you login. The Bluetooth prompt is annoying but am guessing it's being used as a proximity sensor for the Sign In/Sign Out. Usability is also limited if you have multiple children at different centres that use Xplor (e.g. Kindy, OSHC) meaning you can't use the same email or phone with multiple Xplor accounts.
Can't even get in to the stupid thing...i have uninstalled and reinstalled and am just met with 'request timed out' message when i try to open the app. There are no other options to navigate away from that message. when it has worked in the past it takes 5 minutes to load a page...parents dropping kids at childcare usually do not have that spare 5 minutes in the morning to wait for an app to load to sign your kid in! Worst education communication app i have ever used.
This app is awful and does not do what it claims at all. It is difficult to use and provides no ability to communicate with the centre. If you do happen to comment on a post/photo, it is visible to all parents/users but the staff don't actually see it unless they go looking (and nobody has time for that!). Importantly, notifications for admin posts no longer work on Android devices (I can't comment on whether they still work on iOS). Unfortunately I am unable to give this 0 stars.
Horrible app, requires multiple logins, always prompts for blue tooth connectivity, no idea why that is required. No permanent pin to keep relevant information at the top of the list. No option to keep information relevant to your child in a separate section Times out and requires it to be closed and restarted Just horrible
This is a terrible app and like others I'm forced to use it because of my day care. it doesn't have notifications...so often I go days before remembering to log in and look at photos. it's super slow to log in and I don't even bother trying to use the sign in function....please fix these issues!
Terrible app with no functionality. It won't let me sign my child in or out, I have to use the iPad in the childcare centre. I can't access my child's photos or observations through the app nor check my CWA. I don't know why it wants to turn on Bluetooth, seems to serve no purpose. Useless app that I had to download because it's the system my childcare centre recently started using it. I wish they had avoided this terrible, terrible app.
Push notifications should be available. Some days photos don't appear for hours after uploaded. App can get stuck in loop where you are booted to profile and can't get back to timeline without quiting and reloading. Could be so much better than it is!
The timeline is the worst possible user experience. Look at Facebook and Twitter good timeline UIs and get rid of this flip page rubbish where is impossible to see a child's activity's on a day easily. Can't even be bothered navigating anything else in the app after such a scarring experience first up.
Quite a clunky time line view. Lots of space taken up for limited information. It isn't possible to disable to background beacon scan (toggle reverts after avaing and exiting settings) and the app logs out when denying access to Bluetooth so you need to log in again.
Truly awful and unnecessary. Slow, clunky, unintuitive and difficult to navigate. You cannot download pictures, nor view by scrolling. I would advise avoid any daycare that chooses to use this cheap and nasty ap if you can.
Terrible app in comparison to others. Too slow to register sign in / sign out. Notifications don't work throughout the day. Can't communicate with centre / carers in my childs room. App freezes all the time and is unable to log in if I have previously logged in during the day unless I shut down / close the app.
The layout and basic functions are fine, I love the updates and photo sharing but the app it self is so slow as to be almost unusable. The need to sign in every time results in delays that mean I actually give up and move on more than I use it. I don't use it to sign in or out because it's quicker and easier to do it on the hub in centre. And it's quicker and easier to view the updates using desktop mode on my phones Internet explorer.
